OK, I am laughing so loudly I woke my husband up! I filled in my online check in last night and it asked me if my 5 year old and 7 year old daughters were pregnant. I was just as tickled then as you are now!

I also agree that the next 7 weeks are going to seem way too long and the cruise itself will be way too short! Maybe instead I can figure out a way to wait one week and cruise seven??

I'm relieved I wasn't the only one that thought that question was silly. I did not expect it at all!!!! I even turned around and asked her, "Are you pregnant?" And she said, "Um...yeah?"

I like the way you think - leave in a week and cruise for 7!! Now you're talking!!!!

On the front of the passport is this weird looking icon at the bottom. And then on the back page, I think it was, it talks about your "electronic passport". I could tell there was an immediate difference between theirs and the one DS and I have because their covers are much thicker, the pages are in color and very nice. It's a very nice passport. So, while I was teasing DH that if he didn't get his passport, DS and I would just have to cruise without him. Now he's teasing me he has the cooler passport and apparently can use a faster customs line if offered than I can!

We got the passports for that reason - if we have to fly back and don't have them, I don't want to deal with the hassle of needing to get back in to the country! Because, like you, I figure if we're having to fly back in to the country - it's not for a good reason! Better to have them and not need them than to not have them and need them - that's my motto!!

Thanks! I think our Passports from March may be old school passports but I will double check to be sure.

Hi everyone !

Just back from WDW ! I'm waaay behind on our thread. Is everyone excited !? We were so sad to leave WDW, but cheered ourselves up by saying we'd be back for our cruise next month

I didn't go on the summer on the savannah ? I don't even think I know what it is ?

We did witness a family getting a great suprise in the AK for YOMD. We had just come off the Dinosaur ride and a family about 4 min after us, were greeted by some disney big-wigs. We had been lingering in the Dino gift shop waiting for friends. They approached this family with a video camera and announced they had won a trip to Spain ! The family didn't seem all that enthusiastic (I would have been bouncing up and down). At one point, the disney CM asks "are you excited ?". There was just such lack of emotion by this family. It was a group of maybe 7 or 8. Only the little girl---who appeared to be about 10---was jumping up and down. The rest just stood there with this weak little smile ? Anyway....it was cool to see someone win something that big.

Parks were crowded......FL was hot......we got up early and left to go back to our room around noon. Then didn't go back out until after 6 pm. I have several sets of relatives in FL, so it was fun visiting with them too.

That's cool! I want a trip to Spain, I was born there because my dad was in the Air Force and I haven't been back since I was 2. Any way to get in touch with this un-excited family and they can transfer the gift to me??

That's so not cool, how do you not get excited about something like that?! I'd be jumping up and down for a free weekend getaway to NYC and I WORK there during the week!

It is a DVC party they have outside the international gateway at Epcot.

When I was looking at pat navigators it seems as if it would be the LAP rotation. Does anyone know if this might be true? If so which day would be the character breakfast? I don't want to book a brunch at Palos the same day, this is of course if I can beat everyone else to get one. Only good thing is that DU finally linked all three cabins so only one of us will need to make the arrangements.

From what I have heard everyone who sends themselves the email will get 6:00 for 1st seating and 8:00 (I believe that is the time) for 2nd. It does not mean that is the actual time it is just the standard. It will say officially what rotation you have on your KTTW card. Hope that helps.

JD Blair...that is neat you were born in Spain. You probably would have appreciated this gift much more than this family did. I agree ibela---how does one not get excited ??? Maybe they were just in a state of shock ?

Zane ! I had forgotten about that ! Darn....I would have gone. Bummed now. We did tour the new AKV. VERY nice. They were nicer than the pics we had seen. Also, while staying at the WL, a bellhop told me that the Contemp Villas DVC was a "go". I still have some doubts, because some rumors on the DIS are that they will be suites you can book in addition to the Tower and Garden rooms. Time will tell.

As for the character breakfast...if it is the LAP rotation, looks like it would be Monday for you. I'm going by this site's info :

Also, are you aware that the DCL no longer does the traditional character breakfast ? They call it Mickey's Island Jam now. The characters do not come to your table. There was a fairly large thread about this which I participated in. I was not happy to hear this, though some were. Because of this new policy, we will not be attending. I wrote/emailed DCL to express my feelings and sent the copies of all the posts in the thread. I've yet to receive a response and it's been 6 weeks ? I lost track.

But I just wanted to bring this to your attention in case this was a deciding factor for booking Palo. Mickey's Island Jam the characters just stay in the front of the restaurant or dance around. The little kids have been reported as going up to the characters during the dancing. But older kids, teens, adults seem to be a bit left out. I personally am not happy about this change.

Oh wow....we don't start until Sept 4 here ! My kids would hate going to school during the summer.
Good luck with getting back into the swing of school. It's hard after a long break.
