Sept 2005 Roll Call...It’s Finally Sept! Are You Ready? Come Share Your Enthusiasm

Anyone having trouble making ADR's? Just wondering, as my TA said that things are filling up with the meal plan deal and all. I hope she can still get ours all set, EEK! :sad2:

I'm not sure what week you are going. But I am going Sept 3-10 and I had no problem booking my dinner reservations at all this week. She offered me exactly what I wanted on all of them...but then again I was flexable and only a party of 1. ( did 4 dinners, 2 lunches and 1 breakfast)

I guess it all depends on where you want to eat. Give it a try and have some alternate days for the same place so you can get all your FAVORITE MUST HAVES in.

let me share with you then i will put my ear plugs in so i won't be able to hear you scream...... j/k

i have called the last 8 days for my adr and have two more days coming up to also call on. i , like others, have the free dining program.

i am calling at 6:57, really 5:57 cst, for my requests.
i am using all of my ts for dinner hours as most of the menus look better to my taste. therefore, i am calling daily.

i have been waiting between 40 to 55 minutes each time i call disney. i am going solo but the first cm told me it is set up as table for two since they do not have tables for one.
so far the time selection that have been available to me have been extremely limited. today i was given a choice of 4:50 or 6:30 for crystal palace for dinner. the cm was shocked all the other time slots were already taken. she talked to a supervisor and came back to tell me that most people on the dining program have been calling regularly to book their first choice/selections. the cm said some people may chose to cancel their adr or try to reschedule a different time at about 20-30 days out from their ressie.

my CRT for dinner is early, 5:05 which i will try to change later closer to the date.
please, if you are planning on specific resturants during your vacation, book some of them now. you can always modify them later.
the cm today told me many of the resturants will not be holding time spots for walk ins for october.
i have never in the last 14 trips booked these many adr. i usually just book 3 places and then wing it for the rest. when i noticed how difficult it was to get some resturants, i decided to book them all.

To Rickc77, Bekawells, Katebeth and Fausz4!

Welcome to the early week of Sept arrivals. :cool1:
(A lot of people are doing the end of September)

If anyone wants to meet up for a meal, a VMK quest or anything else. Just PM or post. I've got my table meals all set and my Park Tours but other than that my time is free to do as I please.

Can't wait to get to WDW. :jumping1: :thewave:

I'm sorry, but what is VMK? I looked on the abreviations list and did not see it.

I will let you all know how the ADR's go tomorrow. (I think that is when the TA will call them in) I did give alternate nights for two of the nights to switch them around, but I hope they all go well. Last week when I spoke to the TA there was no problems getting ADR's, everyone must have gotten on the ball after the 4th??? We are going Sept. 10-16. Hoping for Olivias, Ohana, WC, and H&V. We have cindy's lunch in the castle, and Le'Cellier all set. (as I thought those would be the only two that may be difficult to get, and wanted to wait until the September hours came out)
... OH BRAIN STORM, that must have been it!!!!
Everyone waited for the park/parade hours to come out and then flooded the ADR's in!!!) :scared: :crowded: :shamrock: (love that new smily!)

Sorry, that was rude of me. I just figure everyone knows the short form.
VMK...Virtual Magic Kingdom. You will find a Topic for this in the boards. It's suppose to be a game for Kids but you will a lot of adults on it. (You'd think we'd have something better to do) Alot of people from here play, there's a list of disboard to vmk names so you can find people you know.

Anyway, there are In Park Quests at Magic Kingdom that don't cost anything. You pick up the quest cards at VMK Central which is the old Cinema and as you go around the park to the different rides/areas you can answer the questions. Go back VMK Central and you can 'win' free virtual prizes to collect in the game for each right answer. IF you get all the answers correct, you can then go on an In Park special VMK Tour which takes you on a few rides (skipping lines), learn some trivia, answer questions and win more "virtual" prizes. When done that tour they take you back and get you to make characters for the game and try it out. (well that's most of it anyways)

Sorry this is off topic for this thread but I felt guilty and I didn't want Patsfan7 to have to search for more info if it didn't sound interesting.

Good luck on the booking your meals! The only one we have the same is WC.

I still have some ADR's to make! I'm going to call tomorrow night now that my 90 day is open for all of my dates. I hope I'm able to get the times I wanted or somewhat close to them. It seems as though I'm looking at hours that are not what others are choosing (I want to eat earlier than later).

BTW we are updated.

Morning :)

Good luck with your final ADRs Scoutsmom99! We have all ours set now.

One thing I wanted to point out is that I was calling from England, and generally had to wait until after work, so I was calling probably around say 2pm local time in Florida? Maybe even as late as 3pm. I had barely any wait time for a CM which is nice (particularly when I get my phone bill ;)) and was finding that for *most* restaurants I wasn't having a problem. *but* I was often told it was the last table, or one of the last few.

We did manage to get Jiko's, even tho' I phoned on the 90 day out at those later times (and was worried we wouldn't get it) we did. The only places we got times we didn't really like were Tonys (5.15pm was one of the few choices) and Mama Melroses (4.30pm was one of the few choices, but I'm told on the DIS that 30 days out we can perhaps amend it... we probably won't).

So, I guess what I'm saying is, although things are booking up because of the free dining plan, and although I would highly recommend you plan in all your TS as soon as possible because of this (I doubt they will have walkups) I think, imho, that apart from say CRT and other favourites like that you should be able to get tables whether you ring on the dot of opening time for the phone line or not.

Best of luck to you all :goodvibes

I just booked my ADRs yesterday. We are at, I think, around 75 days out. This is a bit of a last minute (well last minute for me lol) trip and so I was a bit late on the 90 day window. There are only 2 adults in our party.

I called WDW DINING around 2pm yesterday afternoon (EST time, not sure what that equates to) and got through in about 2 mins.

I booked only dinner PSs, we'll go counter for lunch.

I booked:

Sept 19 - Mama Melrose (MGM) 5pm. I would have liked this later but it was either 5pm or 8:50pm so I went with the early one. I imagine this is booked with Fantasmic! package people, and I don't mind eating early I guess.

Sept 20 - Nine Dragons (Epcot China) 6pm. This one was no problem. I have read mixed reviews about Nine Dragons, but recently the reviews seem OK so we'll try it.

Sept 21 - Le Cellier (Epcot Canada - eh) 8:50pm. This one was a bit brutal, but I really want to try this restaurant. It was either this or 4:50pm I believe, which is just too early. I guess we will be in the rest. during Illuminations? This is OK with me because we saw it last time via an Illuminations cruise (which was awesome btw) so can miss it this time. But boy we are going to be late - hopefully the chefs and waiters aren't too tired by the time we get there!! :teeth:

Sept 22 - California Grill (Contemp.) 6:20pm. This one was perfect. I think we will probably get in around 6:40pm and will take our time, so we should be really set for Wishes at 8pm and hopefully a great sunset. Very romantic for our last night in the World.

I am thinking that with the dining promo alot of people are making their PSs as a 'just in case' and also probably making multiple PSs at the same time (can you do that?). Anyway, I am expecting that if I call a few days before we go - or even on the same day - there will be some cancellations and I can move a few of the really early or late ones around. But if that doesn't happen I do not mind. If I had our DS with us though, it definately would be more of a problem, but on the other hand I probably would not be booking the same restaurants.

Basically, I am not stressing - no matter where we eat, we will still be having a blast. :cheer2: :earboy2:

It may be a small world but we Hamiltonians sure do get around. :)
If your friend lives anywhere near Hamilton, I'll know the name of the city at the very least.

I am welcome to the idea of meeting up for a meal or Ice cream. If you want to know my times to try to make a meet...PM me where I can email you the info. I have 3 days that are busy but the rest are open to adjustment.

Hello all! sorry to jump in on page 29 - but we just booked airfare yesterday (cheap! $49 each way out of Hartford, CT!) for Florida!

we havent' booked any resorts yet...we have gone the past 3 Septembers and are used to "flying by the seat of our pants" when it came to PS's (ADR's...whatever)...here's hoping we can still do that!

just a heads up for anyone out there that wanted marrakesh for oct 1 for dinner hours.

it was booked for the times i orginally wanted but called today and was told there were 7 cancellations ranging from 6pm to 7:45. i took the 5:45 cancellation.
hope this helps somebody that wanted to book there.

I was told the fantasmic dinner pkg was not on the dining plan so instead we are going to do cs and taking it with us to Fantasmic...we are doing Sci fi for lunch that day instead. I just do not want to get there and get a 150 dollar bill, and have to argue over if it is or is not on the plan... :earsgirl:

You're too smart. I think I will do the same thing if I go to see Fantasmic again. I went in Dec and it was freezing...still having nightmares of how cold I was sitting there for almost an hour waiting for the show. :cold:

If it is still warm about an hour or so before the performance...I'll be there with food!

sounds like a great plan...I am thinking I might be forced into getting hoppers, I was not going to get them, HOWEVER now I am realizing my plans just MAY NOT go as perfectly as I think they will and I don't NOT want to see Fantasmic and the only way to do so is on a different night with a hopper if my MGM day happens to be rainy or something. Same with Wishes...
