We are sending them to a place that is listed as a "Country Club" for pets and we have boarded them there before but man oh man am I going to miss them.

Anyway, Whoooooo Hooooooo!!!! We are almost there. :dance3: :dance3:  :cool1:

We echo the pixie dust for your DD: pixiedust:

fallon: Thank you! But, had you seen me at the finish line, you might change your tune! lol I'm already planning next year's race, btw. . .

Seven days and counting. . .

SleepyDog - AWESOME!!! You are also my hero!

We became addicted to Airborne when we cruised - prior to and during. There's a lot of sickies on the ship so it's a good idea to beef up on anti-sicky stuff. We truly began to love airborne and still take it to this day whenever we feel we're getting sickies around the house. I hope she feels better quick!

DD is back in school today! :cool1:

She's tired and her throat still hurts a bit, but her cough is all but gone and her eye has cleared up.

Never had a fever.

3 days until we leave.

I work at a hospital, and everyone around me is getting sick...I WILL NOT ALLOW myself to get sick!!! I may have to try this Airborne stuff... I hear my co-worker coughing away...

Tomorrow marks the "one week left!", and I do not feel ready. I still need to swing by the airport, because I've been told they don't open until 5:30 a.m. and my flight leaves at 6:15. That's not enough time for their "arrive 2 hours before your flight...", so I'm nervous about what time I should arrive. Until I hear it from someone who knows, I'm going to be worried about it!

I also joined this thread late, so I didn't get in on the "ordering of the bracelets". I'm going to see if I can find something lime-y to wear so you'll know who I am. Or you could just look down (I never quite made the 5' mark)!

To those of you leaving soon to do the parks first, have a great trip down - and ride an extra coaster for me! The rest of us late arrivals will just make up stuff about you behind your backs while you're out having fun...

Diane my darling.

I have more than enough bracelets left for "all" our group. No way would I let any one of us go unbanded and un-lime greened. :bounce:
If you want me to send yours now (before I leave), just message me your address and I will send them out to you. Let me know how many and what size. Adult or child. We can take care of the small amount they cost me on the ship or you can PayPal me the $$'s. I ordered (had to order) 20 of each so there is pleanty. I definitely have enough for Sleepydog, Doc, Beth and you. I can also just give you yours when we meet on the ship. :thumbsup2

Now, about that "talking after we leave" thingy. :rotfl:

FatherForce, I am sooooo glad DD is better. Please give her a huge hug from me.

I know some are traveling sooner than others, doing Disney before, so, just wanted to say safe travels to all... and see you at the Mickey Pool at 2 pm...I can't wait!

Here's a few of my favorite things we did while on board:

1) I loved the pineapple every morning. Be sure to go to the back of the buffet area, not just in the line, but way back to get the most amazing fresh fruit yogurt and other goodies that don't harden the arteries. It was wonderful - and I am a huge fan of artery hardening breakfasts, but the fruit just started the day right prior to the binging later.

2) Lunch in Triton's (Lumiere's for us) is a very relaxing event - gets you away from the caos and is very good food.

3) Ask for a tour of the spa - it's fun and you also may get to be a tester on the first day. They have daily discounts also. For $15 for one day we were able to use the Rainforest room all day long (this is standard not a daily discount). That was very nice. And we also got to use the locker rooms which are also nice.

4) We loved hanging out in the Oceaneer's Club with our son. It was fun - adults can go down the slide in the club! :thumbsup2

5) The drinks of the day are very good and very affordable.

6) Be sure to pick up at least one limited edition pin being sold on board.

7) There's a sale rack in Teasure Ketch! My son is wearing a great fleece jacket we got for $14! I totally should have stocked up on that stuff more than I did!

8) Be sure to grab a photographer to get some pictures of you and your family while on Castaway Cay.

9) Go to the far end of the Family Beach! We came out to the beach area at about Cookies and it was just right. Be sure to get off the ship rightaway and run for it if you want a hammock. We had a huge joke about this with our DIS crew!

10) Palo was just as everyone says - amazing! I loved our dinner there. I was less enamored with the brunch due the seafood being pre-frozen. You will be able to get ressies once you board. If you don't have time to go - just go up and check out the space - It's very beautiful.

11) We took part in the family crafts and that was actually a lot of fun - it provided wonderful keepsakes for us.

12) Don't stress about where you sit in the Theater - the seats are all good but be sure to get there early for the shows to ensure you get a seat.

13) The graduation ceremony from the clubs is NOT TO BE MISSED! Total tear jerker and you get free things from Disney! OMG!!!! I hope they have this for the three night for you guys to experience.

14) Be sure to check out a sunset one night - and if you can grab a photographer and pull them out on deck with you to capture the beauty that is a caribbean sunset.

15) We purchased the packages for photographs - you will be refunded any you don't purchase out of the package. It turned out to be a good deal for us.

16) Lifestyle photos are our favorites and we proudly display them as our family portraits in our living room now. (These are the ones with the white sheet background and white on the floor). They come out spectacular.

17) Our first three days flew by - so much so it's difficult to remember what we did - be sure to stop and slow down and just relax. If my cruise flew by, the three night is going to be light speed unless you just relax and totally live each moment.

My husband and I were watching our video the other night and we both felt there was no way we would have felt good being on the Wonder without our children. We hd such an amazing time with them - their joy was the absolute highlight of our vacation!

HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME EVERYONE!

Castlegazer - Thanks for all the great tips! I am worried that we are not going to have enough time to do everything, my guess is we will end up rebooking on board for 2008 if possible!

Father Force and everyone else leaving early - have a great trip! We don't leave her until Tuesday after work so we might be one of the last ones to go. We willbe looking for everyone Thursday morning and we will be at the Mickey Pool at 2!

Doc and I echo momsully's "have a great trip!" sentiment, FF. Be safe and have a good time. We will see you in less than a week. For those who can make it and may be about to leave early like FF, see you at the Mickey Pool in about 164 hours! ;)

FatherForce..

Just wanted to say "Bye Bye" and wish you a wonderful trip. I'll see you at the Mickey Pool. :cool1:

Castlegazer...Thanks for the terrific advice. I wish you were still going but understand why you are not. You will be missed though. :lovestruc

It's the last day of work for me and boy am I glad. Lots to do before we leave Sunday morning but I am soooooo looking forward to getting things done so we can fly. :yay:

25 and 1/2 hours till we leave.

DW is home from work finishing preparations.

I'll be at work all day and night. Probaly not home until 1am or so ( I run a youth center and we have shows on Friday and Saturday nights and I have admin stuff and meetings during the day)

I am anticipating this to be the longest day of my life. See everyone on Thursday!

:grouphug: :dance3: :dancer: :dancer: party: party: :drinking1 :rockband: :rockband:

Okay, now we're looking at 124 hours til the meet. Anyone even remotely excited yet? ;) Doc has been working her fingers to the nubs this past couple of weeks in order to feel up to speed before leaving. The 'rents are all prepped to take over the care of Princess in our absence. I even went shopping to pick up a few things that Doc said I needed for the trip. . .yep, clothes. So I hadn't updated anything in a couple of years. It was okay for me. Doc? Not so much. But. I do have good taste. . .just ask her. . .when you see her. . .which is in 123.9 hours. . .btw. . .pirate: :sail:

Watch out Mr. Mouse. Here we come! :woohoo: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :wave2: ;)

102 hours. . .and more jokes (answers below). . .

1) What do you call a pirate who paints?
2) What do little pirate kids say on a long trip?
3) What did Noah's twin pirate brother build?
4) What is the cost of some expensive pirate cars?
5) What is the first thing a pirate says to a fellow pirate who falls down?

1) An arrrrrghtist
2) Arrrrrrghhh we there yet?
3) An arrrrrghk
4) An arrrrrghm and a leg
5) Get up you slimey offspring of a octopus! ;) Or if he's really polite, he says, "Arrrrrgh you okay?"

101.8 hours. . .

Sleepydog25 - When do you leave? We leave Tuesday night so I am bumping us back to page one in case we have any folks joining us at the last minute.

I still have not started packing! I just keep putting it off!

74.5 hours. . .and counting. . .

Doc has packed. Mostly. Out of necessity since she is on call today and tonight. . .bad call. . .as in if anyone in this town gets sick, chances are she'll know about it. . . Me? Not so much. Packed that is. I have clothes out, READY to pack. Then again, I have time.

We leave Wednesday morning after dropping Princess at school, where she will be picked up later by DDD or D3, aka, Doc's dentist (retired) dad. . .to be later joined by DDM or D2M, aka, Doc's doc (school psychologist, not retired) mom. They will care for Princess in our absence. . .they are true jewels. We drive to PC and will stay at the nearby Hilton. Plan to eat at Grill's Tiki Bar that night. . .and walk the beach if we get a chance. Where you guys staying seeing as you are leaving a day earlier?

74.3 hours and counting. . .
