September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

We booked another Disney cruise while onboard the Magic a few weeks ago, hard to beleave it's been two weeks already!
We are doing a 4 night on the Disney Dream for Xmas 2013 leaving on Dec. 22, never been to WDW during the holidays. I figured being on a cruise ship at that time would be the better than dealing with the crowds in the parks and what better way to spend Xmas eve laying on the beach of Castaway Cay!:woohoo:

Now we just have too make it through the next 589 days :hourglass :rolleyes1

Anyone interrested in going?

First - you already sailed without all of us on the Magic. Then you rub it in by telling us you already booked another on the Dream for Christmas 2013??? :goodvibes

SO JEALOUS!!! I think the cruise would definitely be better crowd-wise than the parks on Christmas. What a great way to spend the holiday. We haven't been on the cruise AT Christmas, but our 2 cruises were while it was decorated (beautifully). I am excited to see it NOT decorated for this trip!

Wish we could join you in 2013, but we will be saving our pennies after this trip as we are planning a trip in 2014 to Disneyland and Aulani!!! :cool1:

We are also saving our pennies for a trip to Aulani too. We would love to sail on the Dream for Christmas but I am afraid I wouldn't be able to drag my husband off the ship after 4 days:rotfl:

Hi everyone, I just thought I would let you know about a couple of travel sales I was just able to take advantage of.

Southwest Airlines is having a sale through Monday. We fly out of Albuquerque and for our flight we ended up saving about $250 for two people round trip compared to their prices on Tuesday.

Hyatt Regency at the airport can be booked through www.lastminutetravel.com for $91 plus taxes and fees ($103) total. Its listed as the four star hotel 1 mile from the airport about three fourths of the way down that page.

I was way too excited about the cost savings so I thought I would share.

Hey gang! Jen (Nenner1) and I did a little cruise planning today and booked our St Maarten excursion. It is a sailing/snorkeling/beach excursion with Random Wind. We are super excited about this one! Trip Advisor has this ranked #1. It includes a freshly prepared lunch, open bar and a tarzan swing! Anyone care to join us?:confused3 Check out their website www.Randomwind.com. It would be great if we could make this an all Dis excursion! It holds about 20 people and the owner told me they have plenty of availability at this time.

Thanks so much for sharing. We have already booked with Bernard's tours for st Maarten. Trying to do excursions on a budget and at $40 per person, we hope we get a good deal for the money with him.

In st. Thomas, we are thinking the Disney excursion on the "Legendary Kon Tiki". Have read good things about it recently, now that you pay for alcohol! It's more family friendly versus being a college age booze cruise!

My wife and our 3 kids have been booked on this Cruise and are anxiously waiting!

Do we have any runners on this site that are doing the 5k on Castaway Cay?

Tony

Well-- I just downloaded the "from couch potato to 5 K" plan, but don't think I'll be ready to do a 5K by then...

I am planning on it! I might walk some of it depending on how an injury heals..but my goal is to make it!

Hello All,

Just checking in and I found us on page 3... Everyone must be as busy as we are!:goodvibes Sarah's birthday party is today! She actually turns 4 tomorrow. The other two kids have voice and guitar recitals tomorrow. So just dropping by to say Hello... Have a great weekend!

Hey Tony. I've added you and your family to the roll call on post one. Let me know if you want to add any info to it.:goodvibes

The 5k... Well I hit the gym 4 or 5 times a week and do a little running. I can do a 5k, but I'm just not one for running in the heat and humidity... Maybe I'll do my own Castaway 5k on a treadmill in the air-conditioned fitness center before I hit the beach.:cool2:

Happy Birthday to Sarah!

This time of year, we are crazy busy. DD plays softball and DH is her coach, and DS plays baseball. We are out of the house every night of the week for someone's game or practice.

Add to that just end of the school year business (concerts, art shows, talent shows, transition to middle school meeting - :scared:) my calendar is extremely full.

Starting to get excited with the talk aobut excursions. Not sure what we will do. both Random Wind and Bernards look good. DH doesn't seem to want to do any snorkeling this time, but the turtles entice me (as does the tarzan swing on Random Wind!). We will have a busy few days to decide on excusions once we tell the kids (telling them about this on the last day of school which is 6/20 and we can make reservations on 6/24).

Enjoy the weather - it's beautiful here in CT finally....

Wow I think that is a great time too tell your kids, I'm sure I will be able to here a loud cheer at my house on that day.

:banana::banana:

I am sure you will hear them - my daughter has been asking non-stop if we can go on DCL again. She said she will do ANYTHING to be able to cruise with Disney again!

I also have DCL t-shirts that I will give them when we tell them. :woohoo:

Hey! We've been considering the Kon Tiki as well. It looks like fun! Do you have any idea what time that excursion begins and ends? Since it is only a half day excursion I'm hoping the timing is right to where we might still be able to do something else that day...

Thanks,
Ron
