I have close to 400 .... I have a problem

400!!! I only have 440 on my entire iPod, and only 63 of those are Disney. I'm pretty particular about what I put on it though. Only put on those songs that are my favorites. I do have some new CD's that I haven't taken the time to transfer though. Hopefully I'll have that done before the cruise.

Just got off the phone with DVC and was able to add Brandon!

At first I was told due to the SOLD OUT status of the cruise, I couldn't! No more additions could be made... no exceptions... I then explained that just because the cruise was sold out didn't mean the ship's total capacity had been reached...

I was put on hold... I was sweating it out... When the rep came back, she said yes, I could still add our nephew! WHEW!!! ka-ching!

Then, I called and ordered the special merchandise. ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching!!!

NOW IT FEELS LIKE WE'RE REALLY GOING!!! YIPEE!!!

Mary... get ready to change that countdown on Sunday!

Did you all see Kay's thread on the trip reports board. She gets to go on the bridge tonight and blow the horn. What an honor! I know Linda (seaulater) got to do it on the repo cruise and Andy (verandah man) has done it as well. Lucky, lucky people! Wouldn't that be fun!

I am a little disapointed at our Palo reservation. Went on line and could only get 7:00 PM on the 1st night. Wanted the 3rd or 4 th night but they were already take by the time I logged on 7/6/2005. I guess I should have tried at Midnight on the west cost. I do not want to miss any suprise dinner gifts or shows. Any suggestions? Also DH and I wanting to do a key west tour but if we do not arrive until 12:00 the trolly tour may not be worth it. What are some other ways of getting around Key west?

For Key West, our plan is to rent one of those electric cars and then do the tour of Key West on our own. We felt that the trolley tour wasn't worth it either, since it ends at 5pm and it's 1/2 hour between trains if you get off. It just didn't seem like we'd get to see a lot, since most things (besides bars/restaurants) close at or before 6pm.

Also, as far as Palo ressies, keep checking, especially once everyone else can register for Palo ressies on 7/20 (I think). I heard that they will open up more spots for the next group.

I just wanted to let you know that DH will be calling them later this afternoon to see if he can work a group rate for us. If anyone else is interested, PM me, just so that we can get an idea of how many are interested.

Does anyone know how the parking at Key West is? We were kind of tossing around the idea of an electric car -- especially since we have little legs traveling with us (DS5). It would make it easier -- especially on DH who usually ends up with Walker on his shoulders. But, if parking is a problem, I wonder if it would be more of a headache?

Parking is also one of my worries. I've heard some reports that there just isn't a lot of it down there... I'd be interested in hearing what the KW Veterans have to say about it...

We rented one of the electric cars when we were in Key West in 2003. We were doing the Southernmost Scavenger hunt down there and we went all over the city. The only place that we really found a problem parking was down by Sloppy Joes. We did find parking, it just took a few minutes.

One of the reasons the electric cars are so popular is they take up so little space. Parking might be a problem at times but I think most people have found them quite fun. We are looking forward to doing it.

Oh I used to live in Chicago and remember this nightmare! I think I learned early on to valet at one of the Dept stores and suck up the $$ as it was well worth it.

Glad to hear the parking the electric cars is not too challenging.

Question - if there is a sunset celebration in Key West and we happen to miss our dining time is there somewhere else we can get food at a later time? Any recommendations on the ship?

I think we may hit Margaritaville for lunch or late in the day drinks - perhaps after the electric car fun!

Oh yeah, if you can navigate parking in Woodfield at Christmas (or any time for that matter) then you can definitely figure out Key West.

When I lived up there, I used to work part-time at Woodfield's Gap Kids and during Christmas we actually got bussed from the surrounding business parking lots to the mall. CRAZY!!!

Mary,,, sorry for not getting back, I'm at work. I don't have the ressies with me at the moment , but I will put them on the thread when I get home later this evening. I think I remember that the ship will arrive in Key West at 11:30 and depart at 9:45 PM. I'll double check and let everyone know.

Hey everyone! Well, my DH has spent the last 1/2 hour trying to get in touch with the electric car vendor, but there was no answer. Well, we just realized that "duh, Key West is getting evacuated". We had a little laugh at ourselves that we didn't understand why they weren't answering and there was no answering machine. Hello, because they probably unplugged everything.

So, our thoughts are with everyone in Key West. And, after the storm passes, we will try to get in touch with them again about a possible group discount. So, if anyone else is interested in an electric car in Key West, PM me and we'll see what we can do.
