Sept/Oct flights

I know everyone here are well in advance planners so this might not really get the answers I am looking for.
I am wondering what the latest you have booked Sept flights is and for what sort of price?
Our trip is planned dates are not very flexible and I really thought I could wait till the end of May/June but watching flight prices rise so much is
On the other hand I am also a little scared to commit because we have so much going on and so many variables with this trip
I should of jumped on the VA flights when I was unsure of our dates but now Qantas is having a sale and it only works out to $500 more than the VA ones but we have to stay a day longer prefer to fly Qantas but DH is gold with VA.

We booked April in 2011 and have booked for this year first week in March. I'm already seeing prices rises, so I'm glad we are all booked and paid for

thanks I already have but thats what has sent me in a tisy trying to decide whether to book now or wait the bank account would prefer I waited but my brain is stressing about how expensive the prices have been the last few weeks.

My friend and I ended up buying our Oct/Nov fare in the last Qantas sale (end of Jan) just so that we could get it out of the way and concentrate on other things because without that fare we won't be going any where and we managed to save $850 each so can't complain too much about that!

I can't see them not having another sale though? They just had two in a matter of a month and a half but maybe they had excess seats they needed to sell

Gotcha! Not sure where you are flying from but the Qantas Brisbane LAX flight arrives at 6am, which is great for early checkin and a full day in the parks.

Those sale prices don't look that cheap to me. We book our flights back in Nov when they had a sale (we leave late August and return early October). We paid $1475 for our flights from melbourne to Vancouver and from Los Angeles back to melbourne. The same flight in their current sale is $3083 They have just gotten gradually more and more expensive in each sale qantas had. That being said, we booked thinking we had secured the best price we could get and a week or two later air nz released even cheaper tickets. Unfortunately we can't predict what the airlines would do...because if we could it would make planning and budgeting for a holiday a hell of a lot more easy.

Good luck. I hope the prices are further reduced for you, I just guess it depends on demand as to whether they'll release more sale prices closer to the date

thanks for your help guys have booked today ended up booking with VA once the Qantas sale was announced there prices dropped dramatically there was a $5000 price difference between them and Qantas for our exact dates DH is gold with VA anyway.

it was I was trying to convince DH we needed to stay an extra 2 days for cheaper Qantas flights and just decided to recheck VA even though I had already cheked them twice that morning
