Zane Anthony : For those that were interested I booked the Sunny Liston tour for a 10:00 pick-up. We will probably not do the beach part as we are not big beach people
Congrats on being decisive about how you want to spend your day. I wish I could make some sort of decision....
I keep hearing good things about the Sunny Liston tour. But we're the opposite and very big beach/snorkel people. I'm still torn with the excursions I listed back on page 32. I'm guessing noone has heard anything about any of the ones I listed because I got no replies either "yay" or "nay". I keep reading the trip reports threads trying to find some info. SL tour is a great price....gives you a real nice overview of St Thomas too. I'm torn with wanting to visit St John and Trunk Bay though......

Grumpy Gramps: You're awesome! Thanks. I can just save it and print it on an 8x11 printable magnet sheet right? Thanks again!

What's a sunny liston tour? Which island? We're planning to do a short tour (is this possible) and maybe chill on the beach even for a little while.

Being that we are not big beach people it was a pretty easy decision to make! I would have liked to see St.John as well but I figured I can't fit everything into one day so I will save it for the next trip. I knew ahead of time I wanted to see the island and do a little shopping so when I read about this I knew it was just what I wanted. Good Luck with making your decision!

It's a island tour that includes shopping and a beach stop if you prefer. Check out this website for more detailed information. www.sunnylistontours.com. I have only seen this tour mentioned here a few times however it is highly recommended on cruise critic.

All weekend I was going on and on about the cruise and my mil says "now I want to go!" and she and fil are considering it?! At first I thought, "oh no" but then I thought "hellooooo full-time babysitter".

Gramps- I'll have to pm you with my info again for another sign (pretty please) because I got my cabin number wrong! Dh printed it out, brought it home, and then I realized I was totally off.

Re: the thread on room availability and where there was midship - I was just wondering if you picked a guarantee because we were able to pick the exact cabin number (we wanted midship as well) when we called them to make our reservation.

And did you guys hear about 2 people falling overboard from a Princess cruise. WHAT is wrong with people?? They must have been seriously distracted to not realize they were falling in . . . :rolleyes1

:wave2: Hi All,
Did someone ask for a second door sign?
I'm doing signs for two different cruises and it can be a llittle topsie turvey at times. Getting alittle mixed up..

I just booked a private tour of St. Martin with No Rush Tours...Can any of you who have already been there suggest anything that is do not miss? I am looking for something that would be fun for a 6 year old. Thanks!

Happy Hump Day All...

Ok here i go...i'm freaking out:eek: because i was surfin the DIS and came upon a thread for flying out early(and all the bad stuff that happens if you don't)....i would love to do this but it is just not possible due to DH's work. We have a early non-stop flight arriving in Orlando at 9:38am...What do you all think? Should hubby loose his job and we can fly in a day early or should we chance it...i'm leaning towards telling DH to find other means of supporting us. We can just make pigs out of our selfs on the "Magic" and worry about the little stuff (like food, gas and a place to live) after the cruise...:confused3 So a little honesty and a bunch of lies will make me feel better:laughing:

Where are you flying in from? We're flying in the day before because we're flying from the west coast If you're arriving Orlando at 9:38 am, I don't think the ship sails until that afternoon. I think you'll be okay.

I didn't hear about the Princess thing. :scared1: Did they survive? I'm going to have to Google that after I finish this post. DS is deathly afraid of heights and I booked this cruise in spite of it, telling myself he'll be okay. But as we get closer, he's asking more questions about how big is the ship, will he be able to tell how high up we are, etc. Crap!!! I will have to shield him from any cruise horror stories. No DIS for him!!!

I was reading all those post. That is so sad, I was reading one from the lady who just turned around and went home and it brought tears to my eyes :sad1: I couldn't imagine. And now no one wants to give her her money back :scared1: I know at that same time my friends daughter was on the 8th graders trip to DC and she was supposed to be home Friday but they didn't get home until Tuesday because of all the bad weather and I was wondering then how many people missed their cruise. I should arrive in Orlando at noon on Friday but I am still worried! Maybe you and the kids should fly down the day before and then dh can come the day of...at least if something did come up the day of you and the kids would make the boat.

Yes, they both survived. I am like your son and until now I haven't even thought about the fact that we will be high above the water :scared1:..thanks :rotfl2: and I am also really afraid of deep water ( notice my excursions are all sightseeing ) so what I was thinking when I booked a cruise I have no idea :confused3 Thankfully 4 weeks from today I am leaving on a carnival cruise with a friend so hopefully that we be enough to somewhat prepare me for how it feels, seasickness, etc. I don't want anything to ruin my disney cruise.

Jajoma,
The last line of your quote cracked me up :rotfl: The things we'll all do for a disney cruise ! ;)

I'd bet, you're about 95% safe. I think the situations like the one mentioned here about the woman who is out money and her disney cruise is very sad and very unusual. I was on these boards several years ago during the hurricanes of Jeanne, Ivan, Franicis.......
Disney seemed to take very good care of their guests. I am very suprised that they are dropping this poor lady like a hot potato. I think if the airline experiences technical/mechanical problems, like her flight did, then this should be covered by insurance. What the heck does insurance really cover anyway ?
You are most likely safe flying in the morning of the cruise. It's just those nagging possibilities of what could/might happen. Mechanical problems...bad weather (it will be hurricane season)......but just the fact that we all are cruising during this "iffy" season, means we're all taking a big of a chance even if we do fly out the day before.
We're all rollin' the dice and keeping our fingers crossed.....let's hope "lady luck" is on our side ;) :)

I also was worried about flying in same day. I am now debating about flying in the day before. I have flew in the same day in the past and never had a problem. But I am a little worried this time. I am planning to book a flight on Friday instead. :confused3

:sad1: Unfortunatly, My dearest BF is not going to be able to come with us this time. He decided that getting custody of his kids is more important. Man, what was he thinking?:confused3 Now I'll just have to rebook on board for another year.

JDBlair - apparently they were in the heat of passion as the guy was found naked?? They both survived but will no doubt experience very many jokes at their expense by family and friends (well deserved may I add)!

Jajamo - I second Tonya's response (which I didn't think of on my own but I think is great) about flying in the night before with the kids and then dh flying out day of to save on stress as much as possible. Since your flight is scheduled to arrive so early in the am, even in the chance that there are some delays, you still have about 5 hours to play with since the boat doesn't leave until 4pm I think. If you are planning to use the DCL Transfers at the airport, I think the last bus leaves @ ~12:30 so you can always rent a car at the airport and drive yourself over if you need to. I think you should probably be OK either way, I mean if we really thought there would be severe weather issues we wouldn't be sailing on this date. The flight we were going to take was scheduled to bring us in 9:30 day of (from Newark) but I decided to fly in the night before because I don't want to have to get up @ 4am to make the flight.

Jajomo, DH and I always fly in the day of the cruise. Our flight will be leaving Cleveland about the time you will be arriving in Orlando. We did have a problem due to hurricane Jeanne one year. We left Cleveland over two hours late and didn't arrive at port until three o'clock. Another time there was a problem on the plane when we were just about ready to take off and we were told to quickly evacuate.:scared1: False alarm thankfully. So things do happen but more than likely you will be fine. We were tossing around coming in the day before this time but I just talked to DD, Shannon, and it looks like we will probably stick to our original plan of flying in on Sat. It is so simple for us to do it that way. Hopefully it will all work fine.pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hope I didn't worry you too much!:sunny: Maybe I should have just totally lied?:confused3

Ibela, the last bus leaves port at two o'clock. We still are not sure if we will keep our flights booked through DCL or book the same flight on our own. Depends on how much we will save if we think it is worth chancing it or not. DCL will hold the ship for a reasonable amount of time if you book through them.
