Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

His boy is of heartier stock :lmao: Well then it's a good thing the boy is coming instead!

I will tell him - he should feel ashamed :rotfl2:Yes, hang his head in shame.

Deb - did you call my (lobster) name???

Cork what seating for dinner? Are ya going join deb & John & Willie & I ?We are late seating. How about you guys?

Are Deb now we are three - we have to champagne :banana::banana:
You bet! We are taking the train up from Baltimore. I can load up! My sulfite allergy left as mysteriously as it came, last May! :cool1::cool1::banana::banana::cool1::cool1: I've been drinking wine since them with no problems.

We originally had this cruise booked for July and we were stressing about the money as we have a Disney Dream cruise booked in November 2013. Doing some checking around I found that if we go in September the price is about $1,700 less.

I am alittle concerned about the weather as September is beautiful in NYC but not so sure about heading up to Canada.

I have not had the chance to read this whole thread but I will over the next few days - just wanted to join in here and find out what everyone's plans are.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda Welcome to the group! We have been kind of quiet up til now. Now that we are at the 8 month mark maybe there will be more activity. Sue

I had to share DH experience with the shore excursions. DH I can't find the shore excursions on DCL website. ME I explain about the drop down select port adventures etc. DH next night.....sorry I did find that but I was looking for the med ports and realized I am a cruise ahead!:rotfl2: I hope he gets on the train with my BFF and I to go to NY and does go to the airport planning to go to Barcelona!

We are planning on changing our 2nt July CTN to this cruise on Sept. 7th and am happy to see that there will be other couples on board. Have cruised DCL four times in the past but always with the kids...this is our first time without and cannot wait!

DH is concerned that we might be bored together or not have enough to do in Canada. What can I show him to convince him that this will be a great cruise for us....especially since there is no flying involved (I hate to fly).

Is there any place that I can see the navigators for a 5 night cruise to show him?

Hope to join you guys!!

Sea day activities onboard will basically be the same types of activites for other sea day cruises. There should be links to 5 day cruise Nav's in the FAQ stickies at the top of the main DCL boards or in the drop down box at the top of the boards under STATEROOMS then click on NAVIGATORS.
We'll all have to wait until the first cruises go to Canada to see the actual Nav's from the Canadian cruises.

Happy Valentine's Day

We are taking the train from Richmond. Live in Williamsburg but going to Richmond because the trip from Richmond to Williamsburg is about as long as the trip from DC to Richmond!:rotfl2: Looking forward to this adventure! Sue

We plan on catching an early, about 7:00am, train on embark day. I should start looking into booking.

Thanks Sue for the welcome. Can't wait to cruise out of NYC. There will be myself, my DH my DSS (stepson) who will be celebrating his 24 birthday the day before the cruise and my dad who is in his early 80's. I have booked us connecting cabins.

I have been checking out the excursions and I have a feeling that my DH and DSS might do the Ride the Rapids and my dad and I might take more of a city tour kind of thing.

I would love to get some tshirts and door magnets made for this cruise so I have been checking out the creative boards also. We live in NJ and my DSS and my dad live in NY (Queens) so we will probably just take the train or express bus. Alot easier then when we cruise out of FL.

Love your Ship of Thieves graphic in your siggie. I would love to use something like that to make a magnet but personalize it with our info. Is that something you made or was made for you? Would it be possible to get the graphic from you if you have it and would not mind. I was thinking of having it say Ship of Magic.

Thanks,
Linda

Also, how do I get my countdowns to show up next to each other. I created one for our November 2013 cruise but can only get it underneeth and as you can see - it does not show up fully.

Thanks,
Linda

Not a problem. DD is a graphic designer. Do want the same font? I'll see her tonight. Or I can send you the blank and you can personalize it any way you want.

When you paste the link in your siggie don't leave any spaces in betweenthe seperate links. :thumbsup2 I hope that makes sense.

We plan to go in a day early. DH has not been to NY since we moved to Virginia 11 years ago. Right now the train is $124 rt from Richmond which is great and we don't have to worry about getting from the airport into town! Sue

I can't decide between Baltimore Penn or the BWI station. We are thinking BWI and just parking our car there.

We are definitely parking at BWI. I live pretty near the airport. I also find it easier to get in and out of than Penn. Are you going up on the 6th?

Thank you so much. I would love a blank one - this way I can put on it what I want. Not sure yet if I will put names and dates or something else.

Linda

Nope, we are leaving the morning of the 7th. I watch our grandson on Thursday's.

Here is some info on excursions from the 06/10 cruise.

Ok - here are all the times, but I have a question...why do you want this? You will not be able to "stack" excursions - because the cruise line insists that there be at least 1.5 hours between return time and leaving on the next excursion. None of these times are fixed and will not be until we dock, so all the times are purely for overview and planning - not time specific. good luck with what ever you are planning!
