sorry you had a crazy day....hope all is okay
hope you get to sew some today, I get to clean house
I haven't had much sewing time these last few days. DH decided to take down our old garage on Sunday - I was too busy having anxiety attacks and running into the house with my ears plugged every time he pulled a wall out.
I plan to sew today though.
Can't wait to see the other holiday things that you whip up!
It sounds like if the season passes go to $49 it would totally be worth it. It is about the same cost for a single day. I guess you'd have to decide how much you'd use them. So many rides make me and younger DD motion sick at the local theme parks. I love Disney because not all their rides involve whirling you around as fast as possible.
That's exactly why I love Disney too... it's not all about the rides - there's something for everyone and everyone can enjoy themselves. It's never more apparent to me than when I am at another amusement park, and all I do is chase the girls from one ride to the next, because there's really nothing else that interests me.
Let's just say that I am
really excited to get to Disney.
My computer arrived at the house tonight!!! Back from it's "spa vacation" all clean and sparkly and ready to go! I can multi-quote again!
Now, let's just hope this hard drive lasts longer than the last one!
LOVED the halloween outfit! so cute! I am ready to iron fabric and start cutting for my trip . . . I also need to make Finn's Halloween costume . . . and mine . . .
Yay, glad you have your computer back!

It better last longer this time!
I can't wait to see all the stuff you are making for your trip!

I wish I could take a break from the AG outfits and make something fun for us for our trip... but I must press on.
I plan to start a new series today... I am still not sure about it. I know which patterns I am using - so that's a start. And I know which characters I am doing, so that's even better. I think I need to order some fabric though, if I want to complete the series - I have enough to get started with the first couple of characters though.
I thought I would show you all a few pictures of our garage coming down... it has nothing to do with sewing - except that it kept me from my machine.

It really was the most ugly garage ever! We had planned to take it down years ago, but then we had the tornado (which did NOTHING to that garage

) but required us to put new siding on the house - which led to us footing the bill for all new windows (since you can't put new siding on with out new windows)... Which led to a bunch of stupid building mistakes that we found hidden under the old siding (but that's another story)... OK, so the point to this story is really nothing - other than we are a few years late taking the garage down, but we are really excited to get the new garage up - but that won't happen until spring.
Here's the best before picture I have. Basically, what happened is, maybe a decade or two ago, one of our neighbor's branches fell on the garage. Who ever owned the house at the time didn't make any repairs to the roof, so water poured in and down into the foundation every time it rained... freezing in the winter, contracting and expanding = not good for foundations.
Eventually, the whole roof began to rot out... Along with the rest of the garage.
Over the last year, the foundation really began to move and crack. We knew the garage was coming down this year - and we are a little late doing it, because of Josh's back. Josh noticed, on Sunday morning, the the foundation moved considerably over the last week, it was starting to bow horribly and dangerously close to our neighbor's garage. So, Josh broke both windows on Sunday morning, but a 4x4 post through the one, hooked to a chain - to brace that wall and keep it from falling on the neighbor's garage. Once he did that - you could really see how much the wall bowed out, and it made me really nervous.
So, Josh began drilling holes, and pulling the walls out with his truck, one by one to get the garage to fall peacefully.
It wasn't going so well. We thought the garage was very unstable, but it was a lot stronger than we thought. He was sure that once he pulled out the first little wall, that the garage would come down. He ended up having to pull out 3 walls, and even then, it put up a huge fight.
Finally it was down... Now for the icky part - clean up. YUCK! I hate the cleaning up part. I was on clean up duty with the house, and it was a horrible job. I am really not looking forward to clean up duty with the garage.
The good thing about all of this, is once the new garage is built - there won't be anything left for us to do - except the kitchen and landscaping.
I hope you weren't all too bored with my mini album.
So, I am going to hang out on The Dis for a while... work out, then go sew. If things go well, I might have something posted today.
