....Anyone interested in doing the Chicago Distance Classic half marathon?

There are a couple of Disers from Indiana and I who are trying to put together a group or team to do the Chicago Distance Classic in August this summer. If anyone would be interested in joining our non-competative team- please PM me. I also have two spare bedrooms, should you need housing.

Celeste

Need race info?

I would like the 5k. Done that. Never done a 1/2 marathon.
Might be interresting. Where do they do the run? You can operate a defibrillator right?!

Hey did you get hooked on Rosa Regale from the Aug crossing? - I must admit it is verrrry tastey with chocolate. I have a couple of bottles chilling as we speak!!! ::yes::

I wish they would have Michael Jordan back again - his were the best wine tasting seminars I've gone to on the Magic. He also has me lusting for Williams-Selyem Pinot Noir.....I sooo excited just got on the WS "list" to get their wine!!

Actually we had the Rosa Regale at Victoria and Alberts after the Aug cruise. It is great!!!

I didn't get to see any of Michael Jordan's seminars. Would have like to though.

I don't think I'd call what I do running :rotfl2: Noah ran a 400 yard dash at WDW and I was reall impressed with his form....he looked like a runner! He gets that from his father- Robb is going to run the full next year- especially since I registered him. ::yes::

I am gong to walk it- it has to be done within 4 hours- I can easily walk it in four- esp. if I have trained, which I will do.

You forgot to factor in the humidity. Or was it just unbearably hot and humid on the other side of the lake in Holland, MI at that time of year?

Peter and Tracy have a great trip. Will be interesting to hear your comments.

Julie thanks for posting that info.

I have no clue as to what we will be doing on the various islands. My guess would be diving but we also want to see the top side of these places. No time yet to do our research. Thus the news letter really helps.

Been mega busy at work, barely get a chance to check the board. I need a vacation, bad.

Scott,
Ok I have another one!!

St. Kitts. Private snorkel, 12 people.
Looking for 8 or 10 more to fill the boat.
500.00 for the 1/2 day.

Let me know.

Thanks Julie

Okay creative people, I need your help.

I bought 48 dry erase boards, one for each cabin in our group. My idea was to print up the color header from our roster that includes the 11 night Wonder with the ports we are visiting, and the dates of our cruise. I was also going to include cabin number or names/screen names so that they would not be stolen. I can also include some stickers/embellishments to customize each board. An example would be scuba mickey for Scott/Lynn.

The boards are 8 1/2 x 11. I will attach magnetic tape so that they can be placed on the outside or inside of the cabin door.

Any other ideas on how I can decorate them. Remember, I was in the remedial group at scrapbooking on the May Repo cruise.

And if Elaine, Linda or anyone else has ideas where to buy Disney/Cruise stuff for decorating, please let me know.

And yes, I am starting early. When my DD is bored she will help with the boards.

I just checked the cruise roster and we are over 70 cabins!!! I will order more boards if the interest is there.

I have also starting thinking about my gift.....so many choices. Are people still bring their fish extenders?

Wow- 70 cabins huh, pretty cool! I'm sure it will only get larger.

Leslie there are lots of places you can buy scrapbook stuff related to Disney- but I am not familiar with what is in CA. I was going to recommend archivers- but they don't have one there...hmm. I know there are lots of online stores- I'm sure Elaine will have some good suggestions! They sound really awesome- by the way.

Hi Guys! :lovestruc

Yes, I'm still lurking, and saving my pennies for the 2007 repro. Thinking I should start now making luggage tags for that cruise :rotfl: I remember our list growing by leaps and bounds as May 14th grew closer :jumping1:

Leslie... the whiteboard idea is WONDERFUL!

Good luck with your gifts. I just love all the things you are planning :lovestruc This will be a GREAT cruise! It will be here before you know it! :hourglass

Hi Lesley

Cool idea about the White Boards.....Mom and I picked one up after our REPO cruise after we say Georgie's...it is a great idea to leave messages for one another.

There are some good online scrapbook sites...my two favourites are MouseMemories(dot)com and ScrapYourTrip(dot)com...but both are in Florida.

I'm not sure where abouts you are in CA but Creating Keepsakes scrapbook magazine has a store listing in the back of their magazine so if you send me a PM with your telephone area code and what cities you are near, I will check to see if there are any store listed for your area.

Very cool- Noah will REALLY love the Star Wars ones. Noah and Robb were discussing Star Wars- who was and wasn't in the movies- so now they are watching the movies. :rotfl2:
