Hey guys!! I've been gone most of the morning and had 2.5 pages to catch up on. At this rate, we'll definitely make 10,000 before the cruise.

I took Madison to story time at the local library. My neighbor across the street takes her 2 young kids, so we joined her today. What a great time. It's more like songs & dancing, and then a story, but Maddie liked it.

I'm leaving soon to join Chris for lunch at my absolute favorite salad place here in central FL, Crispers. Yummy, yum, yum!!!

I'm so glad to read everyone's responses to the questions. It's nice to get a little insight on everyone!!! I feel like you guys are already family, and we haven't even gone on the cruise yet.

I have an update regarding taking my DD out of school. Monday the class lists were posted and I was able to get her teachers email address. Yesterday I sent her an email explaining why Morgan would be missing school and today she sent me back a very nice response! I feel so much better! :flower:

Do you have any pets? We used to have a cat named Tigger. After my youngest was born we had to find her a new home. :sad2: Tigger was not happy about the new baby and we had a lot of behavior issues. My oldest really wants another cat! :cat: We keep telling her maybe some day.

What was the last book you read? I'm currently reading The Da Vinci Code and want to finish it before the cruise. Before that I read Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons.

Do you like to cook? I like it when I have time. It is hard between working full time and driving the girls around to soccer, dance, swimming and brownies!

Are you good at cooking/swimming/etc? I'm good at organizing things and planning!

Have you ever met a famous person? Walter Payton. He opened a restaurant near our town, The Round House. He was there during the grand opening and I got his autograph. This past July on my flight back from Vegas I sat by a Competitive Eater. I guess he is ranked 11 in the country but I don't remember his name. :confused3

What are your hobbies? Taking pictures, scrapbooking, reading and planning vacations!

What countries have you visited? Non cruise related - Mexico, Bahamas and Canada.

Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person? More of a middle of the day girl! I can be a morning person or a night person. I like to be flexible.

Which do you prefer, sunrises or sunsets? Sunsets!

How many times did you move as a child? 3

Are you a task oriented person or a people oriented person? Task!

In the spirit of getting to know each other and trying to get to 10,000 posts, here is a question for all of you...

If you won $1,000,000.00 what would you do with it? Rules are:

  1. You have to spend the entire amount
  2. You can't put the money into savings or a non-material investment
  3. You must spend at least $250,000.00 on yourself/your household (can't be for kids college etc...)

How many points can I get with a million dollars? :cloud9:

Noreen, how was the party? Was TJ surprised? :teeth:

Did you pull it off? :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes. He was Surprised!!
The party went off without a hitch, whew!!
Great time had by all.
Thanks for asking.

Now, the kids want to know if I want a Laser Tag Surprise Party for my birthday (which is tomorrow 8/25. I will be 40). I decided a Laser Tag Surprise Party is not what I want right now--it's been done! I will take a cruise!

Although I haven't read all the way through yet, I thought I would respond before I forget everything!!

RE:Reality TV-DS loves anything with competition, But I stay away from Fear Factor. I would not be on a reality show. I would not subject my family to that being on display.

We actully became very interested in the recent Survivor, because the final winner was a fireman in NYC (DH is in the FDNY). :firefight So we had cheer for Tom-the Bklyn fireman.

We also got into American Idol because my boss's brother was on the show. We had to watch and call each week for Constantine. We lived vicariously through his siter with the weekly updates as to what Constantine and the other Idol contestants were doing. :rockband:

Re:$1,000,000
Just as others said,
pay off debts
Buy more points
help family members
I would also buy some beach property although that would use up the $!
So I would have to invest to make more!

RE:Celebrations :drinking1 :cake: :bday:
MY BD 8/25 40
DS TJ's BD 8/8 -9 yrs
Anniv. 8/7 13 yrs.

Now I must get back to my reading!!

How many times did you move as a child? Never.

Are you a task oriented person or a people oriented person?
I think I am both. I am great w/ people but I can focus on the task and get it done.

All of my responses are posted within Cindy's quote above! I still don't know how to use all of these things. So the above posted responses are mine, not Cindy's.

Do you have any pets? Sebastian, our 12 year old Golden Retriever. He does about absolutely nothing except lay around and he loves watching tv when there are animals in the program.

What was the last book you read? Harry Potter's latest!

Do you like to cook? Yes, just don't have any time to do that though!

Are you good at cooking/swimming/etc? I scrapbook, take pictures with our Canon Digital EOS Rebel, love to travel, and love DCL!

Have you ever met a famous person? Yes, too many to mention. I worked in the entertainment business for quite a while.

What are your hobbies? Scrapbooking, running DD around to dance, singing, piano, violin, cheerleading, etc., etc.

What countries have you visited? Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, England, Italy, all over the Carribean, Mexico.

Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person? Well, it changes as I get older. I hated getting up in the mornings, but now find that I am up before 6 a.m. each day. But then I'll stay up late too. But put me in the Walt Disney Theater and have the ship rock at all and I'll be fighting to stay awake!

Which do you prefer, sunrises or sunsets? Sunsets

How many times did you move as a child? Twice

Are you a task oriented person or a people oriented person? Task. Guess that's why I'm in finance!

A little over 10,500, based on approximately $95 per point.

However, if you wait until we get on the ship maybe they will have some great deal!!!

Would the vacation advisor fall over or what?

....Hey, how you doing today......I'd like to add on points. Was thinking about 10,000 per year....what do you think? Is that enough, or should I add more than that?

I heard Ron Howard is making a movie version of The Da Vinci Code. I haven't read it. I am not sure I want to.

How is Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons ?

I am about to start The Secret Life of Bees

I see we have a number of Nora Roberts fans on this cruise. I love Nora Roberts!

Noreen - those were my two favorites on those shows. I loved Tom on survivor and was so happy to see the good guy win!

Also i loved Constantine - think he got voted off way too soon.

Yeah! A TOP shared with Noreen, Tom from Survivor and Constantine from American Idol!

Hey everyone!!! I see everyone's been chatty while I've been gone. Went to lunch with my hubby (and Madison). I need to get some packages ready for the post office, then we're off to go get Emily from preschool. What a busy day today has turned out to be. I haven't gotten anything done around the house, but I've had fun.

Da Vinci is good but a little different than my typical readings. I enjoyed Angry Housewives. The title does not describe the book. It is about a womens book club.

I have read The Secret Life of Bees and thought that it was also good.

I wish I had more time to read! I really enjoy it and I think that it is relaxing.

I wondered when I met all those famous people. ;)

Easy enough to solve. When you hit the quote button, at the top remove the bracket ([)quote=person(]) from the beginning and the ([)/quote(]) from the end. Then your response won't be part of that quote. I hope that makes sense.

What was the last book you read? Night time is my time by Mary Higgins

I like Mary Higgins Clark too. I just recently started doing some of her books on tape when I work out. I find them much easier to follow than others I have tried -- maybe because I'm familiar with her writing style. Lately, I haven't been working out, I need to change that after the cruise.

I just discovered Nora Roberts not all that long ago. I just picked up a new one - Night Shade/Night Smoke which I am planning on bringing with on the cruise.

Good for you! This task is on my list of "things to do today".

We just started school yesterday and not only did Cameron come home from school with homework, but I had homework also. Good required reading for the parents -- 5th grade policies in writing. This is a first I've seen at this school. I had to sign that I was aware of where the teacher stood as well as what was expected of the kids. I'm not always a black/white issue type of person, but I think knowing the expectations ahead of time is a big plus.

Unfortunately, nothing in there about extended absences.

I'm just trying to decide whether an early morning phone call or an email is better? :worried: Any opinions? I'm kind of thinking the phone call is a bit more personal?

What a bummer! We just received a call from MS telling us that our waitlist for the Members Cruise came through this afternoon. We just arrived home from WDW two days ago, so we weren't able to make a ressie for this cruise. If MS had only called a week earlier!

Have Fun all of you Fellow DVC Members!!!
