...oh, no - nothing bad....well, except for today. I broke my tooth at my S-i-L's surprise b'day party this past Saturday and I have an appt to get it fixed at the dentist...my mom is flying in from Puerto Rico on Sunday, my DS is graduating H.S. next Tuesday, my niece's H.S. graduation is June 22, my DS's grad party is next weekend, and, that same weekend is our church's annual carnival.....

I am not brave, he only ask to book the flights and buy the tickets for this WDW trip. Nothing else is being handled by the man in the family.....

He has never booked or did anything before regarding our vacations in the 29 years we have been married. So it was quite surprising when he ask me not to do the air fare. They are now booked I have been told. I have NO idea when we are flying home...or if we are flying home! He most certainly has something up his sleeve for our anniversary.

I almost forgot I have a question for your all. Which isn't totally on topic, but will be used for our trip to WDW so hopefully it is ok to discuss.

I am thinking about getting i-pad. I have read that many here on the DIS have one already. I would like to know if you are happy with your i-pad, what kind you got and if you got it with just wifi or with cellular also.

I have been traveling a LOT lately and carried a laptop, case and all the stuff it needs gets heavy and counts as my carry on when I fly. I also really dislike using my phone to post on here or even read sometimes. Things are so small and it is easy to hit the wrong button.

I would really appreciate your sharing your thoughts, likes, dislikes with your system. I am seriously considering getting one in the next month or so.

Hi Ann,

DS has an apple Ipad 2, with wifi, we all use it actually and love it. It's awesome for trips, he watches movies and stuff on it. He also has books on it, so it can be used "like" a kindle, it's also good for viewing pics, and it has both front/rear facing camera, so it's awesome for when I facetime our grandbabies!!! I love the bigger screen for going online, MUCH MUCH MUCH better than my iphone screen!!!

(he got the 64 gigabyte model, but they have them in 8 and 32) it also supports itunes and the app store, OHHHH and really important, it has GREAT battery life!!! He gets about 10 - 11 hours.

I don't think you could go wrong with it - again, we love it and use it all the time.

** Also, My oldest has a 2 as well - he looked at the 3's cause he was thinking of upgrading, BUT, he said the only real difference is that it has retina display and faster processor - so, he doesn't think its worth it.

I just got one for my Birthday :good vibes Have the New iPad 32 GB, wifi. Love it . I wanted it for travel too, instead of having to lug my laptop around. Didn't get cellular option, as most hotels, and other places to pick up wifi.
And I don't plan on carrying it around in the parks.
I did buy a camera adaptor for it, so I can download my camera photos on it while I'm on vacay, then transfer to laptop when I return home.

I got an iPad 2 about a year ago and love it. I just have the basic 16GB WiFi version. I decided to go for the WiFi version as I was worried that I would otherwise run up a huge data bill. I got this primarily to be able to go online when we are on vacation, but I also have the Kindle app on there and therefore use it everyday. I really love the Notes app and use this to type most of my trip reports and then I can just email it to myself right from the app.

I am leaning for just wifi, however he thinks you can turn the cellular part on and off for a month at a time? Sounds good if true, only have it on when we are traveling.
