September 2010

We will be at the WL from 9/7 to 9/15

First trip and I'm SUPER excited!

~Zara

You will love it!!! :banana::banana::banana:
We have gone 6 times so last year to give our teenage boys(15 and 17) a break we thought we would take them on a RCCruise...this year we're going back to Disney.
It really is the happiest place on earth

We are returning for a trip from 9/4-9/11. We will be staying in a two bedroom (8 of us total) at Old Key West resort. We're a family of 4 bringing a family of 4 who have never been! I am so excited to get to show them around!!!:cool1:

I bought our non-refundable plane tickets on Friday, no turning back now!!! Alaska Airlines had a magnificent deal from Seattle to Orlando, we are only paying $133 each way per person!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

POLY LAGOON VIEW HERE WE COME!!!

We are flying Alaska too. I always try and book that last since I feel that way too...no turning back.

I have a friend looking at airfare from Seatac as well...for 5 it still is a bit pricey. Do you think it is unlikely that the fare will come down again? She is looking at $329 pp. rt. Is your fare before taxes? Or is your total $266 pp rt?

After taxes and fees it was $144 per person, I paid $864 for the 3 of us round trip! Check the Alaska Airlines website and check by the low fare calendar schedule. The prices fluctuate between Sept 1st and October 1st between $133 to $233 for the lowest fares, there were many $133 days left to choose from! Airfare only goes up, it very rarely goes down, I would book soon!

You can also check Bing.com, they have a price predictor that tells you whether you should buy or wait based on several factors, and how confident they are about what the prices will do. Bing said buy now, prices likely to stay steady or go up.

*I forgot to say, American and Delta both had cheaper tickets, but the departure times were pretty crazy. The next cheaper ticket departing at what I consider decent hours were available on Southwest Airlines for $184 per person with no fees for checked baggage. Alaska is charging us $15 a person for our single pieces of checked luggage.

Thanks so much! I will be sure and let here know. I bought my tickets about a month ago... wish I had waited a bit...but still did not do too bad. Considering that I had a companion fare to work with.

Checking the low fare finder though...I don't see the 133...only 154. We are talking SEA to MCO, right? That comes out to be the 329...same as I got.

I LOVE summer :cool1: but...............I can't wait for September
Let's hope hurricane season is not too crazy this year:worship:

I feel EXACTLY the same way. I have never been to Orlando during this time of year...so I am not sure how bad the hurricane season is there... good year vs. bad year???

Cruzin with the mouse 23-26 then Animal Kingdom Grand Villa 26 Sep-01 Oct. Wahoooooooooo gonna be a great trip! Since I have so many balconies, I think I might have a party:

So, I know I am fairly new here... and I know that I don't know anyone from here... but...

Just out of curiosity, do any of you DISers do/wear anything to try and meet fellow DISers?

I was thinking of putting something on my homemade T-shirts to let others know I'm a member and that it's safe to say a quick "hello!"

I am pretty new as well. I think I have come across posts that talked about this type of thing. I not sure though...something about home depot and paint swatches, the ones in the shape of a mickey head.

Sorry I am not more help. I would be interested in knowing more as well.

Hello just updating since our dates changed - we added a couple. We are now staying at POR from September 25th to October 1st. :cool1:

Counting down the minutes. :rotfl:

Yes!
Some DIS'ers proudly display the Lime Green Mickey Head (LGMH) paint swatches found at Home Depot. They can be laminated and hung from strollers, backpacks, camera cases, etc... They can be enlarged and printed on Tshirts. Or they can be displayed in any other creative fashion you can imagine!

BTW,The4bits - see you there! Your dates are the same as ours!

So excited to know of another DISer is going to be there same time. Where are you staying?

Hmmm... so the Lime Green Mickey Head paint swatch signifies that we are a member of DIS?? I will definitely be doing this. What do people usually put on them?:yay:

We are going from Sept. 24 - Oct. 4. The kids are devastated about Small World being closed.

Mine are too.... so disappointed but also because Star Tours will be closed also. My son was REALLY looking forward to that ride. I know rides have to close but it doesn't mean we aren't still disappointed. :sad1:
