Seriously,does anyone find this attractive?

 That is so sad and in NO WAY attractive !!

That dress is from his ready-to-wear line?!? I'd have to lose half a person to wear that!

Poor child. I feel sorry for her.

It's an illness. She doesn't see herself the way we see her. The competition to be and stay rail thin runs rampant.

The industry has a very warped concept of size. When I stopped modeling, and started eating, I began getting plus size offers (which is size 16) when I was around 160 lbs and apparently looking rotund at a size 8. :confused3

It really is warped isn't it? Lane Bryant sells plus size clothing and I've seen some ads where I just know that they have to be making the clothes especially for the models because they are obviously size 10 or less. Crazy.

I agree, I don't think that model would look at that picture and see ''Omg, I am far too thin"...it's really sad, the emphasis on stick figure thin.

Not even a little! I like a woman with some curves and junk in her trunk! :thumbsup2

The irony is that you would never find a picture in Penthouse or Playboy with a woman that thin, so we can't blame the men for this one...it's just not what most men find attractive.

(meaning, alot of times, people talk about pressure for young women to maintain a look that men deem attractive. This has nothing to do with what men want, because most men find that too extreme and not feminine)

Well, at least me. I would rather date a woman 75 pounds overweight than the woman in the picture.... maybe more!

Perez Hilton posted this pic of Kate Bosworth on his blog a while back- Yuck!
(The "sexy?" was put on there by him, not me, for the record.)

The thing is, there will be someone out there that is arguing that these girls aren't dieting too much, they are just naturally thin, they have fast metabolisms, etc. I remember reading lines like that when spain (I think?) put a limit on how thin a model could be and still walk the runway. It's like many in the industry just refuse to see that a problem does exist.

How can they at Guy Laroche even THINK that women will buy clothes that are being showed that way???
I mean, no "normal" woman in the world, that has the money to buy Guy Laroche clothes, will ever associate herself with a girl that young, skinny and scary!

If I had the money to buy the Laroche clothes, a picture like that would NEVER EvER get me into their store to actually try on a dress like that (can you even call that a dress?), or buy it!

Pictures like this are sick....

It just makes me sad -- the same kind of sad I feel when I see someone who's so morbidly obese that they can barely function. :(

Somebody break out the emergency Cheeseburger- make it a double!!

My guess is not only is she anorexic, but an addict. Heroin or cocaine? Maybe she ought to start smoking pot- she could use a good case of the munchies.

I cant' believe anyone would put her on the runway. It's sad.

*shudder*

I think maybe the Grim Reaper finds that look attractive.... other than that I can't think of anyone. :confused3

YIKES! That is so scary. There is so much focus these day on obesity in children, and it is a problem-but on my last visit to my local mall I saw more tween and teen girls going for THAT look, rather than overweight. Skinny jeans, belly shirts and you could wrap your hand around their thighs.
My niece is 20 now and a healthy weight, but I still remember buying her school clothes when she was 10 and having her ask me if the skirt made her look fat.
We need to teach ourselves and our children about balance in food choices. I don't agree with taking all the "bad" choices away, I'd rather see them learn how to balance the "good" and the "bad". There seems to be an extreme thing going on-either we're obese or we're too thin.

good lord...this is exactly why we have so many girls struggling with their weight when they dont need to be..i was totally one of those girls growing up saying i wanna be like that..i had pictures from magazines that i would keep to remind me of what i need to accomplish..did i have an eating disorder absolutely....will i let my daughter go down the same road..NO WAY!!!!

Seriously,does anyone find this attractive?

I can't speak for him personally, but Skeletor might be interested.
