I believe they share facilities, and there is a shuttle between you can take. There is also a walking path between them. Maybe someone will know how long the walk is. Going from Kidani back to Jambo you can get on any park bus, they all stop at Jambo.

...it's about ten minutes....

We are doing a split stay in January 2013, 5-10 BLT and then 10-12 AKV Kidani Savanna View. I am trying to figure out if we should just plan on spending one whole day at AKV since the September 2011 resort activity listing had so many things to do. Our ADR window opens up on July 9 so I want to be prepared.

....ABSOLUTELY! If you can stand to lose a day at a park, by all means, take advantage of all AKL has to offer. Besides, it'll help you get your 'second wind', especially if you do the parks 'commando style'!

:grouphug: for everyone without power. Brandi, I hope you had a generator for all that venison!

We are surviving here, made it through the weekend concert and rehearsal, but Fran's foot and leg sweeled up a whole bunch. Too much activity over the weekend. We are in the doctor's office right now they are removing the dressing and hopefully she will get one of those skin grafts. The rep from the company is here and he's supposed to be present when she gets them, so that's a good indication one is coming.

On the AKL front, only four days until I can make my next reservation!

I'm sorry her foot and leg are giving her more issues. :goodvibes But :woohoo: for the AKV reservation!

67+hours without power... I came home today, without power here and we are going to check Into our hotel....

 must be awful. A few years ago we had a huge wind storm with hurricane force gusts. Was in winter, and no power for 3 or 4 days. Not fun!!

Good morning Js & Ks!! :goodvibes

Life is finally returning to normal (whatever that is!)!!! The A/C is back on and our temps have retreated from the 100's to the balmy 90's!! :rotfl2: ATL broke their all-time highest temp record, hitting 106 Saturday. Athens, GA was 109.

Spending 2 nights in a hotel so close to home was strange! I would have rather spent those nights up in the mountains, but had to stay close to the house. :headache:

Brandi, is your power still out? :flower3:

Hope y'all have a great day. What's everyone doing tomorrow? Our family is going to Chateau Elan - the winery in Braselton, GA. It's becoming a tradition! They have a nice fireworks display to end the evening. :goodvibes

Glad to hear things are back to normal for you!

Sounds like you have a great day planned. We have always known what our plans would be for the 4th: it's my father's birthday! This year is extra special since it's his 80th and he almost died last summer. He's very excited since we're all going to a steak house!

Happy Birthday to your father! :bday: Have a great time -- love those family celebration meals! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

...well, hope your dad has a very happy birthday! :thumbsup2

Brandi - You guys have been hit so hard. Our area too, but we are so fortunate that we got our power back. My boss, who lives less than a mile from me, is also on day 5 without power and they have been told "maybe" by the end of the week. They lost all the food in their refrigerator as well as their freezer. They cleaned the freezer out very well and then had a company come and haul the freezer away because it had already started to mold. The folks across the street from us are still without power. It is so hit and miss it boggles the mind. I am glad you found a hotel to move to; there aren't any available in our area.

Alison - I hope things went well for Fran yesterday.

Laura - I am glad you got your AC back. Seems it was about as hot in our old stomping grounds of Athens as we are here! Your July 4th plans sound like fun!

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Anyone hear from Kathy lately?

Such a shame that the clean-up and power restoration is taking so long. :sad1: Prayers and good thoughts are going out to all those affected.

Good morning, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Anyone hear from Kathy lately?

It has been awhile, hasn't it?

Kathy - check in please! We miss you. :grouphug:

Kimmar - It won't be too many more pages and we'll be relying on you to lead us to Lite VIII! :woohoo:

 ....think of it as an unexpected vaca....;)

Yes, but if I had ice to make a drink or a fan that worked, I might be able to dream about a vacation...

Ugh! Hope things turn around soon!
They are bringing people on line all the time, they have not made their way to our house yet....

....hope she didn't lose too much in her fridge! :guilty:
I have not opened my fridge since Saturday morning.... So who knows...

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry. I hope it comes back on soon.
Me too

The freezer I have is a commercial grade, and supossed to last a week without spoilage if you don't open the doors... Ours has not been opened since before the power went out, so we will see.

Oh no. :goodvibes Hope it's back on soon.
Me too...

We lost power last winter and we just had blankets and sleep well, our hot water heater is gas so we had hot water and I kept thinking that I was so glad it was not summer.. This has been down right awful.
