I called DCL to ask something today and when she pulled up my resie, the agent mentioned that she had just spent almost an hour on the phone trying to find a family a spot on our cruise. She said that there was nothing left - she said that the woman told her that she would be willing to pay any price and that we could probably make some money

I just checked online, and they are still showing Cat 6-11 as available??

It could be due to the ages of the kids that is shows no availability?

I thought that it was weird, because my friend called just a few weeks ago and was quoted a price and that was for two rooms (there is five of them.) Maybe there are too many of them for one room, only want verandah rooms or certain category etc....

Not sure, but that's what she told me.

We just found out that we will be in stateroom #7509 with main dining, via the website. Still waiting for docs - hopefully will get them before the end of the week. Since we just booked, we certainly cannot complain.
We are going on this cruise to celebrate our 25th Anniversary (yikes).

Hmmm -- all of our lucky numbers must be 7! I called Disney the other day and the woman on the other line said to me "Boy you are leaving on 7/7/07, are in a Category 7 cabin, and on the 7th floor --- you should play the lottery" So what do say -- is there a mega-ball jackpot we can all share in???? or is the cruise all of our ways of "hitting the lottery"??

I am getting so excited!!

I hope you and Kirstyn have a safe trip. Just remember, no matter what happens on the way there, flight delays or whatever, there is nothing you can do about it, so take everything in stride, smile, relax, and be . You're on vacation! That's my plan.

We'll see you at dinner on the 6th at 8:00 (or 20:00)!

So I've been stressing about my tours and not really paying attention to this thread....

So are we still having a DisMeet at the Sailaway party? Is anyone from late dining joining me?

I did get booted out of the brunch meet because Disney wouldn't allow me to have 2 brunches scheduled. So I gave my spot up. I'm okay with it but I think Disney isn't cool.

Oh, and I tried to change tours to another available tour and it was booked even though online it is showing available so now I'm trying to decide if I want to do a private tour or not? And, if you try to call Disney they can't even see how many spots are available. And, reading the trip reports makes it so confusing. UGH...

We have the late dinner seating as well. Are the seating arrangements preassigned before you get on the ship?

Not having cruised before, I have heard that you dine with the same group each night.

Packing - We have a big pile of things that we wanted to take. Now we are trying to get them all in the suitcase! We are trying to take only what is necessary, but not forget anything.

I am so ready to be in vacation mode. No worries, just enjoy. Things never go exactly as planned, but so what. Enjoy the adventure. Sometimes a little uncertainty can lead your trip down a more enjoyable path that you had originally planned. I'm still considering the "all day taxi" in Naples.

Last night the New York area airports got hammered with thunderstorms, and Philadelphia had a power failure at the airport. We had a lot of diverts into Washington DC from that. A significant number of people ended up spending the night in the airport since all the hotels filled up. The airport provided blankets and pillows to make them a bit more comfortable. I know many people had their travel plans disrupted. If something like this happens on your way to Europe, just roll with the punches and make the best of it. It is thunderstorm season.

I know many DisBoarders are starting their trips in the next couple of days. Safe travels and have fun! See you on the cruise!

Regarding dinners, we have only been seated with my parents at a 6 person table on our past 3 Disney cruises. We have been assigned our rotation upon receiving our Key to the World Cards and a table number. Each night you will go to the restaurant you are assigned to for that night and find your table number (a silver number on a small stand).

We just got back late Tuesday night from 5 days at Disney. I took the boys for the last Star Wars weekend. We really had a blast. It was hot and very crowded, but we had a great time and made the most of our days. I'm a bit worried about packing for Europe now. We took 2 rolling duffle bags with 6 outfits, 2 swim suits, 2 pair of pajamas each, a few snacks and our Disney misting fans. Just buying about 6 t shirts and 5 Star Wars light sabers brought us up to 54 and 50.5 pounds at check in. Fortunately they let me slide without the $25 fine.

We are going to go through our excursions later and cut out a few Disney excursions and do them on our own. I've been trying to get in touch with someone in Naples for an all day taxi too but haven't heard back.

By the way, if you get the chance to see We Will Rock You, then go for it. It was fantastic. It really brought to life the Queen songs, and painted a cool picture as to our possible future. Oh yea and the jokes were hilarious. They really Canadianized it for us, even down to the maple leaf undies. I'll leave you wondering about that one
