September 2010

Hmmm... so the Lime Green Mickey Head paint swatch signifies that we are a member of DIS?? I will definitely be doing this. What do people usually put on them?:yay:

The swatches are only a couple inches large. It is a mickey shaped paint chip (in the LIME green) on a rectangular piece of thick paper. I cut my mickey head out and then take two of them back to back and glue them so each side is lime green. Then I laminate them and use a Mickey head grommet on them. Then attach them to your purse, key chains, or anything like that. You can put a string on them and attach them to things that aren't condusive to putting through a grommet loop either (like tie on a stroller).

This is just what I have done with mine though - there are many things you can do. One thing for sure is that it is a LIME GREEN MICKEY HEAD that signifies a DISer.

Just realized I'm not on this list!!!

I'll be there September 5-10

As for the LGMHs... I believe the name of the color on the paint swatch is "Alien Green" or something like that. I didn't have any trouble finding it. I wore mine to WDW last year and didn't meet any DISers, but I did post a video from my trip on YouTube and another YouTube user commented on my video saying, "I see your Lime Green Mickey Head! I'm a DISer too!" ;)

So excited to know of another DISer is going to be there same time. Where are you staying?

We'll be at the Wilderness Lodge.....just keep an eye out for those LGMHs!:magnify:
Oh - and my family will be wearing our Tie-Dye Mickey Head t-shirts one day too!:hippie:

Mine are too.... so disappointed but also because Star Tours will be closed also. My son was REALLY looking forward to that ride. I know rides have to close but it doesn't mean we aren't still disappointed. :sad1:

OMG!!!!! I had not even heard this yet! Small World will be closed????:scared1:
For me personally, that is tragic news! It's my favorite ride from childhood and it's always the VERY FIRST ATTRACTION we ride every year. I am SOOO bummed right now!:sad1:

Oh no.

I didn't know that Star Tours was going to be closed... My husband was looking forward to that. :( Oh well. It will just be something I have to use to intice him to go back again once it's opened.

I am very sad that 'its a small world' will be closed. It's our first trip to Disney World, and I was looking very forward to riding such an iconic ride. :(

So far I'm very concerned that we are not picking such a great time to go. I'm determined to have a good time, though.

I keep thinking the same thing, did I pick the right time... but you know the way I look at it... there's always something closed and the crowds from touring plans say 1s and 2s. You can't beat that. :thumbsup2

Ok, this may be a really stupid question, but what does that mean? 1s and 2s?

For as much as I research Disney World... I keep finding things I have no clue about!

When we went last June, Space Mountain and the Hall of Presidents were closed... I would gladly go again with both of them closed IF IASM was open! it is my 16 yo DD fav....

I bought our non-refundable plane tickets on Friday, no turning back now!!! Alaska Airlines had a magnificent deal from Seattle to Orlando, we are only paying $133 each way per person!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Seriously?? Is that touring plans or Tour Guide Mike's or someone elses?

Crowd levels.....1-8 with 8 being very crowded

I'm only familiar with touring plans 1 to 10 rating - who does 1 to 8?

Low crowds though - FAB!!!

DH and I are going September 12-17th! We are staying at AKL-CL!! I can't wait!!

Hello! How funny as those were the dates I originally planned to go! My father and I decided to extend it by one day so we can visit US. I will be celebrating my 21st at the same resort as well (though we have a standard savanna view instead of CL)! I hope we can meet up sometime! :wizard:

@Stefy: And to be added to the list, my exact dates are September 12-18. And may I also kindly suggest a few things? Just to help us all out if we decide to meet up! It would be really helpful if the list was in chronological order. It would also be nice to know (if the user has stated beforehand) which resort they're staying at and who is all in their party (S.O., adult family member(s), solo, young family member(s), etc). It's just a suggestion and if you need any help organizing all this, I'd be happy to help! :)

we will be there Sept 17-27!!!:banana: Still trying to decide if I should bring DGS1 with us. We usually do disney comando style so would have to slow down alot!!

We'll be there (all 10 of us) September 22-29
