i have a bottle of "aloe vera drink with honey" sitting in front of me. the label has a picture of an aloe plant, with the spiky fat leaves and all. i just noticed, in little letters, it says "serving suggestion." what?? they suggest serving aloe vera drink in the form of an aloe vera plant?

;)

if that is the stuff you were talking about, the serving suggestion i have for you is NONE at all.

On the plus side, your lips'll probably be baby-butt soft. ;)

Nope, can't take credit for this. My post was innuendo-free :).

(If JTB is going where I think she's going with this, Wags you'd better hide;).)

carrie's right. the stuff was disgusting.

i'd had it before (a different brand, from a korean supermarket), and it was good. this stuff was product of thailand or something and it was stanky. yucky. nasty. ew ew ew. (sickeningly sweet in a really artificial way...)

Maybe you're supposed to water a plant with it??????

One of the more delicate descriptions of the benefits of aloe-vera juice, taken orally:
This refreshing drink helps soothe the digestive system and assists the self-cleansing action of your body.
And here I just thought you could kiss your chapstick goodbye with this juice. ;)

ewww.

(btw jeannie - i bought the good stuff in ktown NYC and the bad stuff in the super88 near BU... what does that tell you.. :p)

WHat does that tell me...ummm, that you're ready to have another go at kimchee ???? ;)

Well, not for nothing-you people did give us bubble tea. :)(I tried this Black Tea with Sesame Seed and Sago at Sweet N Tart -what the heck is Sago anyway? I was a little skeptical when it arrived but ...OMG!!!! It was fantastic!!!!!!! And for $4.25 it better have been.)

mmmm sweet n tart .. such a teenybopper place. haha.

sago = pearls = tapioca balls. no one really knows what they are, but they're yum. hehe.

Aaah, I had no idea that the tapioca balls were also called Sago-my Taiwanese/HK friends teach me NOTHING. Well, that's one mystery solved!:)

Teenybopper-heehee! That's how you know you're old...I go there and pretend I'm a teenybopper;). (And if I'm with white friends, I also try not to let on that I'm not Chinese..lest we get the-winkwink, nudgenudge "tourist" menu ;))
