DTD is almost always a first-day plan for us too.
Oooh Via Napoli. I always say I want to eat here and never actually get to, so now it's at the top of my priority list.

Hi Jacquie, I just wanted to pop in and with you and yours a very happy Easter.

It's definitely a tough trade off between arriving earlier vs a direct flight. Personally, I love the direct flights. It leaves less variables especially in the winter months.

I love that you don't want to waste time getting in that first GGS!

Thank you so much Rob, we hope you all have a Happy Easter too! We're heading over to my sister's shortly after lunch and we're all looking forward to it!

I feel the same way....if we arrive earlier, it also means we have to be at the airport at 330am and then we're zonked by the time we get there! If we can get that direct flight, we can sleep in a bit (like that will happen) and get the room all organized! In August we always worry about thunderstorms and in December we'll be worrying about blizzards!

I do love my GGS's...and I know Shanleigh loves them too (I let her have a sip) and I honestly think it will be he only cocktail she'll like! I'll keep you posted tho!

I am just so proud of the young lady Shanleigh has become. I have loved "watching" her grow up the past few years. I remember when Jeff came into the picture, and I am so happy to see them still together and still so happy. They are both great kids...I mean adults. Sorry, sappy DISer moment there!

Oh Jenn, you brought a little tear to my eye...you are just the sweetest and I am so blessed to count you amongst my friends I really need to get someone to scan some of the "early" years photos, you'll crack up!
Getting a discount is so amazing!! We are having to patiently wait for discounts to come out for our next trip. We've already booked, of course, but still want to lower that price

It sure does help witht he budget doesn't it? I am hoping and keeping fingers crossed that my bonus is as good as last years was!
I'm not familiar with flights at all, since we are close enough to drive. If you book a flight and then the price drops after that, do you get money refunded? Or do you just have to take it at the price you booked?

Shanleigh wishes we were close enough to drive One year, we want to drive down the eastern seaboard and take it all in on our way to Florida!

That's a great question and one I don't know the answer to! I will ask my sister today and let you know!

2009, that was a good trip. I seem to recall some GGS were had on that trip as well.

I came across those pictures last night....they tasted extra good that year cause we were enjoying them with all of you! Happy Easter friends!!

Me too!! Shanleigh will know first day of school which is the second of third of September so we'll have to keep our fingers crossed until then!

We used to never miss Tutto Italia but now Via Napoli is our must do!

I'm glad you enjoyed them...I just wish I had some from our early early trips....Shanleigh was so little and had the magic in her eyes!

They are going to have a ball aren't they? They are celebrating a milestone birthday for my sister and I wish we could go too but that's definitely not in the budget

I never want to waste a park day on our tickets for a few hours on arrival day so DTD still gets us in the Disney mood (like we need any help)

Your first day plans sound awesome! Epcot is such an amazing park. I remember reading the TR when you guys stayed on dvc points for the first time and can't believe how different Shanleigh and her cousins all look now!

Hi Jackquie! I'm a fellow Winnipeg, also planning a trip to WDW but arriving a month after your trip! It was so funny to read your thoughts on flights, as I'm going through the exact same thing!! Except the prices on Westjet for January are $726 per person, and we need 6 seats - ack!!

When I see Happy Easter I realized just how long it's been since i've been on here! Hello again my friend!

Couldn't agree more, I love to just get there and get settled and a DTD gives us enough of a fix until the next day!

I looked back onto that trip and you're so right, they all look very different now! We are hoping for an "all of us" trip next year!

I hear ya on the flights, I've been checking them every week and Delta so far thru Minneapolis is the best deal. Air Transit is a possibility for us too but they don't have their schedules up yet so will have to wait and see if there dates work for us!

I am so happy that I decided to try the taco truck that day and thank you for introducing yourself...it made my day!!! I got back to my office and I emailed my sister right away! Who says you can only have Dis meets in Florida LOL I have become addicted to those tacos but limit myself to once a payday!! LOL I am so very happy we finally met and maybe one day in the summer we can grab lunch and chat Disney!!!

As I get ready to type this I'm not entirely sure how many readers I will still have with me Real life has kicked me in the butt this spring/summer and it hasn't left me much time to be on here!

I can tell you tho that our December trip will not be happening as Shanleigh's university schedule will go further into December than we had hoped! What I can tell you tho is that a new trip will be happening just not sure if it will be May or August of 2014! We should know for sure which it will be at the beginning of September so stay tuned!
