Mac's is in December too (the 20th)! What day is Jack's? :cool1:

Dec. 14 :flower: So they are less than one week apart in age! How fun for them.

Ingrid - Have so much with your daughter today. But do be careful of the pedicure robes - don't want you mooning the lady doing your pedi! :rotfl: And a big Woo-Hoo about the blinds!

bpicard9 - Your son is welcome to follow Jack around! Jack is a tiny little guy so your son probably won't realize he is a big boy! :goodvibes

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!

Just taking a break from this crazy Friday so I wanted to say HI!!!

B&J'sMom - I didn't know this until I called DCL the other day but I
asked them if they ever make any exceptions to the 3 year old age
limit for the Oceanears Club. They told me that when we board the ship
and they do the tours to talk to the counselors and let them meet Mac
and they will make the decision if they will let him in or not. Mac has been in
3 year old kindergarden since June so he is around older kids all the time.
He is (usually) on his best behavior in PUBLIC, he just acts up at home,
which I guess is a good thing. He is potty trained for the most part, he
still has an accident every once in a while. I know he would have much more
fun in the oceanears club than with us so hopefully they will let him join in.
It looks like they have so much fun in there.

Anyway I guess my break is over... have to go back to reality now!!!

No Hurricane Dance   :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

That's just what I was going to ask you guys! Jack has never been in preschool or anything like that. He would be fine if Bailey was there with him, but probably not if he was alone. I know he would be fine as far as their potty training rules go. I really hope he is able to go there. At least just for the hour that Clint and I will be in the spa. :goodvibes I guess we'll see when we get there!

I also have a 15 yr. old cat named Molly! Great name. We WANTED to name our daughter Molly, after DH's ancestor Molly Quinn who came over from Ireland around the turn of the century. BUT, the cat was still around so we really couldn't name daughter with the same name as the cat. So, Meredith it is.

I'm a December baby too. 12/21. Moms of December babies...promise me here and now that you won't ever wrap your baby's birthday presents in Christmas paper or put poinsettias on their birthday cake. Pinky swear?

Elf - We're not doing the Captain Marvin. My kids would freak out if they had to get in the water with the rays. Standing off to the side and watching them - yes. Having them slide across your feet - BIG NO. They barely stuck their hands in the tank at Sea World and refused to feed them.

One week from now, the dog will be at the kennel and I'll be twiddlin' my fingers waiting for DH to get home from work so we can pick up the kiddies at school to head to the airport.

As far as colds, I have given my kids very strict instructions NOT to use the drinking fountains at school until the trip. I'm so worried that they'll get a head cold and make the flight miserable since it can get painful if your sinuses are clogged. Now, whether they listen is another story...

I CAN"T WAIT.......I CAN"T WAIT..........I CAN"T WAIT................ :cheer2: :cheer2: Work really sucks this week especially today......VACATION TAKE ME AWAY :cloud9:

My DD9 is a Dec B-day too. Her's is 2 days after mine on 11/30. Jamie No we do not combine her b-day with christmas in any way.

No Hurricane Dance :cheer2:
  :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2:

SmilingMouse -Just a thought but... I bet if you call your doctor and tell them your going on a cruise they'll prescribe something for you whether is viral or bacterial! My docs are real good about understanding that no one wants to be sick on vacation and always prescribe for me. Usually I ask for a z pac (Zithromax) since it's taken just once a day for 5 days and it kicks stuff out of you real quick! :flower:

bpicard - I know you posted a newer version but I can't access that type of file. :badpc: You e-mailed me the last one in word. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to send me the updated version in word via e-mail? Tks!! :flower3:

mkusmile78 - I've never cruised Disney before but I did sail Royal Carribean and they were wonderful about allowing my DS 5, who was 2 at the time, to join the club and he wasn't even potty trained. He wore pull ups and they just paged me when he 'did the nasty' and it went well. :teeth: If another line provides that kind of service I'd be shocked if Disney didn't bend over backwards to work with you. The only thing RC told me was they wanted to see how booked the clubs were. Sounds like Disney is just concerned about his maturity level which from what you say sounds like it's no problem! :cheer2:

I can't remember who it was... but tks for the latest tropical update! Sounds good - so keep those dances comin'!!!

:music:    :rockband:   :rolleyes1

Christine and kwork11 I've emailed you both copies of the latest group info. Let me know if there's anything I need to correct :)

RE: the Shoe Shopping excursion in Key West

I've just spoken with Customer Service at the original Kino Sandals (107 Fitzpatrick) and they confirmed that they will be open on Sunday the 25th from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Julie you won't have to scream at the door ;)

If we dock at 11:30 does anyone know what time we can disembark? Are y'all planning on going as a group as soon as we disembark? I'd like to tag along but we've planned an excursion for immediately after we get there and we need to do that first. :)

We've done Mac's birthday parties in a luau format, with palm trees and parrots throughout the kitchen and Hawaiian music in the background. His last birthday cake featured Lilo & Stitch on an island on the top of the cake, with Nemo characters and other fish on the sides.

We've also put all the friends/family on notice that if they try to 'double up' by giving Mac a combination birthday/Christmas present we're going to do the exact same to them. So far we've had no problems there. :rotfl:

Alright, alright... so I'm not a mother... :earboy2:

Does this sandal shop sell men's shoes too? DH is looking for a pair of (I call them) hippie sandals that have a really flat bottom and a strap of leather around the big toe and a thicker band around the top of the foot. They were really popular in the late 70s. Anyone know what I mean? If there'd be anywhere where he could find them, I'm sure it would be in Key West.

Jamie, is this what you were looking for?

found the info on kinosandal.com I'm pretty certain, that's where the excursion is headed :)

btw, we made a family promise not to combine Christmas and bday gifts.

I have an exersion at 12:30 I hope I have time to go to the shoe store after, I want some shoes I want the Lillie ones in black and navy I already know what I want. But I might want more when I see them. Never can have too many sandals in NE, you know the 4 months of the year you can wear them.

Jamie - we told everyone we knew
that if they wrapped Mac's birthday presents in
Christmas paper that we would do that to them.
So far we have one had one person do that
(one of Eric's aunts)... it was a Elmo Christmas bag.
For his birthday we go as far away from anything
Christmas as possible... for his 1st b'day we had a
Scooby Doo luau and for his 2nd b'day I made him a
Nemo/Lilo & Stitch cake with a Hawiian theme to it.
He wears his Hawiian outfit every year,
which I think he has pretty much outgrown.
We got it in St. Thomas at the market on our
last Disney Cruise when he was 11 months old
so needless to say it is getting kinda small! :confused3

pirate: I went at lunch and got Mac's
Pirate Night/Halloween costume. He is going to
have way to much fun with that! pirate:
Eric's cousin taught him how to Aaarrrrrrr
like a pirate so this should be interesting. pirate:
He runs around the house Aaarrrrrring at the dogs. :rotfl2:

I saw these and thought "WE FOUND THEM!!!!" Of course, when I showed them to DH, he said "well, the ones I was thinking of were brown" and "well, the ones I was thinking of didn't have a metal clasp." To which I replied, "well, the ones you were thinking of haven't been made for 25 YEARS!!!" It's 2005! Good thing Izod polos and Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars are back in style or this man wouldn't have anything to wear.

"Good job" to the December baby parents for not combining celebrations. :worship: Your little ones will appreciate it when they're older.

YO! Came home early cuz I couldn't stand the pressure of a whole week's work. :rotfl2: The STRESS & STRAIN! :rolleyes1 Plus, they want me to come to work on Monday!!! :confused3 They have don't seem to have any any idea or concern about the fact that I'm leaving Tuesday!!! :moped:

Actually, I came home to mop the floors before Chrystina  gets home!

Becky ~ Don't you be getting sick on us. Remember DUPONT - "Better living through chemicals" :earboy2:

Jamie ~ Would your DH like to share my wardrobe? :rotfl2: I don't find anything wrong with his insistence on brown sandals (no metal strap), polo shirts, khaki pants (and shorts) - preferably tan/beige and OBTW solid color bathing suits.... NOT to even get into the discussion of suits!!! Tell me he is a meat & potatoes guy and Chrystina  can order MY dinner for him. :teeth:

Ingrid ~ Stop worrying ~ Be Happy ~ If you want, I'll even let you have BARNEY's HAIRBALL ... :sunny:

bpi ~ Can you post the updated file? Thanks ...

Dennis

Hi everyone,

One Friday from now we will be on our way to Orlando to link up with the cruise the next day. is it just me, or is there an air of unreality about the thought?

Back soon.

:moped:

As soon as we found out I was going to have a baby in December, I told everyone that these are TWO separate occasions - Bday and Christmas! No christmas paper on bday presents, no "doubling up". No Christmas cards as bday cards. I don't know why I was so upset about this - I have an Aug. bday so I've never had any problems!

Onto a very important topic: SHOES!

So, we don't get into Key West until 11:30 am. and the sandal shop is only open until 3 pm. I origionally thought this would be one of my first stops in Key West since it's so close to the dock, I was wondering if we would just meet somewhere on the boat before we got off. But I don't want to leave anyone behind that wants to go shoe shopping! The more, the better! :grouphug: Anyone have any ideas? Maybe we could have 2 separate shopping excursions. One for those who will be going immediately and the other for those with other plans first - excursions, etc. - and then want to shoe shop later??? I have no idea. I am bad at planning things! :guilty:

You might try in Cozumel, I also plan to look for some mexican sandals there too.....Might need a empty suitcase just for my shoe shopping :teeth: :cheer2:
