Is the Shawarma station open when you first get on the ship? I think we plan on skipping the buffet and just hang out by the pools when we board the Magic in a couple weeks. Was looking into my dining options :)

Thanks in advance

Yes near the Mickey pool kids pool area from 12 noon it was on our cruise. Next to Petes Bolier Bites but port side.

Please excuse my ignorance but can someone please explain what the shawarma station is? What kind food is served?

You just walk up like you do at the burger counter and tell them what you want. Pita or tortilla, chicken or beef, and toppings then sauce. During busy times it has its own side by Petes' when it is not so busy you just order it at Petes' with the burgers and chicken etc. There is no sign or anything you just kind of walk up. Not much of a line because I don't think many pay it much attention. Favorite meal on deck much preferred over DCL's pizza for me at least, not my kids. lol

My favorite way of making it was Pita bread with shaved steak, pickled veggies and lots of Tzatziki sauce. Every worker made it a bit different some would do sauce in bottom of pita (preferred method by me) and others would do it on top of veggies.
