September 29, 2007 - Magic

Thank you all for the welcome!!! I know what you mean about trying to get in shape. A few years ago I lost 75lbs with Weight Watchers but have let a few (HA HA like 25lbs) back :sad2: but since Jan. 1st I have been diligently trying to stay on course. 8lbs down with more to go!! Now if only I could work as hard on actually exercising, seems I do it one day then forget for a week.

Here's to all of us reaching our goal only so we can indulge on the cruise!

That's awesome, you lost 8 lbs!!! Good job!!! :woohoo: I've lost 5, I think. I'm averaging 4-6 nights a week with working out. I can feel a change in my body, now it's time to SEE a change! But I am motivated. I just think of being on that boat and the pictures we'll come home with and I refuse to ooh and ahh over my kids pics and cry that I'm in them! Thinking about this while I work out pushes me through!!

:wave2: Hi all,
I'm back...
MERRY CHRISTMAS.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS..
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all as the last time I posted was Thanksgiving.
We've been very busy, big debate on joining the Disney Vacation Club has really taken us (me) away from the Boards. I've been out there every now and then (lurking) but we have mostly been on the DVC side assking all sorts of questions but were back now.

:welcome: :welcome: to all the new folks that have joined the group since Thanksgiving, the more the merrier.. or something like that.

If anyone wants the ship and the island that's below just go to photobucket and it is in my album, (DCL) is the name of the album; take it and enjoy..

Hey Grumpy Gramps, I'm new to the thread AND DVC. We're using our points for the first time for this cruise. We did some number crunching and came up with this: if I look around for a good deal (aside from wasting a bunch of time) it'll cost the same as maintenance of points but for paying the up front cost you're constantly getting an upgraded experience (and again, don't waste any time) and after about 10 times or so it pays off so since we plan to go regularly, we figured we'd buy in. I hope you guys decide on what's right for you!

Btw, I have about 20 lbs I want to lose too (leftover baby weight) but think I can lose before the cruise and gain back on the cruise? :rolleyes1

:welcome: Ibela, :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:
Don't forget to post your info so JayS can add your crew to the list. The more the merrier.. We did join DVC at SSR, i would have perferred OKW but it's for our grandchildren. So 2054 gives them a chance to take their children to WDW, so we went wit SSR. Got the deal...

Ok grumpy-gramps I was able to get the cruise ship and the island but how do I put the countdown on? Thank you!!

:surfweb: Hi All, Whomever?
It must be snowing somewhere as it's lonely on the thread's tonight..

good night all.

I'm getting so use to my diet and exercise that when I go a little overboard, I immediately want to work out. So, if you see me running laps around the boat, you'll know I ate too much! :scared1:

Just paid my deposit on our cruise to Dreams Unlimited. Couldn't pass up on their amazing group pricing.

We (Me, DW, DD7, DS5) will be in room 2614 nice and close to the elevators. I was going through pictures of our last Magic cruise (October '03) and got to the pictures of me building sand creations on the beach in Grand Cayman. My DD7 said, "Daddy, who is that?" I told her it was me. She replied without a beat, "You were much skinnier then." Hmmm....guess I have some work to do in the next few months.

Welcome phred! DH and I and our DGD's are in 2116 and 2118 so we should be running into each other in the elevator lobby.

Oh, the things kids say! LOL at your DD!

I just noticed that the 9/29/07 date has been pulled from DU's special pricing page. I was just going to check it to see what category would be needed for a family of 5 so we could twist our friend's arms to come with us. Hopefully rooms are tied up in reservations in which deposits are not made and it opens up again.

We will not be on the cruise, we transferred our reservations to a date in 08. Hope you all have a great cruise, we will be at WDW instead, staying in the campground.
Kim

:thumbsup2 let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, from the folks (me & Barb)
who are retireing to New Hampshire in 3 years...... I figure I'll be old enough to stay home and watch the snow plow guy come and do my driveway.. and the best part of that will be 1 cruise and at least 2 trips to WDW each year.
have a good weekend.
for everyone:
Will start working on green Mickey door sign's over Presidents day weekend...
Good luck to all you Super Bowl'ers.

We're in Room 2606. We are going to be close!!

Hi All:hippie:

We've made some decisions regarding our cruise and we are absolutely going to drive down to FL b4 the cruise. Its only about 12 hrs from here and we often do long drives to see family(mine) anyway, so what's a few more hours compared to going through airport security, and having your luggage looked through and who knows what on the flight(even though i love flying).

So driving it is and I went ahead booked a room for us at the new Country Suites with their Park&Cruise Special. The rate was pretty much in line with other hotels that do it but what sold me was finding out all the taxes upfront and NO credit card charge. I was able to use the card just to hold the room. FANTASTIC:woohoo: I just have to get all paid up about a week ahead of check-in.

And its all thanx to the cruise forum. Better than any search engine I say.

Hope y'all are having a great day
