Pahrumpgirl ~ I have got to ask. It's been killing me....WHAT does your name mean?!?! :confused3 :rotfl2:

(edited)

I just looked it up. It's a town in Nevada. Is that it??

Brandy,

You are correct. :cheer2: :cheer2: My mom and dad used to live there and it is a good user id because it isn't used that often. Mostly because, like you, no one knows where it is (60 miles west of Las Vegas almost on the CA border) or what it is and a lot of those that do know don't want to know. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Pahrump? Oh yeah, isn't there a chicken farm or something like that there? :rolleyes1

I believe it is better known as the "Chicken Ranch". One of several like places in Nye County. Believe it or not you used to be able to go there and buy souvies (t-shirts, hats, etc). And yes, I have been there but only to buy souvies. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl:

What is this rumor I hear :listen: about DCL actually upgrading you? :cheer2:
Carol

Now Carol - you must have been that fly on the wall I tried to swat this morning :rotfl:

Actually, I did get an upgrade by 3 cat's. I am actually excited about it. Guess there is a first time for everything -

Also got the Florida rate that they just discounted

Just curious....
Anyone decorating their cabins?

Scott, are you going to bring your palm tree again?

Pirate names? pirate: I had Captain Jolly Mon Morgan the last time and probaly will stick with it.

and finally, when are the excursions available for viewing? We looked through some books at Barnes & Noble last night and got a few ideas.

Hmmmm, decorating our stateroom. :scratchin I don't know. We'll have quite a bit to pack as it is. We'll be out of California fr 14 days on this little voyage. We are definately decorating our door. Made those signs last weekend. And I made us some parrots made out of that foam paper. Came out pretty cute. Thought of putting magnets on the backs and hooking them on the door for Pirate and Tropical nights. pirate:

Bob, Sadly the plam tree sprung a unreparable leak and was left on the Magic, might get another one.

Doug and Carol thanks for the fish extenders. Carol your package should be there Thursday or Friday. Thanks again. Mike

Been awhile since we checked in on this site. Got moved from Chicago to Orlando and pretty much settled in now. Still have a few boxes to unload. Seems like alot is planned for this cruise, can't wait.

Bob,

I agree! I can't wait for September but I intend to enjoy summer first. This is the first one in a long time that we will be able to enjoy our cottage at the lake :boat: and since I am now retired (hate to keep rubbing it in but it does feel sooooo goooooood :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: ) I am going to spend a couple of weeks out there; no phone, no tv, just relaxing and smelling the flowers :flower3: .

I have to agree with this. We have a very busy spring and summer.

MAY

Hopefully Hawaii - although RCI screwed up our reservations.

JUNE/JULY

Flying out to my brothers in VA for 4th of July and then Heather is staying there for 2 weeks. Then my sister in law and nephews fly home with Heather and then my brother comes out a week later.

AUGUST

Heather goes to her Godmother's for a week and I hope to get to the mountains to go boating.

Besides we rushed through last summer to get to the PC Repo. Do not want to do that this year. Need to slow down and smell the roses. That is if we ever have have enough :sunny: for them to bloom. We now have 15 beautiful bushes loaded with buds but no :sunny: to allow them to bloom.

Well - off to work to support my cruising habits.

Hope everybody has a good day!!

Quiet today - everyone must be napping.

My goals are much more short term - I just want to get through the Cancer Societies "Relay for Life" next weekend. Lots of work putting a team together, but it's for a good cause.

Ken

Ken, You are correct. The relay's are a lot of work. My neighbor works for ACS and she is respsonsible for several of the Relay's. DD spent the better part of the day with her a couple of years ago and then I went and we helped light the Luminaries. It was incredibly moving.

You're right about the Luminaria. It is the most moving part of the event. If anyone is near a Relay for Life event, stop by at sundown, you won't regret it.

Ken

Anyone have an answer to the "when will they release excursions" question? Still waiting for our Passporter -- switched from Amazon.com to Passporter, although now Passporter says Amazon should get them in about a week or so. Which is something even Amazon didn't know. OK, I've confused myself thoroughly. :rotfl2:
