September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

We just did it for the first time in December and I really enjoyed it. It does take awhile, though, if you are trying to finish all the countries they offer. I think we did about 5 countries and it took 1-2 hours. I don't remember exactly. I believe you could each get your own, but they generally give each family one, so that's what I would do. They will ask you how many in your party are participating because then the unit will alternate tasks accordingly. You could also let each girl complete one whole country themselves and then switch.

Thanks! I don't think we would do all the countries at once but maybe 1 or 2 missions to add a little more fun for the kids when touring WS. Hopefully, they'll share nicely! :wizard:

Well, I belive the 9:15 show didn't start until 9:30, then they arranged the kidd around the table, and then Raupunzel and Flynn came out and talked for a couple mins. They then went around the table and chatted with all for a second. Then they chose their dance partners( hint!! set up your kids at the ends of the tables, they seem to pick the kids on the ends of the table) They danced & clapped twice around the table twice. Then on to meet and greets. How ever the line takes?

I'm hoping to be at the MNSSHP on Friday Sept 23rd. if that is in fact the day. We most likely will just wear MNSSHP theme t-shirts w/ DD wearing a princess dress.

We did matching T-shirts one year...we all wore mickey tie-dye shirts and it turned out really cute and we got lots of compliments! Nice way to be festive without being too hot :thumbsup2

Wow, a custom dress! I'd love to see pictures!

Right now we're planning on going to the Tuesday, September 13 party (if those dates work!). I have no idea what we'll wear for costumes. I also don't want to make the girls too hot. I bought an Alice Costume for my youngest on clearance after Halloween last year. I will have to go through the closet and see if anything we have will work. I am not very good at "creative" stuff.

Oh, we used a picture with Snow White and the Prince from MVMCP for our Christmas card 2 years ago!

I wanted to go to the party on Tuesday September 13th but that's our arrival day and I felt the kids would be too tired from travelling. DH said they would be fine but I decided they would do better at the Friday party so DH was out-voted ;) I'm not good at "creative" stuff either so I usually end up having to buy something too. Too bad I can't sew! I bought my oldest daughter who was 4 at the time all custom boutique clothes for our first ever WDW trip in 2007, now I just try to coordinate the girls but want them to be comfortable in the heat(moisture wicking/quick-drying clothes). I do love seeing all the creativity and different costumes at the party though!

I must be the only night owl (I work nights :cool1: ) You ladies chat all day while I'm sleeping and then I log on and have to catch up on 5 pages. Then I sit here at 3am talking to myself! :rotfl2:

Nope... I am here too, just don't talk much and I also work nights so I know what you mean....

Were here for you ladies. Talk away we will catch up wtih you.

:rotfl2:Good morning!!!! :rotfl2:

Happy Friday and Good Morning to you.

I can make my ADR's on Monday! the only problem is we are going skiing and leaving the house at 5 am! I have told my DH that we need to stop at Starbucks on the way so I can get wi-fi and make my ressies on my laptop...I hope this works or I'll be worried all day!
Good Luck. I'm making mine on Monday also. But we are on the QSDP so I'm only making a couple of them.

One more...I'm just full of questions today, Lol

Who plans on attending MNSSHP? What day? Dining plans? Costumes?

I know the official dates haven's been released yet, but based on the current hours we're planning for the party on Friday September 16th. I made reservations for both my girls for Pirate's League at 3 pm, dinner at the Plaza at 4:20 PM, which will allow us to be free by 6:00 pm to get in line for a pic, etc. Last year we got in line at 6:00 for the seven dwarves and were one of the first few families at 7:00 and it worked out well. It was the best picture and we used it as our Christmas card last year :santa:

DH and I will most likely not be dressed up unless it's a very mild pirate theme to go with the girls. The heat and humidity in September is usually sweltering so none of us want to be dressed too warmly!

So, how about you?

Our plans sound the same. LOL I'm going to let the girls choose BBB or PL I'm going to get the full package so they will be dressed as pirates or princesses. I'm hoping the pick PL since it is around half the price. LOL We are planning on going 9/20. That is a Tuesday. Then the next day we are just doing Typoon Laggon so it won't be a huge deal to be somewhere the next day. I need to have them choose this weekend so I can call and get a 300 or 330. Then I plan on doing probably CP for dinner that evening around 430 or 500 pm depending on what time there appointement is for.

Your plans sound great! ;) BBB is so precious, both my girls really love it. We decided on PL this year to try something different but either way you can't go wrong! We too have built in a rest day after the party so none of use get too burnt out on the trip...like we did on our very first trip :rolleyes1 (and youngest DD was only 15 months on that trip :lovestruc)

My oldest has done BBB. But my youngest just turned 3. I asked them which one my oldest wants PL and my youngest wants BBB. So I think dh will take older dd to PL and I will take younger dd to BBB. I'm going to try to get them both a 300 appointment.

We are hoping to do the party on Tuesday 9/27. If that turns out to be an offical date I am planning on making a 4:45 reservation at Crystal Palace. Not sure about costumes yet. Last year DS was Woody and we got great pictures of him dancing with Woody, Jesse and Bullseye. DH and I didnt dress up because we werent sure exactly how many people dressed up our ages, especially early in September. This year though we are planning to wear light costumes since we felt left out :lmao: I really want to try and meet the dwarves this year, but I cant justify waiting on line that long with a little one. He had more fun going on Buzz Lightyear over and over again since there was no wait whatsoever. Im still trying to convince DH we need to attend two parties one to go on rides and one to get to meet all the characters. Heres hoping for some pixie dust because hes a stubborn one!

We did 2 parties not last year but in 2009. It was good beacuse my girls were younger and after the 1st parade and fireworks they were done. The 1st time we did the dance parties character and trick or treating. The second partied we did the dance parties and did more of the rides that evening.

My girls are goin gon 6 and 3 so we are just doing one this year.

If we go it will be on the 27th. My daughter loved getting to wear dance costumes that normally she could never wear on Halloween, she would be way too cold. So although it was different than the usual costume, it was fun to try a warm weather one.

My 4yo dd's dance costume this year looks like a rapunzel dress so she will probably wear that. No idea about the other kiddos.

Good Morning! How is everyone today? Just checking in...congrats on everyones adrs! I had my own 180 days ressi I was excited about. :) I booked horseback riding for my 9 year old. She is so excited about it too.
I figured that would be our sleep in day (which I never do :goodvibes) then we will all meet at the pool and then go to Disneyquest. I know we will spend most of the day there.

What would be one CS you would not want to miss? Just wondering what others would say. I really want to try Yak & Yeti cs. I loved the ts one so I hope the cs would be great too.

I've been working on my planning notebook putting in hours & budget stuff. This weekend I hope to print some stuff off and maybe go look for t-shirts.

DH and DS did the early morning horseback ride the second time we stayed at WL, it was August and we wanted to do the horseback ride before it got too hot. They did love it, I am sure your daughter is going to love it too

Oral Zofran was my lifesaver with my oldest...my second I had to have it 24 hours a day through a pump in my leg...the FedEx man would bring me my supplies every day and the home health nurse would come too.

She was worth every minute. princess:

Oh wow you win! I was sick on the operating table for my c-section, the nurses wouldn't let me take a pill even though I told them I needed it!

:rotfl2:Good morning!!!! :rotfl2:

Just wanted to let you know you can also use a web-enabled phone, if you get to the disney dining website (its a beta version) scroll to the bottom and click FULL WEBSITE you can do it all from there! Good luck!

We are going Sept 13th also! No idea's on costumes yet, I really wanted something that goes together for DH, Myself and DD18mos, but it can't be too HOT:thumbsup2

Has anyone done Kim Possible at Epcot? I really want to try to do it on this trip. It looks like it would be fun....as long as I can keep my two girls from fighting over the Kimmunicator , I wonder if they would let us have two?

We've done China, Germany, and France. The France one was pretty neat, we liked the China one, but we loved the Germany one!

I do believe they can give you two Kimmunicators. I think I read that on a trip report somewhere.

Right now we are planning on attending 9/27. I want to do Pirates League with DS at 4:30, and then we will probably just do QS dinner at CHH. We are spending the day resting at the resort so we can stay the whole night at the party.

SO, I know this probably sounds WHACKY CRAZY but I am printing out my bank statements from the last time we went to WDW to add up how much we spent and what we can 'not spend' this trip..... like I think we bought a TON of taffy and I threw it out b/c we NEVER ate it..... and we won't be spending the $150 on costumes for MNSSHP this time either...... so is this crazy or a good idea?? LOL

Aww, how cute will they be?! A pirate: girl and a princess:

9/27, that's my birthday! I would love to attend two parties! It would be so much easier to fit everything in. MNSSHP is one of our favorite things about going during this timeframe but the parties just keep getting more $$$. Sending pixie dust your way that you can convince your husband! :wizard:

That's a great idea! We have so many old dance costumes too, except my girls usually don't like wearing theirs for more than the recital because they say they are itchy, lol

CHH is so good! We hope to get in some rest time at our resort too before the party. The day we are going is our transition day from Pop to BC so we have some built in swim time because we'll be staying for the entire party too! :)

I think it's a smart idea! It's too easy to get caught up in the spending sometimes at WDW so I think it's great that you're being pro-active :goodvibes

Good to know, I hope we get a fun one!
Just in case you weren't sure, each unit is pre-loaded with all of the missions throughout the participating countries. So you get to personally select which country or countries you want to tour, and then your mission will start. When you are finished, you can select another country from the list. I personally liked the pyramid effects inside Mexico!

Oh, no I didn't know that. I thought it was assigned randomly. Hmm, now to decide which country to visit :upsidedow

Thanks for letting me know!
