Ok.. that confirms it.. I think I'm in depression maybe that's why I've been so sick... hahaha

Maria: I was looking at our pics and I have a beautiful pic of you and your family at castaway cay. I will email it to you as soon as my DH downloads it.

I was looking at my pic at serenity bay..... omigosh.. the water was unbelievably beautiful.. i really wish i was back there :sad1: we were thinking of going to hawaii for next year's vacation.. but hawaii is just so eh compared to the caribbean and the bahamas.

I wish i could convince my DH to get a room without a verandah... maybe we can settle for a mexican riviera cruise when disney comes around next year... no castaway cay.. that'll be a big bummer though.

I agree about post cruise depression! It seems like you wait forever for the cruise to get here than wham it is over. I keep thinking last week at this time I was....

Ragdoll that was an awsome deal I am so excited for you! :cool1: If we had the money, time, etc. we would definitly be there too!

I loved looking at everyones pictures! I even say myself in a couple. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Jim: I saw the beautiful pics that you took... one little girl seems familiar and she might have been a playmate of my DD's at the club.. is one of your friends' daughter named morgan? if so, please tell her that sarah says hi!

Well, I just did the most impulsive thing that I have ever done. Practical me could not resist booking the 12/8/07 Eastern at the great price of $599 for a gty cat.12. So DH and I are getting to do it again! We have always wanted to go during the holidays to see the decorations and experience the atmosphere and the deal was too good to pass up. Even got great airfare.:thumbsup2 I still can't believe I did this but am so glad I did!:cheer2:

Donna

 :yay: :woohoo: :cool1: :cheer2:

That's awesome Donna! A beautiful caribbean cruise and you will get to escape some chilly Cleveland weather! How wonderful! Enjoy!!

We have a 4 night planned on The Wonder for next Spring.
Maria is right-the only way to cure the depression is to book another cruise!

Morgan is my wifes adopted sister. So we will say hi for you. Do you have a pic I can give to her. I can email you the pic with Morgan for Sarah to keep.

Hi Jim. I have a picture of Sarah and Morgan at Scuttle's Cove that I took when I picked up Sarah. Everytime I pick up Sarah at the club, they're always together :) Funny 'coz I couldn't find Sarah's water shoes at scuttles cove and Morgan was trying to help us find them. Well, we found them in one of the bins at the terminal (lost and found) upon disembarking and they were covered in sand! So we just decided to leave them.

Did anyone else get an extra pillowcase from the kids club during their pj party? I asked for an extra one and took it to guest services. The pillowcase had a disney cruise line logo and name on it so it turned out to be a really cool souvenir. :thumbsup2

Great pictures Pauline. If you have any of the pics with Zane and Sarah can you email them to me at zane_anthony@yahoo.com. I don't know why I never got any of them together.

Ok...I have been waiting to post this to see if anyone else felt the same way I did but no one has mentioned it so here goes. :confused3 I really enjoyed the cruise and Zane absolutely loved it however we spent the night after at Animal Kingdom Lodge and I was soo sad that I had spent 7 nights on the cruise instead of there. So in short I really enjoyed the cruise and I wouldn't mind doing one again one day but my heart still lies at Disney World. That being said though I had a great time talking with everyone and if I ever cruise again I want to take some of you with me. :thumbsup2

awesome Pauline....so nice of you ! I didn't even realize you were taking our pic. I'm guessing it was while we were being photographed with the Flying Dutchman in the background ?

Your photos are just gorgeous Pauline.

And Tonya....I can understand what you mean. I know alot of people feel that way. There's nothing like DL/WDW. We kind of like to do both. The cruise is nice for really relaxing. We don't seem to relax as much in WDW. We stayed at POFQ right after the cruise, but didn't visit the parks. Just shopped, played mini golf, and had a nice dinner at Cape May Cafe. The AKL is beautiful. Did u stay in the Villas ? How was the construction going there may I ask ? We toured the Villas when we were in WDW in the summer and just love them. Also, Boma is on our list for our top 3 favorite restaurants in WDW.

I hope you guys don't mind (please tell me if you do) but here are some pics of our cutiepies :cutie:

Hi Tonya! :wave2: We love cruising, it is the only way to make ourselves relax because we are typically a family "on the go" all of the time. We stayed just 1 night at The Wilderness Lodge after the cruise and I was sad that we weren't able to spend any more time there. The kids were pooped by the time we checked in (room wasn't ready until 3) and we had already purchased tickets to go over to MK so we went. Mistake! We were all wiped out and the park was incredibly crowded. I haven't seen it that busy in a very long time. I thought October was suppose to be slow season. :confused3 Obviously we weren't in the mood for the hustle and bustle and waiting on lines so we went back to WL. I wish we would have done what Maria did, and just hang out. We went to Chef Mickey's Sunday morning and then shopped at Downtown Disney for awhile before heading for home. I LOVE Walt Disney World, always will, but I think they are really two seperate vacations. WDW is fun and busy and so much to do and DCL is relaxing, restful and laid back. I think a 3 or 4 night land/3 or 4 night sea is a great way to do it all. Next time we will put the theme parks at the beginning of the trip rather than at the end.
P.S. May I say again that your little guy is so handsome. I know he had a great time on The Doubloon. I think all the kids really enjoyed that. pirate:

Pauline - LOVE the pics! :thumbsup2

It's just a matter of personal preference. I always say that I love WDW but I LOVE the cruise! It is just so relaxing and I love the ocean!

The first time we saw your DH I said to Tracy, "There's that big scary guy!"

Sara was our stateroom host and she really was great. She was the best that we've ever had and her english was excellent.

My camera has an indoor setting, which I used at the shows without the flash. Unfortunately, it turns off the image stabilization feature so most of them were blurry from the motion of the ship. We were also on row 5-7 for the shows, so that may have helped.

Trent-

When Grammy saw DH on Deck 10, as we were sailing away, she screamed out, "Big, scary guy!!" :lmao:

We loved Sara. After a few days, DD would leave our room and scream in the hallway, "Sara, Sara, where are you?" And we didn't even get a single picture of her. I could kick myself!

I have an indoor setting w/ no flash on my camera and some of my pics came out okay and some are BLURRY!!! I haven't uploaded to photobucket yet to post.

Just checking in for the 1st time. My DH and I also came down with the snuffles/sore throat. I find that amazing because of all the hand washing that was going on.

Jac - I was so happy to see you at the Palo brunch! :goodvibes I didn't want to walk over and disturb you because it's suppose to be romantic and all in there I guess but I know you wanted that very badly, glad you got in. Did you like it?
:

Where were you in Palo's? I wouldn't have minded you stopping by to say hello!!! We were having a great time. We had dinner there Wednesday night and then brunch Thursday. I thought we'd be too stuffed from dinner but nope, had no problem eating tons of food at brunch. I was stoked to get Palo brunch and so glad we did.

I came home sick, as well. I have had an awful sore throat and cold. I've stayed awake long enough to go to work and back but have been going to bed around 7 pm every night. I've just been drained. DH said it would happen when we were on the ship and I was getting about 5 hours of sleep at night.

I have loved seeing everyone's pictures!! Pauline - that dress you are wearing in the picture of the 3 of you is gorgeous!!

Someome in the main forum posted a request a few weeks before our cruise and asked if anyone was sailing soon, could they relay a message to a manager in guest services. I agreed to do it as long as I didn't get thrown off the ship. So, when I dropped off our photo mats, I requested the person the message was for and relayed it to him. Well, it was just a cute, inside joke message between two really good friends and the guy was very thankful and said my message really made his whole day. Later in the week, we received a certificate from him labeled "Magical Moments" and a pin with Tinker Bell that said, "Where Dreams Come True."

But I have to say, the entire cruise was a Magical Moment.

It was Columbus weekend Liz ! We went that weekend last year and it was also a ZOO ! The MK on Saturdays is the worst because #1) locals tend to hit it on that day #2)the holiday weekend #3)usually Sat's are EMH's. Last year we went to WDW Oct 4-8. The weekdays were fine, but that weekend was dreadful.
If you noticed, car rentals and airfare was higher for that weekend. Before we got on the ship we spent 2 1/2 days in WDW. Our Budget car rental price was less than the ONE day we rented getting off the ship. Also, we flew into Orlando for our cruise but chose flying out of Tampa because we saved $60-$70 per ticket for each of us one-way to Philly.
Big difference between the two weekends before and after the cruise.

Jackie ~
I also went to Guest Services on the ship as a favor for someone on the boards. A CM from England and the inside joke was directions to the Yorkshire Pudding House ? Was this the same guy ? Too funny..........

Hi everyone! We got home VERY late last night. We had a great cruise and Sarah didn't want to get off the ship! We had so much fun meeting everyone and Sarah had so much fun playing with the kids.
Pauline :hippie:

So nice to meet you on the shuttle to the Thrifty Rental office!
Great Cruise--no matter how you slice it.

We spent two nights at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, flew home Oct 8 and hit the ground running with work and other obligations. I got laundry done Monday night, but other aspects of unpacking have taken several days and today is the first day I could read the posts on the DIS. It will take me a WHILE to catch up!

Hi everyone! Wow, what a great cruise and what an awesome group of DISer's! We made it home Sat. evening and I have been unbelievably exhausted. I really loved the rocking of the ship while onboard but I wish it would stop now that I am back on land. It is making me so lightheaded that I can't think straight (not that I think straight to begin with:laughing: ) and I don't even feel that I can drive safely.

Will post more later. Maybe I will even tell you about my extreme blonde moment onboard.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Donna

I have not noticed ship movements this time although I did after disembarking from the other cruises so that seems odd.

PLEASE tell us about the "extreme blonde moment" !!!

Great to meet you and know we will see you in May. We met a couple and had another couple at our dinner table who will also be on the PC cruise but don't "do" the DIS. We met Pahumphgirl on a snorkeling excursion so will have some familiar faces in a couple months!
