First time we have been to WDW this time of year for quite some time (it was our 12th visit) and I know why we stopped going, it was so humid!!!
Our main purpose for the visit was the Food and Wine Festival, well actually it was to see Richard Marx in concert (6 shows, over 2 days, Mon & Tues) at the Eat To The Beat series at EPCOT and we had a blast! great shows.
Parked for EPCOT and Hollywood at The Boardwalk and so saved $36 in parking!
Also fitted in half day at Hollywood Studios and a day at the MK (1 Oct) for the Halloween Party which was excellent. We had no idea that people dressed up so superbly at this party! No real dramas, got on most rides we wanted, especially at MK where wait times had a max of 10 mins shown but in fact we got on everything in about 5mins or less.
Plenty of shopping although choice (even from March this year) was limited so suitcases still had plenty of room in at check-in!
Will post some pics when I can. Went with Virgin as usual and everything went smooth apart from a terrible rental car, same model as we had in March but so badly prepared, my fault really as I did not check when I collected as I was feeling a bit under the weather when I arrived, it worked OK but glad I was not going far! (Virgin are changing from Dollar to Alamo next year so we shall see).
Oh, apart from no longer being able to use the Exec Lounge near gate 81 as it has changed to Delta Lounge. Very funny actually as we went up to the desk and the man asked for our boarding passes and he said to his co-worker "oh they are in economy!" before he realised we had Virgin tickets, not Delta!!
