"Seven Seven 07" 20070707-11 Night Mediterranean Cruise

So anyway, I was truly impressed and can't stop thinking about our trip and am working on my albums, I must have over 1000 pictures. On that note I wanted to just put this out in case anyone could be helpful. While we were in the port of Civitivecchia, we were on the first shuttle bus and I left my camera on the bus (not too smart). When I went to get it out of my backpack it wasn't there, I emptied my backpack on the bus because I had a water leak, I thought I put everything back in but I guess I didn't. When we got back to the ship I checked my room thinking maybe I just left it in the room. No, it was not there so I am pretty sure I left it on the shuttle. Anyone see or here of anyone finding a camera, as of late no one has turned it in. The bummer is that the shuttle busses were going to all the ships in port that day and there were 5 ships, I am trying the other ships guest services to see if one of their guest turned it in to their ship. Anyway, I don't care about the camera, I just ordered a new one today, but I would love to have my SD Card with my pictures on it. Unfortunately I did not have my name or address on my camera, I will definitely do that with the new one. I lost 2 days of pictures (Olbia and Naples - Amalfi Coast) and didn't have a camera for Rome, however, I was with 3 other couples and they will share their pictures with me. I did also have a backup camera in my room. Anyway enough of that. I didn't let it spoil my trip.

What a bummer... Sorry to hear about your camera. Hopefully, it will turn up...

Sorry to hear about your camera Kay .. I feel upset about losing my Paris umbrella on the boat, I guess I should count my blessings. I still have my photos!

We are back too... We had a great time. I really wished I had time to meet more of you guys. Thanks for all the little goodies too. I wasn't expecting them. We were one of those passengers that had loss luggage so all my info about the DisMeets were in that suitcase. So I was thankful that DadOfLostBoys called to remind us of the DisMeet. We tried to look for you all at the sailaway party but no luck.

I did go to the Dis meet but showed up late as it was the same day as our Tea with Alice & Mad Hatter. So I do remember meeting Kathy, Sherri & Hawaiian Mickey & DadOfLostBoys. Glad I met you all. I wanted to meet more but time got away from us.

Also, Disney wouldn't let me join you in your brunch at Palo because I already had a reservation for brunch which is totally understandable. However, when I got on board and I found out that since I was in a category 3 that I could have as many as I wanted. So I was really bummed to learn that as I really wanted to go. Oh, well.... The weird thing was I was eating brunch at the same time the group was but I wasn't sure if it was you guys. And, the waiters weren't very helpful in verifying it was you guys.

Finally, had I known that I could have had a reception party in our room for the DisMeet I would have. I didn't know that the category 3 room came with such privilages.

Anyways, the cruise was great and beyond my wildest expectations even with loss luggage. We had a GREAT time and can't wait to cruise Disney again. We meet a wonderful family on board with 2 girls the same age as ours and we basically spend alot of time with them. It is just amazing how friendly everyone is on board. We had a great time. We didn't rebook as we are going to wait for the new ships in 2011. I know a long wait but I'm sick of cruising the Caribbean. Maybe we'll squeeze a 3 or 4 day in there between now and then.

Anyways, I hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

Yea! We're back home too!!

I never thought I'd be happy to see a vacation end, but I must admit that it was nice to get back home. We had a great time and especially enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people! I am now facing a mountain of laundry, waiting for three weeks worth of mail to be delivered, and sorting gifts, souvenirs, and junk that I just couldn't throw away. Thank you to Jeff (Monstro) for starting this thread, John (Lost Boys) for his organization, t-shirts, and magnets, Sheryl (Dylcal) for the DIS magnets, and all the other DISers who came out to meet us and make us feel like part of the group

I hope everyone enjoyed the rest of their vacations and had safe trips home. Let's keep in touch and share photos (especially for Kay), if you have a chance. Any directions on HOW to share photos would be appreciated .

Well, we have been back to reality for a week now, and the "best vacation of our lives" seems a distant memory.
Since we decided on doing the Med just two weeks before sailing, we were not too involved with your group, but it was nice to meet the DIS'ers that we did, and wish we could have met everybody. Thanks to John for his organizing the DIS meet, even though we had to leave early to do the 'Mickey 200', and to Derek and Danielle for keeping us company during our return (we made the plane - just barely).
Thanks to everybody for the gifts - magnets, wristbands, pirate stuff, and envelope (that was an incredible help in staying organized).
Did you get some mail from Disney's Castaway Club? Today, we received a small puzzle that the kids have already been fighting over.
We do have a lot of pictures, and if Kay, or anybody else needs something, I am sure between all of us we probably have it. It would be cool if there was a way to catalog everything.
Hope everybody gets the cameras, umbrellas, and luggage they are missing. DD15 left a computer bag in our stateroom after our March cruise, and two weeks later DCL called and asked if we were missing a bag (it was my bag and I didn't know it was missing). After they explained what it was (obviously mine), they shipped it back to us - no charge. What great service! (But they did not do that with the rum cakes we had left the year before).
It was a great trip - truly a trip of a lifetime - that we will remember for a long time!
Talking (and typing) and reading about it keeps it current - so keep it coming!

Since we returned, each day I think about where the Magic is now. It just completed the 10 day cruise that followed ours. It has now sailed away from Barcelona again on the 11 night cruise. They will be starting their first day at sea with the sunrise in about an hour.

After a vacation like this, it is a great time to sit back and reevaluate things. Remember what is really important to you. Too many people get caught up in the day to day and don't take time for themselves and their family. My family now has some wonderful memories that we made together in places that we may never go to again (at least together). I hope each of you and your families had the experience that you were hoping for...

This was the first night at sail-away - if I remember correctly. I think they are saying -

"So how much is this whole trip really going to cost us?! - Do you think we can jump overboard when we get back to the BCN port, and make the swim to the dock? - and if we do - will that mean that our credit cards won't be charged if we aren't here to sign off on the bill?"

I think that is Vance APinCA on the far right, and that elbow on the far left is my DH Phil. ( No I can't tell that by just his elbow - Denise sent me a link with other pics and there is more of him in those!)

Yes, Sherri, that is Vance. I recognize the hair cut that he had to get before we left. He's back at his desk now, busily downloading my video from the trip and all of my lovely photos. He had a couple thousand I think. We haven't gotten everything together yet. I can't believe that we've been back for over three weeks and we're still just getting to the photos!

Hope you are all enjoying you photos and memories! I haven't figured out how we are going to share the photos, but will keep trying.

Sorry it took so long. It's been very busy since we came back. I just want to say thank you to everyone for making our trip very special.
Our whole family enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you throughout the cruise.

We are really looking forward to the announcement of where the cruise will go in 2009.
Next year we are doing Hawaii!!! (Eleni's HS grad gift. Asked her where she wanted to go and she said WDW. We said not in summer so she picked Hawaii)

I have already booked on Hawaiian! Got such a good price too. We fly out of SFO but back into Sacramento. (better price) We usually use miles but the price was too good for that. We will be staying at Ko Olina. We have a timeshare there with Marriott. We will be there 2 weeks. Can't wait, it is such a nice place. It is so beautiful and peaceful there.
What do you do for Hawaiian?
We will be on Oahu the whole time. Any suggestions? We went to that place, can't remember the name, where they filmed Lost and other movies. That was fun. But I will take anything you have to offer!!!
