Marking my place! It's almost time to go home from work so I will have to come back and read at a later time.

I'm here, and SO EXCITED!!!!
I'm here! So excited for your European Vacation! The girls got to go, so I'm glad you and Josh will also! I really would love to go back to Europe. We lived in Germany twice for a total of 6 years. My youngest was born in Heidelberg. I would love to go back for a visit!
We are debt free as well thanks to Dave.
Can't wait to follow your new trip to DLP.
I made it! I can't wait for the continued adventures of D and the gang!
I'm here too. A NEW Disney to learn about - how fun.

How exciting! Can't wait for your big adventure!
Hi! I'm so excited to see you back on the DIS writing a trip report. Your trip to Europe is going to be awesome, and paying for it in cash is going to make it that much better. I can't wait to read more.
This is Louise by the way. I wasn't sure if you would be able to put my DIS name with my FB name.
I am VERY excited!! Can't wait to hear about your planning and then following along with your adventures! It should be so fun for you to go to DLP - Disney but with a different twist. So happy to read that your healthy lifestyle is all falling back into place. I know you're an inspiration to many people - me included. Almost debt free - woohoo! Seems like you've been able to pay it down pretty quickly once you set your minds to it. Also anxious to hear how your Dad is handling the big move - maybe you'll work that into your updates. Rene'

Hi friend!! Can't wait to follow along!
I can't wait to hear all your plans and your general talking.
I'm here!!! Can't wait to read! We are hoping to go to DLP when we visit my sister next year in Switzerland, although everyone is telling me it is horrible and not to go - I am curious what your girls say!
I am here and so excited! Wooohoo! Cannot wait to hear more about your weight loss journey, your rode to being debt free and of course Disney!
I'm here! I'm so excited for you for this trip. Short reply since I'm replying from my phone...we arrived in Utah yesterday and I've got a terrible head cold and am exhausted....need to unpack and get settled....which includes getting my computer set up.
Hugs to you!
Following along! A trip to Europe and DLP sounds sooo exciting! Can't wait to read all about it!
I'm here. I was at work when you started yesterday. I'm glad your family is doing well and than V. is enjoying Europe. Hopefully your dad will get used to his smaller place. One good thing is that there's less to clean in a small place.
I'm looking forward to reading more.
Liz
So glad that you are getting a chance to go to DLP....how exciting. I would love to go to Germany (finger crossed I go someday) as I was born there (Dad was in the military), but left when I was six months old. My DIS time doesn't feel complete without one of your PTRs or TRs.
Yay! Another D~ pre-trip report! Following along, and I'm excited the hear about all your planning.
Following along. I really enjoyed your last TR. I also like hearing about your healthy lifestyle progress. I did my first whole 30 this past spring & im about ready to do another one. I can feel myself slipping into bad habits. Having a little of this & that is getting out of hand. A friend of mine mentioned the fasting thing that you are doing so I might look into that.
Hi D~! I'm here to follow along. I've missed your daily updates and I'm looking forward to hearing about your healthy living and the planning for DLP!
Hi D! So many things to celebrate! So glad to follow along on your journey to DLP. Cheering you on as your gain momentum on your personal goals, I love that you don't give up! So awesome.![]()
Would it help to write things down? My Dad started to lose his short term memory and so I wrote down the things he kept asking. He liked that he could read the answer so he wouldn't have to keep asking. This is the 3rd time in a week I've had to go over the same stuff with him again and again
It's so wonderful to see our kids find things they love, but it's also so hard to let go. I still want my oldest to tell me everything he's up to, but he is too busy living his life, so I have to catch up when he visits. She had a great time, and really just feels so much in her element there. It breaks my heart in a way I never imagined - yet at the same time, it makes my heart sing.
This is one of the many reasons your Dad should be able to settle in quickly. I think he will realize it soon. It's just a big change for him and will take some time to adjust to his new (better) normal.I am meeting my cousin and my aunt at Dad's house this morning - they are visiting again.
Glad to read that things are going well with you and your family! It's great that V is loving her time in Europe with her peeps. I'm sure this time around it's easier for you because she feels comfortable there. Your Dad is so cute! Sounds like he's settling in well except for feeling his apt is small. Since he can still be out and about should help? At least he doesn't have to be cooped up all day. Winter might be a different story. Are there nice common areas where he lives where he can hang out? Is he receptive to taking part in some of the activities? I think your planning for DLP will be so fun - some different rides, restaurants etc. to consider. I'll be following along!
I'm so glad Victoria is having a wonderful time on her trip. I have a cousin who married a Dutch cheese producer and she lives over there and they have a functioning dairy/cheese production operation that is open to tourists. I'd like to visit someday.
You did the right thing by moving your Dad. You really did. Change is hard, and I think it gets harder as we get older. He will adjust and be fine. Hugs!
I'm curious about what you meant that Whole30 sabotages you?
My plans with alyssa got cancelled yesterday - I got to her apartment and suddenly felt terribly dizzy and sick. I rested at her place for a bit but ended up coming back to MIL's house. I was sad to cancel our plans but just felt too sick. I rested the rest of the day and will take it easy again today....Mark and I both start our new jobs tomorrow. Yikes!
Replying on iPad, so I have to make it short- I am so glad to hear V is loving Europe. Is she doing any drawing or painting while she is there? I really hope your Dad continues to adjust and comes to better terms with his situation. Hang in there! I can't believe you thought about wearing gloves in August! I am ready for the weather to cool down here, but I know it won't for a few more months. Oh- before I forget- I knew I saw a Duffy & Shellie May in there! As you know, they are huge here in Japan. They also have Gelatoni the cat and now a purple bunny called Stella Lou. I really want to get Quinn the Stella Lou. I don't know if they will bring them to the US parks, but I know they have them in Hong Kong, so they might be in DLP. Anyway, have a great day!

Looking forward to hearing about DLP. I've never been, and really know nothing about it.
