Our plans keep changing so much, I'm kind of glad that so far we haven't had to worry about booking yet.
We were planning land & sea with a Disney cruise but as it turns out, 13 months before a Disney cruise is too late to get a good price (I had no idea!!!) so we are bumping the DCL cruise to 2013 and doing Carnival instead. The good news is that we are doing 5 days/4 nights BEFORE the cruise at Pop and hoping for free dining. Post-cruise we don't want to try to drive straight home (land sickness is a major concern for me due to past issues), so we are going back to WDW for 2 laid back days just enjoying the resort/surroundings. So for THAT part of the trip I'm sorta hoping for a 40% off deal so we can upgrade. Aaah!
At least I don't feel like a total nut now.I am keeping my fingers crossed for FD for Sept of next year. But a good discount would be good too. We want to stay at WL. This will be our first onsite trip and I have been saving since we came home from our last trip (last year). FD would be some really cool icing on our cake. But I think the wait is going to kill me

After some consideration, we have decided on a trip sept 22- oct 1. Will be on the lookout for a code for FD. Happy watching. Our family made our first trip this summer at the contemporary and I can't stop thinking of it. Planning is underway and we are excited. This will def become an annual ritual. How do you add the taglines at the bottom of posts??
Love bugs are far less annoying than mosquitoes, it's not so bad.
Yes, it rains basically every day in September, but not all day long. Most of the time, it's a quick rain and it's over.
The heat can be rough but it's an even trade off for not having any crowds. The way I see it, you don't have to be in as much of a rush because the lines are short. So you don't feel the heat as much, if that makes sense? Because you get to take your time.
I'm a huge September fan. Not that I have anything to compare it to, it's the only time I've been!!!![]()
How fun Mexacajun!! Sounds like a great time of year to visit. Who all will be going? The CR eh? Sounds heavenly! As far as the taglines at the bottom... see at the top left where it says UserCP. That's the control panel where you can see your profile, edit your profile and most importantly, edit your siggie! It tells you how to do it. Now, go make yourself a signature and ticker stat!!![]()
Hello!! I wanted to jump in and join all of you waiting for a great discount offer! Originally I had planned to take my next trip in Jan/Feb 2013 to beat the horrid winter blues of Edmonton, Canada!! brrr, it's cold and dreary here in the winter, and my 43 birthday would be coming up Jan 29th...so that was a good excuse for a trip then, as well, my BF had never been and finally decided to join me, so another wonderful excuse to plan a trip back,
Well, imagine my surprise when I looked at the WDW website and saw they had some FD dates for Sept 2012!! I priced using psuedo dates for January (albeit this yr) AND FD discount dates....well, it was a no-brainer, Sept Free Dining saved us at least $2,000.00, and if I booked END Sept (the 29th), I could get Free Dining for our whole trip.....until October 4th checkout (where we would move over to Universal/WWoHP for a couple days!!).....so, with me having an ulcer waiting on a discount......annnny discount.....I decided to just change my dates ahead 4 months and book Sept/Oct 2012 with the FD offer.
I booked the POLY Club Level Garden View, Free dining Sept 29 - Oct 04, 2012 for 2 adults (me and my bestie!) and 2 teen boys (my son and his bestie....) I am planning on paying for most of my son's friend as he will likely not be able to afford such a trip on his own....he is from a single parent family, and if they can help with just his airfare, I would love to bring him along for company for my DS... We shall see how that pans out, but right now he is on the reservation.....
My pluses for changing my booking......
I now have a guaranteed discounted package booked!!! A +
I booked POLY Club Level....my first time at this resort A++
Sept/Oct should definitely be warmer than Jan/Feb...more swimming in that beautiful volcano poolA +++
I can see Mickey's Halloween Party, AND Food and wine???? (I believe it runs during my dates??) A ++++
So.....as much as I would love to escape dreary Alberta Winter, I think Sept / October 2012 looks like pretty good dates right about now!
Thanks for sharing my excitement Y'all! I think nothing is more satisfying and wonderfully exciting than having a booked trip in the works (even if it is just a deposited package deal,)
I look forward to planning with you all!!! and sharing happy moments when your discounts come through!!!
Fantastic!! Now I just wish they would release FD in the United States so the rest of us can share in your joy!![]()
Well I myself am hating the wait for FD discount ...lol so I am going to bit the bullet and book with AAA. It saves us about $240 off the package, not great but better than nothing right now![]()
