When the next newsletter comes out, I could put a big note for everyone to review their posting on the roster and give the link (can't be any easier than that, can it?). Otherwise, you can only PM 5 people at a time. I can match up my mailing list to the roster and if there is someone not on my list but on the roster, we can PM them. What do you think?

Tracy,

Like this idea the best. I think we would be able to reach the most people with the least effort this way. :thumbsup2

Scott- We were discussing the fish extenders just this morning. I guess we will have to get creative as well. Not sure I can use a glue gun, I'm a duct tape kind of guy. At least the duct tape comes in colors now! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Alex

Alex,

A little late getting to this :sad2: but if you or anyone else would like a fish extender be sure and PM me. Would be more than happy to see that you get one. :teeth:

Hope everyone else is still having that lovely spring-summer weather, I woke up to a blizzard, and now, the yard is covered with that white stuff! :sad2:
I just put away my "walking in the snow" shoes, this will put a kink in the dogs walks.

Today is supposed to reach 70 and sunny although it is still in the low 60's now. :sunny: Saw the weather map this morning and thought of you guys and Scott's post yesterday when I saw that big splotch of white over Wyoming. Glad it is you and not us. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: Supposed to cool off into the mid 60's by day and high 30's at night by the middle of the week with rain.

Hey guys, I have a question for those of you who are DVC members. My DH and I have been thinking about it for the last couple of years. What we really can't decide is, is it better to buy through Disney or resale? If you have done either way could you offer some input? Thanks.

Oh Cheryl?

Hey, Thank God the Tiki Bar is Open. :rolleyes1

Hey Bob..and everyone...

Yes, count us in. We are already reserved at the Radisson, and we are well familiar with the tiki bar..lol. The internet access in the rooms is complimentary if I remember correctly, not sure about wireless access near the pool.

The buffet at the Radisson for dinner looked less than appetizing when we were there the first time, so we headed over to Grills. Now we always have dinner and breakfast at Grills.

Come on September..the days can't go by quick enough for us..that's for sure.

White? What is this white stuff everyone keeps talking about? And how does that relate to the suncreen index? :lmao: :rotfl2: It's already quite warm here. Highs close to 90, lows in the mid-70's. Just another sunny day in South Florida! :sunny: Here's to sending some of the good weather to all of those still in "white". :wizard:

At the risk of sounding stoopid..., I have a question for those of you that know everything.... I won't mention any names,
but you know who you are... :smooth: :smokin: :surfweb: :rolleyes2 ::yes:: :cool2: :ssst:
Are the Dolphin and Swan hotels "official" Disney :earsboy: Resort hotels?

I apologize if I am going to offend anyone but I need to share this. If you don't like reading the sometimes sappy emails with morals, skip this and move on but I know there are pet lovers here so I am going out on a limb and adding it.

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife, Lisa, and their little boy, Shane, were all very attached to Belker and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family there were no miracles left for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.
As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for the four-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.
The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker's family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion.
We sat together for a while after Belker's death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, "I know why."

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation.

He said, "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?" The four-year-old continued, "Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long."

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply, Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Such wisdom and truth, it brought a tear to my eye. Time to pet our pups and give them a hug.

I am not one of those that know everything. In fact I know very little but I can share what I do know.

The last time I stayed at the Dolphin is was not considered an "Official" DIS property. It is not Disney themed but there are buses to and from the properties as well as the boat that takes you across the lake to Epcot. It is a property to use with the land and sea package.

Does that help?

Out of the mouths of babes...........

I am still at the office - been a long day as we were supposed to be on a charter to Toronto at 6:00AM today but it was cancelled due to fog and I am still working. I am really tired (it hurts to hold my eyes open) so I am sure that was part of my reaction but the waterworks just rolled.

Everyone - give your four legged and two legged loved ones an extra hug.

I also don't "know it all" BUT

On a tour I took we were told that the Swan and Dolphin is leased for 99 years and they have about 60 or less years left on the lease. Then Disney takes it over.

That is why the outside has no Mickey ears or ornaments or decorations at all and at the end of the lease all of the swans and dolphins come off and Disney puts up their - whatever around the property.

But I also recently heard that Disney very possibly could be taking it over before the lease it is up due to some other conditions

Sandy,

The Swan and Dolphin are not "official" Disney resorts. They have some of the perks but you can not get official Disney packages when you stay there.

Yes SS, it does help. Thanks. very much. Does this mean there is DISNEY transportation from MCO to Swan / Dolphin?

Unconditional Love - we can all learn that from our pets and our children.

On that I am not sure. Two years ago there was not. Best to call and ask.
