Ok, we are going! I've been back and forth about whether to cancel, b/c of our beach house purchase, but since we had already paid the deposit, and the fact that all of our other cruises weree on the Magic, it just seemed crazy not to go ahead and go. lol. Now I feel like i'm so behind in planning excursions, etc. Glad you guys have been doing the research and posting what will be fun. Well, we can't wait to see everyone, and can't wait to finally be on the Disney Wonder.

See page 1 of this thread to get caught up ..

Welcome aboard.. :sunny: :sunny:

Hi everyone

Just an FYI, our son Matt is playing in the beach volleyball compitition at the World University Games on the island of Cyprus. He's just a little guy (6'7") so I hope we does ok. :cheer2:

His first match is tonight at 10:00pm (our time - 8:00am tomorrow his time). Here is the webpage if anyone wants to know more:

I know what I'll be doing at 10:00pm tonight and it won't be working on name badges. I hope their webpage doesn't go down. :surfweb:

~~Susan, count me in for the Palo brunch....Especially if it's on my b-day!!!

~~All you excursion researchers....keep up the good work!!! As I'll be travel-ing with a 2 year old and an 8 month old, I don't plan to do any excursions and I look forward to enjoying an EMPTY ship while you're all off excursion-ing!!!

~~Likewise, I'm glad the ship is gonna be so empty....I hope to get LOTS of evening slots at Flounders!!!

~~I have a "gift" idea but need a partner....anyone interested???

~Jennifer

Ken that is great, we wish them the best of luck.

tde1969... Welcome Aboard, you have been directed in the right direction. Glad you are joining us.

Tracy,
Finally got to reading the newsletter. Another fine job. :thumbsup2

Was noticing how many of the event were similar to the ones we had on the Westbound Canal Cruise. We really enjoyed them all. But where is the pajama breakfast. Don't remember who was responsible for that one. :confused3
Linda? (seaulater) or Elaine? (Mickey&JoshNut)

I am guessing that there will be a sailaway get together on deck 9 also.

Our enthusiasm for the cruise is building. But don't want to get too excited. Yet. Don't want to suffer from pre-cruise planning burn-out. :sad2:

Is there a listing of the spa offerings somewhere? Might as well decide on them by next week too.

I too missed Cabo Wabo last year ... something involving a horse kept me from it. :scared1:

DPD, where have you been? Change your minds about this cruise?
Saw something about Bridezillas in the USAToday.

Horse? Guess I don't remember that. :teeth:

Leslie, there are still life boat suites available.

Great Job on the newsletter Tracy!!
I am reading everyone's ideas on excursions and they all sound great. Any ideas for someone who loves the water, but can't swim a lick?:guilty:
Looks like my trying to fix my little green sign thingy didn't work. :confused3
Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

To all experienced cruisers....

Are you at all concerned when you reserve a NON-Disney excursion that there is a chance you would not get back to the boat on time??? I figure if it is a Disney Excursion and something happens they would hold the boat....

I know I'm probably being paranoid, but our only cruise we took last year, the cabin next to us was packed up after St. Thomas by the room attendants and all their luggage carted away......they had to of missed the ship!! :sad2:

Not paranoid - just cautious!

What a bummer - sounds like there must have been more to the story. :confused3

Some of my best excursions were NON Cruise line reserved. In fact in Tahiti we had nothing planned due to booking a week before we sailed. Got off the ship, bargained with a "hawker" and had the best day. Feeding the rays, going to a private Motu for a picinc...life does not get much better. :cloud9:

I have never had a problem making it back on time. IMHO most of the NON cruise excursions you reserve are in business because of the cruise ships. They would never want to get a bad rap for having a passenger late for the ship.

My real concern is making the res and then not making it in becuase of unforseen circumstances (Like we did not make it to Cabo last August no thanks to Hurricane Hilary) I always get it in writing what their policy is for cancellation.

Hope that helps.

Beth (BethE) and Vickie (minniemouse71), just wanted to let you know that your extenders are going in the mail today so you should have them by the end of the week.

Just saw this posted on another site. For anyone wanting to order stuff from CafePress, here's a code good through the end of July:

And for anyone still wanting to order, a coupon came with mine, Code JUL540. $5.00 off a 40.00 purchase or more, expires 7/31/06

Michael and I are thinking of doing a day sail snorkel trip while we are in St. Thomas/St. John. There are three operators I have researched. All are aboard sailboats and feature lunch/drinks and stopping at a couple of locations for snorkeling. Is anyone interested in joining us? Each boat holds six passengers. All were highly recommended on Cruise Critic boards.
I have contacted each of the captains and am waiting to hear back.

Here are the links to each of them:
