I am starting to explore the options for grocery delivery on our first trip since becomming owners.
How did any of you assemble a shopping list for Wegoshop? I've thought of visiting another grocery store site assembling a list and pasting it to the WegoShop order. Is there a better way that I am missing?

I have noticed the threads about ordering bottled water. Frankly I would never have thought of it but it makes total sense. Are there any other items that I should think about ordering to make the stay more comfortable?

We will be SSR in a 1 bedroom for 5 nights.

We did a bunch of snack foods, but we weren't planning on eating in very much. We also ordered alcohol and some frozen mixers.

We go shop is great except they require you to be there during delivery if you order alcohol....and they got there 45 minutes earlier than they had scheduled. That posed a problem.

We've used Wegoshop and GardenGrocer and have been satisfied with both.
GardenGrocer is a little easier because they have a list of products to choose from. When we use Wegoshop, I group the products by type (dairy, fruit etc.)so it will be easier for the shopper to organize the shopping trip. If you paste a list from another site, it would work as well as anything. Try to be as specific as possible on sizes and brands. If you give them your cell number, they will call during the shopping to offer alternatives if they can't match your selections. Enjoy your trip.

Hi
I am interested in this service also....I have to buy enough to feed 8 people for 8 nights....I'm thinking tacos, spaghetti...what other prepared foods options have you tried. I would like them to be easy, so I'm not taking too much time to cook...thanks

When doing our list for wegoshop, I just utilize my own pantry to make the list. I look at size for ceral boxes, syrup, etc.. to make the list. I do Juice boxes, OJ, Milk, water, soda etc.. Froz food for breakfast, snacks and fruit. We do not cook except for breakfast.
Have fun

How much in advance do you have to place your order? How does the cost work? Is it the cost of the items plus a set service fee? What is the service fee? If you've used both, which service do you prefer? Thanks.

The kids liked it when I cooked up hamburger added McCormicks gravy and served it over noodles along with canned corn. I brought the gray from home to save money.

we used wegoshop...and what I did last year was went out to the Publix website (we don't have publix in Minnesota) and looked through a few of their weekly flyers to get an idea of their prices and what sorts of specialty foods they had.

We only need breakfast and snacky things, so we order things that you can't get on Disney property...egg beaters, olive oil, whipped cream cheese, shredded mozzerella, fresh pre-washed spinach, whole wheat bread, tubs of high quality vanilla yogurt; also things we need that are very expensive on Disney property....water by the jug, milk, specialty cheese for snacking.

Two weeks from today is our travel day!

We have used wegoshop on nuemrous occasions......obviously very pleased :thumbsup2

Flats of bottled drinking water is a must. The cost for a flat is basically the cost of buying 3 bottles at the park or the resort.

Being from Canada having different products and sizes we had to look at some american grocery websites to make the list. We have snacks, entrees, frozen foods, water, dairy, alcohol...everything you need delivered to your door

We used wegoshop on our last trip, and would use it again.

I wrote out a shopping list in a notebook, then added/deleted things over a few weeks. i e-mailed them early, to reserve a delivery day, then sent the list a few days before our arrival. I had them go to Super Wal-mart--I could browse in the one by home, to get an idea of brands and sizes of things. Also, we said "generic equivalent" for all but a few things. Oh, and they could get non-food items there as well.

There have been numerous threads about what people cook. Some popular items include tacos, etc., spaghetti, breakfast items, and sandwich fixings. Most DVC resorts have a charcoal grill available . They sell one-use bags of charcoal--I would grill burgers/steaks for one night, and then while I have the coals going, grill some chicken breasts to slice on salad for another meal. Although last time, we just bought grilled chicken strips.

We also got snacks, water, lemonade mix, and refrigerated cookie dough.

Almost everyone missed some of the important stuff like beer and potato chips. :)

we eat out maybe once a day so we purchase bagels, bread for breakfast and sandwich meats plus the bottled water and milk for later in the day. over the years we also learned to go for fresh fruits for the vitamin C and potassium. Also the finger food like chicken nuggets/french fries and fish sticks.

OKW has larger areas for a sit down meal but finger foods, sandwiches and fruit work better for us, kids and g-kids.

well, we didn't do chips, but I bought DH a 12-pack of beer...and he didn't finish it! Oh, the humanity!

We did several other types of snacks, like the peanut butter/cheese crackers. We're nto so much chip people, but you could always make a hearty dip (bean, chili, atrichoke) and consider it a meal. hey, it's vacation--show some imagination!

We just ordered from them last week. This is the 2nd time I've gone with them. The first time, I had a bottle of Arbor Mist ordered and I wasn't there when it arrived.

This time we ordered for breakfast -milk, juice, pop tarts, bagels, eggs, american cheese and sausage (for b'fast sandwiches).

Lunch is wheat bread, tuna fish, bologna, salami, turkey, ramen, chips, doritos and dip.

Just 2 dinners to make, tacos and baked ziti, salad and garlic bread. We usually order pizza from Pizza Hut (although I don't know...their pizzas are getting awfuly small) and we have a few dinner reservations.

Extras are soda, Arbor Mist, 2 cases of water, paper plates and bowls, some different kinds of fruit and dessert is Pillsbury RTB peanut butter cup and chocolate chunk cookies.

Hope this helps!:thumbsup2

We're planning a different, for us, type trip in August. Since it's going to be hotter than Hades (been there, done that before!!), we have decided to do more eating in the villa...breakfast and lunch pretty much. I've used both wegoshop and gardengrocer before, with good results from both services. But, this time we want to do some cold cuts....turkey, roast beef, ham, cheeses...have any of you ordered cold cuts before and how did it work out? I know..silly question. I'm just a bit picky about my cold cuts and I don't want to get less than acceptable meats.

we did, and had no problems. I remember they got the deli Land O' Lakes cheese (we didn't specify a brand--we're not picky). I woudl suggest checking what store might have your favorite brands, then have wegoshop go there. IIRC, gardengrocer only had certain brands of prepackaged deli meats. I think Super Wal-mart carries higher-end brands, like Sara lee, in addition to chepaer stuff. If you'd prefer Goodings or Publix, check their website for brands.
