We are looking at going either Sept 22 or 23 for a week and I just checked availability for the 21st to see what things looked like. There was BC (our 1st choice) and BWV with standard, Boardwalk view and garden all available.

Maybe the Sept secret isn't out yet.

Alot of members hold off for the Food & Wine Festival, which starts September 28 this year.

I had a nice vacation with 5 friends last September, the weather was great, point costs were the least and we got to a MNSSHP! If you're going there then, I hope you have a great time!

We've only been March, April, May, June, September, and October and liked September the best thus far. Now, we have school age children and are limited to Spring/ Summer/ Fall Break. We liked September the best, as others said, the small crowds, low points, and MNSSHP (late enough). Enjoy your trip.

The September Secret is that most of the hurricanes hit in late August and September.

September will probably always be a low crowd time. Every school in the country is in session, it is still hot and there aren't any special events going on.

We are going Sept 19 - 26, we got our #1 Choice of a Dedicated 2 Bedroom at BC, but i too noticed when checking availability that a lot was open. Cheap point cost and low crowds... That beats the heat any day... Plus, We always went in july or august as a kid, so i'm not worried about the heat!

If you want to wait for F&W or it to cool down, I will take my shorter line times, and just get a drink or dole whip to cool me down, while i get back in a short line! :)

Dh and I went last September for a long weekend at OKW and loved it! Low crowds and great weather - we lucked out with no hurricanes. We can't travel with the kids then, but look forward to when it is just the two of us and we and we can travel then. We love the warm weather and low points.

our last 2 trips have been spetember. best time to go imho. still warm enough for water parks. lines aren't bad. lowest point price. the secret must be out a bit though as we were not able to get the same accomodations we got last time. (2bed v at AKV) Will still be happy with 2 studios and then a move to the tree house villas. And we love the mnsshp. kids end up missing abit of school but it is only every three years so no biggie! they were younger last 2 trips and grades didn't matter but it looks like this years' trip i may have to declare a couple homeschooled for a few weeks so their grades don't suffer! we shall see....anything for disney!!!!

Sssshush!!!! Stop spilling the secret!! Except once in the past several years, I've always been able to get the exact reservation I want in September -- after Labor day and before F&W starts. A great time of year. Only one hurricane experience and those lovebugs tend to come out in late September (but boy are they annoying!!).

the first trip we took my kids called them "double bugs." it stuck....i'm just waiting for the trip when my oldest are old enough to figure out what those double bugs are really doing.....hehehe. they will be 13 this year...getting close i think!

We've gone in September the last two and stayed at boardwalk with boardwalk view both times. We got married down there in 2010 in September and it was hot and humid and last year too. Everyone was walking around soaked with sweat. I know it's Florida so it want horrible, but we prefer January weather. We thought the crowds weren't bad, but still Pretty busy compared to 2010. We are doing December this year, so hoping for Good weather then too. :wizard:
