Hi everybody! When do they normally post official discounts? I just booked my honeymoon, September 20-28th in the royal room at POR, and my fiance and I are really crossing our fingers for free dining.

So step 1....need to sign up for disney visa just in case

Step 2, stay up till midnight EST every night after the 14th.

Good thing my baby just started sleeping through the night lol!

The boards usually know whats going on before it is posted to the special offers page or before visa sends out the email (if a visa offer applies).

We are planning to go very end of sep beginning of oct. If last day of free dining is 9/28, as long as we start our stay on 9/28 then remainder of our stay would also be fd, correct?

That is correct. Free Dining is entirely based upon your check in date. As long as you check in on a date it's offered, you get it your entire trip.

6 of us currently booked for Saratoga Springs 9/20-9/27. My husband, 3kids and dad. If they offer free dining for these dates it makes sense for us to just book 2 rooms at POR as it saves my family of 5 $1,500. Do rooms go fast for free dining when they make the announcement? Do they only reserve a select number of rooms at each resort for free dining? Not sure how this works

Yes, there are only a select number of rooms at each resort available for the free dining.
I have read on some of the other threads that POR and POFQ have been excluded in some of the the past discount periods due to the bookings already being at a level that Disney has been happy with prior to the promo's coming out. Disney offers the promo's to fill resorts so if there are resorts that are already booking without the promo, there is no need for Disney to include them in the promo, same goes for dates.

If you are thinking about moving to a different resort to save that kind of money (I sure would ) then you may want to have a second resort in mind just in case POR is excluded or full. Good luck!!!

I might be the only one but Any hint of what the room only discounts (if any) will be?

Not eligible for FD since I got my tickets from Orbitz before the ticket increase. Hoping to save a little more on the room if possible (sept 13 - 30)

We were soooo excited for FD, however, since our desire is to stay at a deluxe resort, have been running the numbers and created about a bazillion spreadsheets after all the calculations settled, looks like the RO discount will be the better deal for our family

I'm anxiously awaiting word of any RO discounts

I can't believe it, I got a PIN CODE!!! I nearly peed my pants when I saw the email this morning (It was like I won the lottery - yup, I clearly need a hobby ). Of course, we can't use it as the offer expires on August 28th and our travel dates start on Sept 14th, but still!! I GOT A PIN CODE! Makes me hopeful that we may be on the list to get the next one that will actually cover our travel dates!

(fyi. It was for the room discount and free Park Hopper.)

We're hoping to go to Disney 9/20 - 9/29 to celebrate daughter's Sweet 16. Of course, we're crossing our fingers for FD!! On the Dis, I read to keep eyes open from 4/14/14 on. We'll be away for 3 days 4/14-4/16 and I'd hate to miss FD if it becomes available.

My question......How do you suggest I keep aprised of the situation without being glued to the Ipad for those 3 family days? Thank you!!

I've made my list top picks of Resorts I'd like to stay in and going down the list. I'm am prepared just in case the resort I really want is not offered for FD. It's always best to have a backup plan.

Is there a certain time of day that Disney opens up promotions? Do you have to get on the phone right away like ADR in order to get your resort of choice?
