Can someone tell me what this ride is like compared to Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Goofys Barnstormer? Also, if there is a thread about the ride, can you give me the link. I cant find it when I do a search. Thanks.

I would rank it closer to the Barnstormer than Big Thunder or Splash Mountain. It's a much smoother ride than Big Thunder.

Definitely calmer than Big Thunder. It dos seem too short the first time, but I must have been paying too muc attention to the details and not enough to the ride. It seemed longer each time afterwards.

It's like Big Thunder's little brother. I really enjoyed the little coaster, and like the new tech they employed with the dwarfs.

I didn't have high expectations after reading up on it, but it was a lot of fun! It's very cute and has a few thrilling moments.

All four coasters are pretty much the same to me thrill wise. I love them all but they are all pretty tame.

agree. I (who had read about it here on the Dis) was pleasantly surprised by it's length (I thought it was going to be much shorter from reading reviews), DH and DD (who I had told that it was fairly short) were both surprised by what a quick ride it was. We all thought it was better/ longer than Barnstormer but not as good (rollercoaster-wise) as BTMRR. Would ride it anytime with a FP but would not wait in that long line!

It is short and a smooth ride. Be warned if you are sitting towards the middle or back, takeoff is quite abrupt and fast.

A word about the stand by line. We rode using a FP+ once during the day but the kids wanted to ride again. My husband groaned about the 80 minute wait and really, none of us were too keen. But, we aren't planning to go back for at least a year so we decided to wait it out. Much to our delight and surprise, the line moved fairly quickly and was only an actual waiting time of ~35 minutes! We were pleasantly surprised! I can't say if that is the norm or atypical but it was what we experienced.

Can you do Rider Swap on it? Curious as my wife and I would want to go on it, but we have a toddler that may not be tall enough for it.
How does that work if you get a Fast Pass?

You can do rider swap on it you just see a CM before going into the FP line (make sure you have the child that can't ride bc they need to see him/her) and they give you a pass. Whoever rides first goes on the ride through the FP line if you have a FP and when they are done riding the next rider goes through the FP lane using the Rider Swap Pass so technically the second person riding would not need a FP.

That wasn't our experience. We rode it once with FP+ and once with a standby of 70 minutes. I timed it and our actual wait was 80 mins. It isn't worth an hour and 20 minute wait.

I'm not a big thrill ride person (for instance, I have never and will never set foot on RNRC after having been scared out of my mind by The Hulk at IOA way back in the 90s!), but I do enjoy roller coasters like BMTRR that don't have inversions. So I like speed, but not being upside down. That being said, when we rode in the front of 7DMT, it seemed really, really boring. In the back, it's much more fun because it seems faster.

The one time we did 7DMT, I think the posted wait was 60 minutes and we waited about 30. I wonder if the key is whether the line is spilling outside the ride queue? When we entered the line, there were no people winding their way back toward the Teacups outside the actual ride queue. Then again, we also rode SB during MVMCP, when there were no FP+ people to deal with.

We really loved it. I booked fp+ for it on all 4 of our MK days and didn't know going in if I would keep them all, but we did. It was PERFECT for me and my dd, it being her first time on coasters of any kind. We loved Big Thunder too (it was her fave) but 7D was a close 2nd for her. Not everyone loves the big coasters, so it's nice to have these ones as options.

We had the same experience, one in the last car, once in the front car. Two very different experiences!
