We are off work now...!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Misti worked the night we got back from our cruise. I am wayyyyyyy too old to be doing stuff like that.

Kara (the cruise director) wasnt as visible or outgoing as Jacqui was. Jacqui really made the trip for Dominique last time. Our server Josko was excellent. Dominique did get back on the Red Carpet and on the Golden Mickeys preview thing, like she did last year.

I was sick the last night. Castaway was awesome. It felt like the easiest docking that we have made. The sun was HOT HOT HOT. We all got burnt. Feeling the brunt of it this week. Missed the party in the atrium that night.

We packed way too many clothes. But it was hard to decide how much we needed, because we had 2 days scheduled at WDW before the cruise. Dom wore her Princess dress the morning we docked in Nassau, that was about the only time on board that she wore it.

The graduation mortar hats were nicer this time. More like regular grad hats. She was on the front row on the stage beside Mickey Mouse himself. She didnt get to go to the clubs but twice, because of her cough. (Chronic sinusitis) and we didnt take any meds but motrin and an allergy med with us.

We missed the CC meet and greet with the captain in order to go to the show in the Theater for the kids.

The fireworks are shot off over PALO. We were on deck 10 above the mickey pool and had excellent viewing of them. They lasted probable about 10 minutes it seemed like. The pirate party was good. Lots of desserts on the buffet before it.

We decided that we probably wont do another 3 day cruise. It is just too short and rushed. Missed a lot of the picture ops with the characters. Will make sure we have all sorts of meds for dominique with us.

Am about to bust, double digits until the August repo cruise... YEA!!!!!!!!!!

I have a question, does Dom mind that the people who play the Disney character's onboard ship change? It's not like at WDW or DL where they're hidden behind a mask. I was just curious to know.

 Hi everyone! Sorry for being absent (minded) :earboy2:

 OMG I am SSSOOOOOO ready for this term to be over! I have had so much to do that I have used every ounce I energy I have. I was so tired yesterday I couldn't do anything. I had a nail appointment and I was sitting there and I almost fell asleep. I was actually worried about driving home after my appointment and I only live 2 miles away. I decided to stay home today and catch up on all the work that is due at the end of the week. I feel so much better having had the whole day to work on it all, as well as tomorrow. Why oh why can't it be 2006 and my cruise be only 3 months away! I miss WDW, Epcot, MGM, AK and DD! But most of all I miss the ship! If I just keep repeating that this is all worth it I will be fine! I finally realized that I don't have to have a 4.0 to graduate. (Stupid over-achiever!)

Then there is a situation at work. We had a new manager start on Monday. But before she started she wanted us all to know that we have to have full availability on the weekends and nights. Well I was hired under the condition that I was to have mainly morning shifts and never work Sundays. Sundays are for DH and I since we see very little of each other during the week. I am going to talk to the new manager tomorrow and see if I will continue working there. AAAAHHHHH! I just know that once school is out my life will be boring and quiet again! And then I'll complain about being board! Thanks for listening to me complain about nothing important!

See, a manager at JC Penney's told me the same thing. I quit persuing the PT position b/c I didn't want even offer myself as being avail. to work on Sundays. Sunday's are our church days and our day is full. I wouldn't have any time to work on that day nor do I want to. Amanda, I don't think there is any law that states for PT employees to work on Sunday's, but what 'rule' are they stating to make it possibly manditory? I'm just curious.

It was lonely on this thread all. I checked our thread off and on today and there weren't any other posts but mine. :(

Glad to see that you all are out there NOW! ;) :wave2:

The new manager says that it is company policy and she want to enforce it now. I have talked to the assistant managers and they sais that maybe she'll overlook it because I was hired for no sundays. Who knows, I just hate asking to special treatment that someone else might not get. I am going to see her today and talk to her. Wish me luck!

No I wasn't able to go in today. DH said I could get my hair done and I jumped at the chance and went today. I look like me again. Blond highlights, no longer brown. I am very pleased.

Good morning everyone. So how's everyones week going so far? Great I hope! Amanda are you getting excited about your vacation to the world? Hopw everyone has a great day!

Hello, all! Just checking in.

Time to 'fess up! How many of you all have been following the "Live From the May Repositioning Cruise" thread? I know I have (all 42 pages of it!!). Guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I know I don't have another cruise in sight, but I'm still having fun reading about everyone's adventures/experiences and can ALMOST imagine being right there! I've actually set the alarm on my cell phone for tomorrow morning (just in case I fall back to sleep after DH leaves for work) at 6:30 am so I can hopefully catch the Magic going thru the Panama Canal on the webcams!! Is this a sickness? :rotfl2:

Well, gotta go run some errands! Post ya'll later.

I admit I've been following the, "Live From the May Repositioning Cruise" thread as well. Half my incoming e-mail is from that thread. I can't believe how many young kids that are NOT on board. Leonor, did you get the web address to watch the Panama Canal cam? I think the link was on the May Repo thread.

:badpc: The DISboard was down for me last night. It's bad enough being off the ship, but not having access to the DIS board makes me feel worse. :badpc:

Amanda01, glad you got to pamper yourself. Hope you feel better. :cloud9:

Dzneprincess, Your kids must be so excited about their trip to WDW. How are you holding up? I can't imagine taking four little ones by myself to WDW. How do you handle it? Is this your first time taking them by yourself? :jumping1:

Leonor, do you have any other web cam links I can add to my computer favorites?

T: Here is the only other link I have: Panama Canal Cams . I believe it's the same views as the other link except that these are all the same size. I was hoping to "capture" it as it passed thru the canal, but these cams won't let you right click and "save picture as". I wonder if anyone else has figured out how. :confused3 Take care all! I probably won't be on the rest of the weekend as we will be on South Padre Island.

T: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and DH!! How many years?

:wave2:

Happy Friday! :sunny: Hello all! Well I talked to my new mamager and everything seems fine. Although I am not sure if I want to stay. It's one of those things where I am not sure how I feel about the new manager. She seems very nice but I am getting a weird feeling. I am going to give it more time so I can get a better feeling or see if I am just just insane. Hope everyone has a great day!

That was AWESOME!! I did manage to get out of bed and turn on the computer just in time to catch the Magic entering the Gatun Locks. My computer (connection) is slow, though, and I only managed to get a few screen shots. There are some great animated gifs that have been made already. Here's another link to add to the one T posted:Magic In Panama Canal!

Well, I've really got to get off my butt and get stuff done. Haven't even packed for our weekend trip!! Gotta get Pokie to the sitters, too!! Take care! Have a great, MAGICal weekend everyone!! WONDER how long it's gonna take me to get caught up on the repo thread when I get back!! :earseek:
