Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

****Got my Donald's Safari Breakfast online this morning! :woohoo:
Going out tonight with Divas Mary, Sheryll & Missy tonight...we are going to see the new Sandra Bullock movie, The Proposal and eat (and drink!) @Chuy's! http://www.chuys.com/index.html

Are you going to be at Chefs de France when they bring out Remy? The schedule I have says he comes out at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 and 5:20, and that it takes about 35-40 minutes for him to make the rounds. We're definitely hoping to see him!
Our ADR here is @5:10pm so I guess we'll get to see him....better go watch the movie now!

Hope everyone has a GREAT day! :cutie:

Hooray for Diva K!:cool1: Persistence pays off. Sometimes it takes longer than others though. :rotfl: Now I hope, that after all that work, nothing happens so you are not able to go. Happens to me all the time. :hippie:

M&N, songs are the markers of our lives. Songs that I did not care for when I was young are now among my favorites as they bring back memories of my youth and such. The lyrics evoke thoughts, prayers and memories and the melody fixes them into our minds and hearts.

JM, I saw where the son was able to talk to his mom and ask for forgiveness before she passed. Probably did him more good than she, as she was very weak at the end, but as a mom I know she would be pleased at him feeling better. Hopefully he will be able to pull his life together when he is released. I know that Tatum always said that her dad started her on drugs so maybe not hanging with his dad for a bit might be good. Drugs are evil. Not the people. My drug of choice is chocolate and that is legal. I am blessed.

Mowing the yard today. Used the reel mower as both churches were in session. Respect. Have the other eye done tomorrow and then Tuesday is always full and if I waited for the weather to cool I would need my grandson to bring his hay baler over. :rotfl:

Congrats on getting your adr! Fantastic!!! And have a great time during your girls day out!!!

S&G, you are so right about drugs. So many lives have been destroyed by them. Hopefully Farrah's son will straighten himself out.

That is very nice of you to mow quietly. Wish the guys cutting the lines in the concrete across the street yesterday would have been so considerate. I was awake, but I'm sure others didn't appreciate them out at there 7:30am. Jonas said the people that live right next door to the house under construction were just standing out there watching them. They are related to the President of our HOA, so maybe they will say something. I know it gets hot early here, but on a Saturday.

M&N, thank you for posting Kermit's song, "The Rainbow Connection". One of those you don't hear very often. Yes, Kermit makes you smile but that one also brings a tear to the eye.

Well, I realized a huge goof this morning. I forgot to pick up the hubby's uniform from the cleaners. They have to wear their blues on Mondays and he only has one pair of pants. He said he will just get someone else to go in for him until he can get it, and seemed ok with it. I feel really bad.

Off to see the HoP. Can't seem to get moving today and still need to get Jacob dressed. Slow movers here today. Jonas is already at work for a meeting. At least he wears the other uniform today.

Have a great Sunday!

I'll probably post this on FB, but I just booked WCC for my birthday. Anyone else trying to get ADR's, keep checking online!

I was so lucky to get all my ADRs too, even got Le Cellier!! Did you like "The Proposal"? I thought the Betty White parts wera absolutely ridiculous and possibly spoiled the whole movie. I know she was supposed to be comic relief but she wasn't.
I'm listening to "You are not alone as I type this :).

Hello everyone, I got back late last Wednesday night. I can not believe how much there is to catch up on both personal and business. I am the type who wants things done and now so it is frustrating that there is not enough time in the day. lol

Just wanted to say hello and hope everyone is doing well.

Now to take a bit of time to try to catch up on what is going on in the thread.

M&N, My heart goes out to you on your loss. I have lost quite a few people close to me in life but I can not even imagine the pain of losing a child.

Angela

Jan, I love Betty White. I have not seen that movie. I get a kick out of folks thinking that she is playing against type when she does such parts as I know very well that she has always been salty. She would have been a great Blanche. Must be a generational thing. :goodvibes

Ang, I have older friends and once, many years ago, I asked them if they had ever gotten everything done and not one was able to answer in the affirmative so I have come to the conclusion that maybe we were not meant to. The world might end if we did. You would not want that to happen. The most important things generally get done, the rest is just chaff.

JM, hooray for getting the Birthday ADR of your dreams. :wizard:

Had my right eye done today. Not nearly as sore as the left one was last week. Went to K Mart as they were having 40% off the clearance racks. I swear they need to hunt down, fire and then possibly execute the buyer of their clothing line this year. Ugy does not begin to describe it. Pretty bad when piece of clothing that were $25 are marked down to nearly $5 and there are still no takers.

SG

SG, I'm glad everything went well today, except for the ugly clothes at Kmart. I use to love Kmart, but since they got in so much financial trouble they have really let their stores run down. Seems like they would pic the good ones, clean them up, and start from there.

Hey, if anyone wants some of the new Coppertone Dual Defense(I think that is the name), they have a $5 off coupon online at coppertone.com. The commercial on TV said it was a $3 coupon, but when I went online this morning it was actually $5. Can't beat that and Target already has it on sale this week.:yay:

Welcome back Ang and Will!!!!

JanJanDis, glad you got your ADRs also.:cheer2:

Another 100+ day here...gotta be some kinda record for so many 100+ days in a row! :sunny:
Had an OK day today @Schlitterbahn today with Mary & her girls...really crowded :crowded:

Did you like "The Proposal"? I thought the Betty White parts wera absolutely ridiculous and possibly spoiled the whole movie. I know she was supposed to be comic relief but she wasn't.
Was surprised how entertaining it was :thumbsup2

Take care of yourself

For the last few days I could do one thing, then the computer would stop...sooo aggrevating! Did a system restore and all is well today!

Ang & Will, welcome back! You've been missed. LOVED the photo at Linda's house - what a neat surprise for us and fun for all of you! ::yes::

Thank you for your kind words.

:woohoo:for everyone's ADR's!!! :woohoo: Especially for your birthday, Melissa!!:woohoo:

SG, so glad to know you are doing well. K-Mart sounds downright awful!

DivaK, 100+ temps!! We're having a little break here so far this week from the high heat and humidity - it's been 89, no humidity, so quite pleasant. Hope things are not too awkward with DivaMary.

OMG - tomorrow is July 1st already!!!

Two elderly women were out driving in a large car ~ both could barely see over the dashboard.

As they were cruising along they came to an
intersection. The stoplight was red but they just went on through.

The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself, "I must be losing it, I could have sworn we just went through a red light."

After a few more minutes they came to another intersection and the light was red again and again they went right through.

This time the woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light had been red, but was really concerned that she was losing it.

She was getting nervous and decided to pay very close attention to the road and the next intersection to see what was going on.

At the next intersection, sure enough, the light was definitely red and they went right through and she turned to the other woman and said,
"Mildred, did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row!!! You could have killed us."

Mildred turned to her and said, "oh sh*t, am I driving?"

No, not awkward for her...I don't think she thinks they did anything wrong/realizes I am upset, disappointed, etc...
I am just not asking her about the cruise (they leave Friday) and she really isn't saying much about it in front of me...my DH doesn't want them to think we are jealous that they are going on a (three day) Disney cruise...we'll see how it is when they get back and she wants to tell me all about it, share photos, etc :boat:
BTW SHE ironed the girls Diva Disney bling on HERSELF! (I NEVER said I would...guess she got the hint...)
She has been hunting for one of those plastic, over the door shoe hangers that everyone recommends using on the cruise to organize tolietries...I had an extra one and gave it to her today! :headache:

Kristin,
100+ over a long period UGH!!!. Is that actual temp or with the heat index? Florida was exceptionally hot our last week there with heat index temps over 100. I like heat but that hot is what I think it would be like to live in hell. I hope it cools down for you soon. I was complaning today I was cold because it was 65. Wish I could send some of that cooler weather on down toward you.

As for Diva Mary my unsolicitated advice is to talk to her and tell her your upset with what she did and why. If she is a true friend she would want you to be honest so she knows not to do that again, and then the tension would go away too.

I am still trying to catch up so I may be missing some of the story though so excuse me if I did.

Melissa,
Thanks for the coupon for the coppertone I need to restock after vacation and you can't beat $5 off.

Hello M&N glad to see you are doing well.

Hello to anyone else lurking out there.

:rotfl2: I'll have to remember to tell that one to Jonas tonight.

I thought you were going to tell this one by George Carlin:

Two men in a car. The driver runs a red light. The passenger yells, "You just ran a red light!"

Driver: "It's ok, my brother does it all the time."

Again the driver runs a redlight. Passenger complains and again the driver says, "I'm telling you my brother does it all the time!"

At the next intersection the light is green and the driver stops.

Passenger: "What are you doing? The light is green!"

Driver: "My brother might be coming the other way."

Your welcome for the coupon Ang. So, I live in hell is what you are telling me.:rotfl: I know that week it did feel like it.

Kris, I've been there in those 100 degree days. I can remember running around bare foot as a child and having to get the tar off of the bottom of my feet because it was so hot it melted in the streets.

You sound like me when it comes to Diva Mary. That is something I would do, giving that cosmetic divider to her. Just a thought, but do you think her DH changed his mind and wanted the cruise because your parents were now going?

Just a few weeks until my BFF is in Orlando. I have her maps, so I know what they really want to do. She doesn't want to do Dinosaur, but I'm ok with that. They have never done ToT, so I can't wait to take them on it. She didn't have Nemo on her list for Animal Kingdom, but I told her they should see that if we have time.

So what is everyone up to today. I'm thinking of taking Jacob to the Fine Arts Museum in St. Pete. It's storming right now and I don't know that I want to be driving on those long bridges in this weather though.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
:goodvibes

It is in the lower 70's today and it is supposed to rain, which will save me from lugging buckets of water all day long so life is good, very, very good.

Diva K, I am with Ang. You are a good soul but even a good soul will eventually get weary of being put upon and that will sound the death knell on a friendship faster than most anything. I would wait until Mary gets back from her cruise and maybe a bit of time afterward and then have a serious discussion. I know you do not like turmoil and are the one to keep everyone friendly and this will be a bit difficult. Friendships/relationships have to be two way, not all the time but a significant amount of the time or it is a facade and will crumble in time.

JM and MN, so we are telling jokes now huh? Here is one for you all.

An elderly couple woke up one morning and the husband rolled over to give his wife a good morning hug when she screamed ,"Don't touch me!" Her husband was shocked at that response and queried why. "Because I am dead", responded the wife. Perplexed as to how she could possibly believe she was dead he asked hesitantly and was told this. "I must be dead, nothing hurts". :rotfl:

Ang, sage advice and something you can always do with me. Honesty is always the best policy and frankly, at my age, I do not have the time to deal with folks who get all upset over small stuff. I would much rather someone tell me that they are upset with me and why than to potentially lose a good friend. I would contemplate the thought and if I find myself in error I would apologize and strive to do better. If the person is unreasonably upset with me I would move on. I used to be nicer but time is awasting at my time of life.

M&N, OMG I can't believe it is 2009 already!!!

I have been given orders to take Tom to his brothers for the weekend. Works for me.

Just a thought, but do you think her DH changed his mind and wanted the cruise because your parents were now going?
Yes, we did think of that....her DH is very insecure...didn't want any kids so he could have Mary to himself...jealous of the time the girls require from Mary...hence the trip last November WITHOUT the girls...:sad2:

JM...still laughing! Does he know my brother, by chance? Watch out if you're in the Chicago area - he's all over the suburbs, in all directions.:scared1:

DivaK - I would be so uncomfortable. I would have given her the door hanger too, but would be hurting inside and would have to talk at some point. I don't do confrontation though, so if I thought it would turn into that I'd avoid it like the plague.

SG, are you sure you didn't write that joke?? :rotfl: I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts concerning friendship and communication.

A weekend alone??? :woohoo: for you!!

Yesterday when cleaning out old email folders, came across that joke - which cracked me up. Had to share before I deleted it forever.

Happy July!

Kristin,

I am still trying to catch up so I may be missing some of the story though so excuse me if I did.
Glad your back & had a good time:goodvibes
Melissa,

Thanks from me too:thumbsup2
Hello M&N glad to see you are doing well.

Hello to anyone else lurking out there.

That would be me;)
Ang
Hey all:hippie: I miss conversing with you girls. It's been a hectic few months, so I don't have much time to play. Haven't even read half the posts.

My husband has decided to take new job, after 27 yrs with the same school district. The new position is suited for him but he will be doing ALOT of work from home:scared1:. I am furiously seeking employment, dread the thought of him being home all day. I'll never have time to Dis:rotfl2: On that note, I have decided to possibly list the house. We live in a very small community, closest Walmart/Target is 35 miles. Our doctors, hospital & any entertainment are also there. I love living in the small town, but am getting tired of driving to get everywhere. So , we have been painting, landscaping, repairing & replacing since our return from TN.

DS #1 turns 10 on Fri:eek: He is our little firecracker. I was beside myself when he was born, I didn't want him to have to share a birthday with our country:confused3 and have a red, white & blue birthday cake every year. What kind of cake does he want??? You guessed it- red/white/blue/stars/stripes:rolleyes: Same cake for the past 5 yrs, why do I worry over stuff like this?
DS#2 finished baseball last week, his team won the championship. Thought we were done & he was then picked to the all star team. Another month of ball & traveling:scared:
Hope all are well & planning fab trips. Miss you:flower3:
