Here's my new question: Who all are flying out on Sunday, the day after we get back from the cruise, instead of making a mad rush for the airport on Saturday??

I'm with JD ! We are staying at a disney resort the night before and the night after the cruise. We're flying back on Oct 7......wish it could be later than that even !

Are you going to visit one of the parks? We're staying at CI&S the night before the cruise. (But after reading a recent thread about problems with the shuttle, I'm worried now.) And then the night after the cruise, we're staying at the Hyatt in the airport. It's $$$ but traveling with our 3 year old is not easy and so I am trying to make things as easy on us as possible!

The water park sounds fun. I wonder if we'll all feel watered out by the time we get off the boat?

Plans for the day we get off the ship may be to see DS's biological grandmother. He hasn't seen her in a few years and she says she lives 50 miles west of Orlando. If she's willing to drive in and see us, we'll probably have a meal with her and visit If she doesn't come in then we'll probably just veg and repack. By staying another night before we fly home, I'm planning to just shove things in our suitcases and rearrange later at the hotel. No sense ruining our last night on the ship with packing! Ick!!!

I'd Be saying
The blarney I can weave with or without a couple of pints under my belt but alas when it comes to pen and pad (PP?? ), that not be me. A Henry Wasworth Longfellow or Willie Shakespear I not be but I will keep you awake at the dinner table..
Bottom line three days and four nights are really nothing to write home about besides I was with my DD, so even if there was something to write home about , I'd have to stay away from her because of DD. (Funny me just joking around)
That's why I stayed with Rags and her DH, it gave my DD nothing to write/call home about,
Besides I'm grumpy-gramps, 1 wife, 3 daughters, 1 of which has 5 children the outer two have not started yet, and a son that is a Marine pilot,,, I think, I presently have enough adventure in my life.. I do cruises to relax, I'm bring 7 cabins worth of protection on our September cruise..

I just booked our town car for to/from the port. Aside from paying our last payment for the cruise, booking Palo and saving more money for the trip - I'm done making arrangements. Now what am I going to do???

DH got mad at me when I started second guessing the night-before hotel I chose. He told me what's done is done, we go with what I've booked. I think he's a little tired of my "planning."

So, now that I don't have any further things to arrange, I guess I'll get focused on (it's never-ending in my home!!) and my work out and diet.

I kind of feel depressed!!

Anybody else receive a packet from Disney today? I got a packet with a booklet about all the excursions and when we can book them which is July 1st for Castaway Club members. We didn't get this packet last time so it may be something new. We did get new Castaway club cards last week too. Now I am getting really excited!!

I didn't. :-( But did you book directly through Disney? I booked through a TA? I'm also a first-timer so maybe it's something they just do for you repeat-cruiesers. I certainly hope to become a repeat-DCL-cruiser!

I did get the Rolling Stone with Johnny Depp and Keith Richards on the cover. It was folded so initially I just saw Johnny Depp! Talk about a welcoming HELLO at the mailbox!

That was a great idea!! Did you guys also see the thread about saving money? Someone said you can split Shutters packages between families, I didn't think about that one either but I think it sounds like a good idea since you save $$ and may not want *that* many pictures. So many good ideas on these boards.

The pictures sound nice crainbow, can't wait to go home and be able to log in and see them!
