mcraft....speaking of photobucket. Have you ordered prints from them ? Price/quality good ? My usual online photo storage site is shutting down in a couple months and I'll miss them. Loved their quality (Sony Imagestation). I had to move all my photos soon. They will move them for me at no charge to Shutterfly. I'm tempted to let them do this as I have literally hundreds of photos on their site. But I was wondering about Photobucket and customer service etc ? Thanks to you or anyone else who could give me your opinion.

No, I have not used photobucket. I have ordered from snapfish which you can often find alot of coupons. I have also ordered from shutterfly and they are good too. I use whatever company I can find coupons/ or discounts I use. Hope that helps.

Hello, everyone! It was so nice meeting so many of you last week. Maddie and Lydia had tons of fun with Addie and Alex, Sarah, Zane, Griffin (and I'm sure I'm leaving out lots of other kids!) We fell in love with Disney cruising, but didn't re-book on board. (We'll probably kick ourselves for this later!) If you saw two sobbing little girls on Saturday morning, they belonged to me. They both cried and cried about leaving the ship. For the last 3 days they have been chanting "faith, trust and a little pixie dust" thinking it will somehow magically transport us onto another cruise. I hope it works!!

I go back to work tomorrow, so I guess reality is about to set back in. Uugh, I liked the Disney version better! :-)

Let's stay in touch. I'll upload some pictures soon!

Hi everyone! Wow, what a great cruise and what an awesome group of DISer's! We made it home Sat. evening and I have been unbelievably exhausted. I really loved the rocking of the ship while onboard but I wish it would stop now that I am back on land. It is making me so lightheaded that I can't think straight (not that I think straight to begin with:laughing: ) and I don't even feel that I can drive safely.

Will post more later. Maybe I will even tell you about my extreme blonde moment onboard.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Donna

Donna,
Has the rocking stopped for you yet? I have been seriously dizzy all day today - to the point that I've wondered if my inner ears aren't somehow out of balance. For you nurses out there, any "cures" to this rocking motion/dizzy feeling?? I tried taking a Dayquil thinking that might dry my ears out, but no luck!

Any updates on the medical emergencies? I did not know about the heart attack. I did hear several different versions of the jetski accident. All involved the jet skier losing control by the rocks near the ship and falling off on the rocks. In one scenario, the woman driving the jet ski was seriously injured. In the other scenario, there was a child/youth riding behind her and it was the young person who was injured. I didn't witness any of it - just heard lots of discussion by those around me! Hopefully, all involved are ok!

Hope everyone had a great trip home!

I would like to announce that I was the biggest idiot on the ship. With all of the last-minute crisis going on, I left a small pile of stuff at home. This was the pile of things I wanted handy, including...you know it...the times and locations of the DIS meets (and DD's nightlight and a few other essentials that made me bang my head against the wall when I realized how big of an idiot I really was). I wandered aimlessly on Saturday, as I remembered the time but not the place, and I likely looked pretty silly at the time. I now know I was nowhere near the right place, so at least I feel better about the fact that I didn't walk by you all! After that, my memory did me no good for a time or location for the second meet. It wasn't until later in the cruise (after the dramamine wore off, I'm sure - wow, what an introduction to a first cruise!) that it occurred to me that I might have knocked on one of the doors with the green mickey heads and asked about the second meet. Then I would only have had to admit to being an idiot to one person. :rolleyes1

We had a pretty good trip, and went ahead and booked our next cruise after many people assured us that the boat doesn't usually move that much.

I hope everyone else had a great cruise!

Hello to everyone. Did anyone sign up for the Sept. 27th Western Cruise? I think we'll be the first guests the sail with our ship getting out of dry dock.

We did, but we may change to the November cruise.

Beware...when you are the first cruise out of dry dock, you may be in for some surprises. We were the 1st cruise out after the last dry dock and they were not finished the gym and it was closed the whole time. Not a problem for some folks, but we were disappointed.

I use www.dotphoto.com. Been using them for years. they are the cheapest I have ever found. if you buy in bulk it as low as 9cents per pic

I have uploaded some (over 200) of the pictures that I took during the cruise. They can be located at:

I too do not have my equilebrium back yet, either.

Great pics!!! I spied DH in one of your pics at the Mickey Pool. You guys were about 4 doors down from us!! Was Sara your stateroom hostess?? She was so awesome, we loved her!!!

DH has been going through my photos and says I have 1300! He's developing a web site so I can refer family and friends there to view them. I don't think he's done, yet, but when he is, I'll post. I wish the pictures I took at the shows came out better.

Trent-how did you get your show photos to come out so well??

The first time we saw your DH I said to Tracy, "There's that big scary guy!"

Sara was our stateroom host and she really was great. She was the best that we've ever had and her english was excellent.

My camera has an indoor setting, which I used at the shows without the flash. Unfortunately, it turns off the image stabilization feature so most of them were blurry from the motion of the ship. We were also on row 5-7 for the shows, so that may have helped.

We missed the first two shows thinking the kids would not sit through them. Now I wished we wouldn't have because they really enjoyed the ones we saw.

I was off today due to the Federal holiday so it's back to work for me tomorrow.

Yes, the rocking has stopped. It can go on for days though. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thanks so much for the info on the photo storage sites mcraft, Trent and Jim. Jim, I checked out dotphoto and it looks good. I'm trying to find the link that describes the different membership plans. Trent...your pics are fantastic. I can't tell you how many times I passed your door on the ship as well as Jackie's. I never saw you guys though ! I'm sure we were all just out having fun.

Anyone hear drom GG ? I hope he and his family had a great cruise.

As for equilibrium......I'm still rocking a little. It's just annoying. There's not much we can do about it. Taking sea sickness medicine like Bonine can help. It's your inner ear sending signals to your brain. Your body gets used to being on the ship and rocking so we need to get our land legs back. I've had to after other cruises as well and usually it's gone by a week's end.

still working on uploading my photos......this cold has been keeping me down a bit.............

I'm all caught up, on the DIS not work just yet - hey it's all about priorities!

We discussed rebooking too but think we're going to use our DVC points so I need to take care of that today before it's too late (3 days, I hope Saturday didn't count . . . .). We're planning for April '09.

I'm sorry I missed meeting so many of you. Jgill - I passed your door sign a few times too, we were in 7072.

Good morning DIS'ers... Sorry I wasn't at a ny of out get-togethers... I'm sorry I was right about the rough seas on Saturday out of PC... I'm in the process of developing a trip report. We had an awesome time and absolutely loved the journey. We're thinking of something for next year once again, maybe a Western.

In short...
DGF got VERY sick on Saturday night with the rough seas. I was fine.
Our tablemates were awesome for the 8:30 seating.
St. Maarten (NA) is one scary place... Maybe the French side is better...
St. Thomas was great, we loved it! St. John is where I plan on retiring to...
3 days at seas were nice... Wish the weather was better...
CC is worth every word written about it!!
I've heard many different things about the emergency... I'd love some more information.

Again, sorry for not getting together... I was a few dorrs down from a DIS'er but never ran into anyone... I was in 6128...

Don't do a membership for dotphoto.com just order bulk prints. what that means is you can order 500 prints for $55.00 (brings the price down to .11 cents each sorry I was 2 cents off). but I know they run specials too.

then you will have a 500 prints in your account. You can use them whenever you want. So...upload everything to dotphoto.com then when the time is right (wait for free shipping as it does come around every few months or so) order as many or as little as you want. if you order 250 pics, you will have 250 left in your account for next time. they also have other bulk print packages, but if it is 4x6 that you want, that is the best deal. I have been ording from them for about 4 years now. Print quality is awsome. never a complaint. And as I mentioned, if you wait they will send emails about free shipping and such.

I'm so sick. I have been so nauseous since we got back. I think I'm a little better today though. DH had to fly to Boston yesterday and won't be home until thurs.

Maria: I had my photos stored in yahoo but they closed, so I transferred our photos over to shutterfly 'coz they're giving us a photobook for free! I plan to use it for our cruise pictures.

Hi to everyone!

Me too!! I chose to move over to shutterfly b/c of the free photo book offer -Fallon's first vacation!

I've also used snapfish and they're good quality, including products such as calendars, mugs, and mousepads (cheap and easy holiday gifts). Sign up for their list, I get offers all the time for discounted prices (ex 20% off photo books) and free shipping - depends on the month.
