Glad you guys had a nice Easter! Loved the maxi dress and the skirt. I must find time to try out some sewing! Our girls had a great Easter, although the Easter bunny over did it a bit this year
Thanks Jennifer! Yes, you must - it's so much fun!
I'm glad you have a plan for now - I hope your auctions go super well so you guys will be able to stay at POFQ. Whoever had the idea about adding Olivia to your reservation to take advantage of your free dining is a genius! I hope your
travel agent can make that happen! Maybe BFF will split the money you are saving her with you!
THanks - me too - LOL. I agree - Lois' idea is fantastic, I have my TA working on it.
Hope Alli has an amazing 16th birthday today!
Thank you - I think she did.
I am starting Weight Watchers today. I did it last year with some friends and lost some weight but I believe I've put it all back on plus some. My work pays for it as long as you attend 3 out of 4 meetings a month, and we have meetings on site so I figured I should take advantage of it. I'm also planning on getting a run in this afternoon. DH said he is trying to get back to his newlywed weight. It's going to take a lot for me to make it back to that - first goal is to stop gaining, then get to pre-Charlotte weight, then pre-Peyton weight. Then I'm going to stop and re-evaluate. Newlywed weight would be nice but I was 20 when I got married and I'm just not sure it's realistic for me to get back to that. We'll see. At least I'm taking steps and moving in the right direction for a change. I'll keep you posted on my progress just because I need some accountability
That's awesome that your work pays for WW - what a great incentive! I am very gald that you have some short term goals as well as some vague long term goals... I believe that's important. When I first started out - I just wanted to see some healthy progress, I had so far to go that I knew it would take me so long to get to where I really wanted to be. Now, I am almost where I was when I met Josh, and very close to my smallest adult weight... So, I've been re-evaluating my goals, as I don't feel like I am done yet.
All I ask, with WW is that you are careful - I get the feeling that sometimes WW is so focused on "Points" and not necessarily nutrition - so I encourage you to eat as many REAL foods as you can and avoid the boxed ones.
I saw the pictures of Alli and MM in the car and all I could wonder was: have they left V somewhere? It was good to see her there with your dad.
Hahaha... No... She is such a turd lately... She REFUSES to have her picture taken - so she put her head on her lap for that one.

She was there, and in that seat - I assure you.
Happy Birthday to Alli, BTW.
Thank you!
I am a terrible person sometimes (button pusher and all) and I have finally found a motivation for loosing weight/ getting in shape. My 'little sister' best friend has lost a full dress size since January & I have to be in a smaller size. Petty, I know, but hey - it's motivation. So much so I did my 8 Minutes in the Morning today and took a short walk at lunch. Seriously though, I also asked my DR about B12 deficiency due to my acid reflux meds & am waiting those results.
Awesome! Good for you Ruth! You can do this. Sometimes it's a little event like that, which catapults us into a life of healthy living.
I also actually worked on a sewing project this weekend! I'm making a friend's daughter a doll and I finally built the dern thing and wigged it yesterday. Now comes the fun part: Clothing!!
Awesome! I hope you'll share pictures with us!
Now, back to work for me.
Peace, Prayers and Happiness to all.
Thank you - the same to you!
I think you look great in both outfits! I'm glad you had such a wonderful Easter with family. We did, too.
Thank you Abby!
Happy birthday to Allison! Your sweet message made me tear up. My DD will be 3 in just over a month and I know it will fly by.
Thank you... Yes - I had a few tears yesterday, as well. It breaks my heart to feel like it's "almost over" - yet, to be so very proud of the person she is and the person she dreams of being. As a parent - I couldn't be more lucky!
D, sorry I missed a few things (Mark's surgery, the kids in town for the weekend, etc.).
Oh Kathy - no worries at all. I've been following you and Mark on FB, and just glad his surgery went well and you were able to spend time with the kids for Easter.
I'm glad you are holding off on changing resorts for the time being as I know how much you love POFQ.
Yes... I just keep thinking of it, and how much we love it there - it's "home" to us... So, I am going to do my very best to make it happen.
However, have you considered "renting points" at one of the DVC's? You might look at the numbers and see where you come out with having to "buy" the dining plan but renting points. We don't use the dining plan anymore because I have a TIW card, but we have found it cheaper staying DVC than paying rack price for the resort.
I have not, and only because we are booked with Free Dining - so I can't imagine that it would be cheaper? I could be wrong, I just assumed.
I posted it on FB, but will post again here...HAPPY 16th ALLI!
Thank you!
Thank you Lillian!
Sounds like you had a nice time at your dads.
Thank you - we did!
I baked two cakes for this evening. I spent all day in the kitchen. When looking at what's left of the two cakes. Everyone liked one of the cakes better than the other
Oooh - those look absolutely devine!!! Beautiful cakes Lillian!!! I hope you enjoyed them too! And Happy belated Birthday!
Good Morning D!!!
Those cute red sandals and your AWESOME skirt got me out of 'lurkdom' again!! You and your hubby look super cute in your Easter photo.
Thank you - it was so much fun to be able to wear them! I feel like I was standing so awkward in that photo - oh well.
Happy 16th to your daughter! My daughter just turned 17 last month and it really is so amazing to see these little girls evolve into such confident young women with so many talents and opportunities. Well done Mom (and Dad too)!
Thank you! It is so hard, yet such a pride filled thing... As a parent - the hardest part, I am finding - is learning to let her make her own mistakes/letting go. I am having the worst time with that!
Loved the Epcot bag too- great idea and that design definitely looked intricate with all those curves and sections! Well done!
Thank you! Yes, I need to post it here - I forgot to do that yesterday.
Have a great rest of your week!
Liz (lucky #18)
THank you Liz... And LOL - I am glad you wrote that at the bottom... Sometimes it get pretty confusing to me, as to who I am talking to. Especially this early in the morning.
Hi D~! I saw the photos and touching birthday greeting to Allison today, so very sweet. My oldest son's birthday is today as well! What a great day to celebrate!
Hi Brenda!!! Thank you - I hope your son had a happy birthday, as well. It's a great day for a Birthday, isn't it?
You look awesome! I love that skirt that you made.
Thank you! Still a long ways to go, but I am making progress - so that makes me happy!
Glad that you had a nice visit with your dad. I'm sure he was feeling very blessed to spend time with you and the family.
THank you - it was a very nice visit!
We went and visited my parent's for Easter and really enjoyed being away. Baby Jeffrey did great for his first 6+ hour car ride. Hope he continues to do this well when we do the 2 day drive to WDW in just under 2 months!!!!
Glad your family had such a fun filled weekend!! Happy Birthday Allison!!
Glad little Jeffrey did so well on his long car ride... I agree - I hope he does that well when you drive to Disney!
And thank you - I think she had a great day!
**********************************************************
Yesterday was chaotic, at best.
I was having computer issues in the morning, so I was running late.
I did my lifting yesterday... As some of you may remember, I backed off of the weight on my bar several weeks ago, in an attempt to work on my range of motion... I am happy to report that I am back up to squatting 65lbs (5 reps of 5)... Now, my next challenge, is to be able to clean and press 75lbs over my head, so I can put the bar on my shoulders to squat - that's what's keeping me from going up now. I wish I could afford/had the space to put a squat rack in my house, then all of this would not matter. Oh well. I figure I will just do the best I can. Squatting 65lbs is better than not squatting anything at all.
I also finished my first auction bag yesterday. I am very happy with it! I have a smaller one cut out and quilted, I just have to figure out what I plan to put on it - I have an idea - not sure if it will work or not?
Since it was Alli's birthday - she chose to go to Olive Garden for dinner ... BFF and O met us there. I had planned to get a picture of the whole table - but I'd forgotten. Shame on me!
Josh also stopped after work and picked up one of her most requested gifts... She wanted a fish.

So, he got her a little bowl, with a Sponge Bob thingy for inside, and a betta - which she named "Finnley" LOL.
Afterwards, we came home, had cake and went to bed... Pretty uneventful. The only thing that makes me feel better is that we are taking them to Disney to celebrate their birthdays - I am of the mind that the "Sweet 16" should be a big deal.
Today, I work at Target... Sigh. I would much rather be here working on my auction bags... Oh well. I might try and get up there for a little while this morning.
Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all, have a marvelous day everyone!
D~
