If you go to the ride on the Disney website and click the box in the corner of the picture it brings up a thing to find your dwarf name. It says training begins in 14 days! Then at the end it says come back in 18 days to finish training. So that could mean a possible May 14th or 18th opening.

I was wondering this, too. We got a DVC preview for TSM. It broke down when we got to the front of the line, but it was still fun going through the waiting room. We'll be there next weekend so fingers crossed.
