Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

I called the company when they opened. The chic that answered the phone was very casual about it. She said that there was a "glich" in the system and that the charge would fall off in a few days. I told her that I understood how the system worked, because I worked at the bank and that was why I was upset. Not only was my money being held without my permission, but it made me look bad to my employer. She said she was sorry. I then told her to delete my credit card from their system. I loved the idea of their delivery service, but I would never give them a credit card again. Cash or check only!

AAAGGGG! :furious: So frustrated! My bff and I both work in banking so we have a ton of business customers that are always telling us to try out thier new business. Well one of her customers started one of those delivery services that gives you the choice of about 30 different resturants in your area and they delivery to your home. They even deliver Krispy Kremes to her house. Anyway their fees were low and it was delivered in great time. Well the first time the charge went through on my account it was an over charge. No big deal it was corrected in a day. But then the corrected amount was charged again and was pending on my account.

Now if you know how banking works, pending means that the funds don't actually leave but they are placed in limbo for a certain amount of time and can't be used. Well that was all resolved. So this morning, 3 weeks later there is a charged on my account and it's no where near the same amount as the first one. The account that we used is what we call our play account, kinda like, "once it's empty that's it", type of account. But with this charge being placed in pending it shows the account as overdrawn. I will make a deposit today, but it's at the bank I work at so it makes me look bad that I have an account that is overdrawn.

Plus this company had to key in my account number by hand to charge me again. It's too early to call and complain which I am glad about because I am NOT happy! Sorry this is so long, but I just hate getting screwed over! This is why I love love love online banking!!!!!

I'm kind of surprised that business people would try and promote to you (the teller) their business during working hours. I guess you could be pretty slick and slip a brochure or give a website. And I suppose if the lobby is pretty slow that people would have more time to chit chat. Sorry you had to go through all this mess. I'd be pretty upset too. Glad you knew to ask to get your credit card deleted from the system. I never thought about that. Do small/big businesses keep your credit card info. on file for a certain amt. of time? Scary!

I am so tired. Baby's coming in the morning. I get to sleep in! She'll be here at 5:30am instead of 4:30! OMGosh, my body is freaking out. I need sleep! The babysitting is going great. Evie Rose reached out for me today when mom walked in the door. I felt so good. She's kind of a fussy baby, I can't leave her for very long. I'm trying to get her to be in the exersaucer while I'm in the same room doing dishes or getting her meals ready or even just trying to go to the bathroom. Evie is 8mos. and is starting to figure things out. She reaches for the remote, the mouse, and the keypad (that's why I can't DIS well while she's here). I'm not her mom and I'm not going to coddle her. She's going to have to deal with being by herself from time to time even if its for a few minutes. She's really taken to Cameron. I don't know if its b/c she has a 8yr old brother, but she just squeels when Cam comes to see her. Cam is typical boy. He'll play with her for a little bit making funny faces or flopping on the floor. He even took the line from Chicken Little, "In three seconds I'm going to scream like a little girl."He counts 1,2,3....and then he'll scream. Well, she'll scream along with him b/c that's what she can do best.
My girls love having her. They fight about whos going to do what. B/c their still young themselves I'm not letting them hold Evie. I don't trust my own kids. Ages 6 and 3 1/2 are too young in my book. It would be different if this baby was ours, but since the responsibility and liability is so high I don't want to risk any thing!

Now, I'm rambling. I'm so tired. We went to Meijer and I couldn't even shop b/c my brain was/is so dead.

So, are you all having a big Easter celebration dinner/meal? I'm still not sure what I'm going to do and Easter is how many days away???? :faint:

Happy to hear that the babysitting is going well, but my oh my I forgot how tiring it can be. I havn't watched a baby in years. First time I did though it was in jr high and it was the best birth control ever! :teeth:

As far as businesses telling us about their businesses, it generally happens because we make small talk with them. Then the more they come in the more comfortable they feel then they tell us more. Or if we are opening the busines accounts for them they tell us everything. It was actually my BFF who opened all the accounts for this business. She is going to tell the owner about what happened to me.

As of the last few weeks I have noticed a the level of service dropping every where. First there was this last situation, then DH went to a local burger place. It's a northwest chain that uses northwest grown ingredients. Really good food, and kinda pricy for semi fast food. Well the past 3 times we have been there they have screwed up our order. And it's always at the drive thru. Then last night Eric went to Papa Murphys and ordered a pizza with no tomatos. Can you guess what was on half of the pizza.Tomatos! So he said that he orded it w/out tomatos, which the girl sees on the order, she says they can make another one, but it will take another 15 minutes. No apologies, just 15 minutes. No wonder people shot up the post office!

I guess that's the advantage of having their account. They come back. Glad you or your bbf will be able to talk to the owner about your situation.

I KNOW!, I'm right there with you girlfriend. Is it Customer service as we see fit? Expectations just aren't high as they used to be. Even when you go to a retail shop you don't get treated like you would if it were the 1950's (I won't post about the 60's or 70's :rotfl: ). Even on DCL I had higher expectations of all the staff. Some times, I got excellent responses or so so responses from them.

Well, the kiddo is eating KIX so I better keep this short so I can get dressed. Have a great day all!

I have Disney-expectations. I know that is dangerous sometimes, but it's what I expect from other places of business. I want that level of services. It sucks that I rarly find it.

Don't you hate it when YOU are the one trying to be super nice just so you can get decent service...at least service w/o an attitude.

Yeah it's Friday! Well I have some odd dog news. Mason has been having some seizures. It started out that he had one a few months ago, then 2 months ago. So the vet said it could have been a freak thing. Well he had two in the past week. So we went to the vet yesterday and it turns out the he has Epilepsy. My poor puppy has to take medication every day now for the next three weeks to see if that is it for sure. I really hate the idea that we would have to give him medication every day of his life, but these seizures are so tramatic on him I don't see any other choice.

He really only has a seizure when he gets super nervous or excited, seriously. Right outside of my BFF's house, right outside of my inlaws house and then right outside of the pet toy store, which he knows is the toy store. Eric also thinks it might have something to do with the car, and that he might be getting car sick. I don't know, I just hate to medicate him.

Anyway we are going up to Seattle to Ikea, yes again, to get the rest of the stuff, and spend Easter weekend with the in-laws. My SIL will be there. Oh Joy. Can you hear the sarcasism in my typing. She is a "Keeping up with the Jones kind of person" Where as DH and I are just trying to keep up with the dog! :p She tries to get under my skin, but it never works but she keeps trying. It's weird. Oh well I "hop"e (get it hop like a bunny, but it's hope sorry I haven't had enough coffee) everyone has a great Easter!

Amanda (and every one else), I hope you all have a blessed Easter celebration. The phrase grin and bear it comes to mind. I know you'll be fine. If you have to find a nice quiet spot w/ Eric and hide from your SIL. We'll be home for Easter this year so it will be nice and quiet.

As you typed Amanda, its Friday and I still haven't decided if I'm going to make a Easter meal. DH isn't a big Ham fan and the kids don't really care right now. I'd like to have lamb, but that's WAAAYYYY out of our price range.

Poor Mason. Is it genetic for his breed to have seizures? I wonder if there's a herbal/natural way to treat Mason instead of using drugs?

3:00pm- what other Disney cruise blogs am I supposed to be on? I'm gettitng kind of tired of the DIS esp the CC forum. Put a "*" where a v*w*l is supposed to be so the whole name doesn't get ***********.

Good morning all! Well we made it to Seattle and we miss all the traffic. I just wanted to take this one last moment of peace and hop on the net and wish everyone a happy and blessed Easter. I gave up candy for Lent, so I will be a candy pig tomorrow! :teeth: Even my online smiles will have cavites when I am done. Why did I pick something I love soooooo much to give up? Oh yeah I was supposed to! Anyway I hope everyone has a great weekend and a beautiful holiday! Hi ho, hi ho it's off to Ikea I go!!!! :yay:

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all have a great time this weekend. We will be with family all day tomorrow so I probably won't be posting. Hubby and I are going to Universal Studios tonight for Mardis Gras to see Kool & the Gang. What a flashback, huh????? I'll be thinking of you while I am drinking Hurricanes and throwing beads!!!

How do you know when your hard boiled eggs are done? do the eggs float or sink?

9/16 Update: I thought I'd be in the minority of the color wheel. Any way, all things aside it really didn't matter. What mattered most is I celebrated Easter with my family and friends.

Happy blessed Easter All! He is risen...He is risen indeed!-Amen!

Taeja, You both look so beautiful! I hope your DH feels better soon. We went to our families church in Seattle and the service was wonderful. I love when the service is one where you feel like your having a conversation rather than being spoken to like a bad child. Anyway, I thought I would share our family photo as well. Odd fact, the last time we all took a photo together was on easter 2001 on our first Disney cruise! How crazy is that! If you can't find me I am on the far left on the couch with the pearls and Mason on my lap. Check out his smile, he had such a great weekend.

Great picture ,Amanda! Mason looks very handsome. Great looking family. I love all the doggies in the picture.

Good morning all! :surfweb: We were up late putting together our Ikea stuff. I hate that I have an internal body clock that won't let me sleep late. I didn't get to sleep until after midnight and here it is 6:30 and I am awake! I feel the need to add this little guy again. :surfweb:

Teaja thanks, we do love our dogs. The other boston in the picture is Mason's sister. He's still so tired from playing so much this weekend that he's knocked out on the couch. I have a feeling that he will spend most of the day there.

I can relate to Mason. I just wish I could spend the day on the couch instead of at work. :surfweb:

I am with ya. I woke up this morning and was so happy that I had the day off from work. I was thinking that I could just laze around the house and get some cleaning done on my time, then I remembered that I needed to return some stuff at the mall, I have a dentist appointment, I have homework, laundry. . . crap I really need to write all this down or I'll forget it all. I might try and split all that between today and thursday. I love spending the weekend with the family but it sure does throw off my routine. And yes
Mason is asleep and snoring on the couch, lookin super cute! :p
