Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

I think, we may do the comfort Inn Suites thing, to have access to all the 'Atlantis' stuff... anyone know what the 'dig' is????

I'm soo excited... so only one person has their docs right now correct???

I hope we get ours soon...

No docs yet, but TA said to expect them in a week or so. Can't wait.

My family of 4 (DH, DD;11 & DS;8) will be cruising Disney for the first time! I have been flopping back and forth on excursions in Nassau. Have been there before and just did shopping and local beach. Really want to do Atlantis but lately have been toying with the Wyndam. I have read several recommendations on this site about it. It seems as if most people have just gone right there and have had access to everything, without charge! Still not sure what we are going to do. Has anyone else heard or experienced the Wyndam?

Thanks!

All post as soon as we get our docs...

BTW... how DO you find a 'day' rate for Altantis??? I can't seem to find anything...

I called Atlantis about this. I was told that they do have day rates available, the cheapest day rate quoted was $150. They would not let me book this, I was told to call within 24 hours of arriving to check availability.

That sounds reasonable...

I looked on their 'calendar' and Sept 20th, is still in the green... guess we should keep an eye on that huh???

Any idea how many people just waltz off the ship, take the ferry (5 dollars pp per trip right???) and walk in there and ask if there is a room???

Not really sure how many people would think of going to the Atlantis for a day room, but if a lot of people (and they should) check out the DIS site they may know about it.

We are still trying to decide whether we want to book Comfort Inn or take chance of dayroom at Atlantis. Still on the fence about just going to the Wyndam as well.

Count me in also! My husband, 4 year old son, and I will be joining you on the Wonder. It is not our first cruise but it is our first Disney cruise. We are all very excited about going. We are planning to take the Blackbeard beach and stingray swim in Nassau. It was new to the excursion roster. No excursion planned for CC. Any suggestions for us 1st time Disney cruisers? Our cabin is on deck 7 also.

I tried to go to the website for comfort Inn and all, but it wouldn't tell my anything for a 'day' rate... it wanted one night, and said there was no availability for that night of sept 20th. Were you able to find out something from them??

When I called the Comfort Inn I was told they didn't have a day rate. Atlantis was the only one that gave me the dayrate. However, I was able to find a regular rate for the Comfort Inn of $149.99 on-line.

EEYOREFAN1969, what does the Blackbeard beach excursion include? Would you be bringing your DS? I have two children, DD:11 and DS8 and am not sure how they would do with the stingrays. That's why we were considering Atlantis.

My DH and I are using this cruise to get to know about things, then we'll have some ideas for next year when the whole family goes. Then we'll have DD19, DS17 and DD 10 with us, plus a family friend (adult). I don't know that we're going to do any excursions this time. We'll wait and do things as a fmaily next time. This time is just for relaxing really
Almost there!!!:Pinkbounc

 Been out of town for a few days, but I'm glad to see we've got a few more joining us on the Sept 19th Wonder! It's getting so close! Still no excusions planned & still open for suggestions! Counting down 'til we board the Wonder......:wave2:

There's 3 in my group (me, 20, mom 50, dad 45) I kinda wanna get a 'feel' for how many are joining us.... I'd appreciate it, if everyone would post their 'group #'

BTW, is anyone else gonna be in line at 11am w/ us??? or is everyone else, waiting...???

Thanks,
Meg

My family and I cant wait we plan to be there right when the doors open. BTW do you know when that is? I cant believe we are finally so close.

'offical' boarding time is 1pm, BUT this is my 7th cruise, and in my other cruises... we were able to start baording around noon....

so, get there before noon, if you want to board asap.

There are 3 of us in our group. Me mid 40's my granddaughter, 4 and our friend from work mid 30's. It is our 2nd Disney cruise. We tried it out last Oct to see if the "baby" would like it. We think she will. LOL. We are staying on the 7th deck aft, if im not mistaken. We are scheduled to have the same room we had last year.
We probably wont be on board much before 1 pm. Misti will be getting off work at 7 that morning and we are driving down. I took the extra night off so I could drive. Dominique will be bouncing in the back seat.
We can hardly wait. we are off for a short trip to WDW Thurs and coming back on Sat.

I think we all kinda did that at the beginning of the thread, but I'd be happy to share again:hyper: . Our group is DH (31), DD (3.4), myself (32) & my DS(ister)(38~although she looks younger & some people feel the need to ask which one of us is the older one  ).

I think we will try to arrive by 11:00 or 11:30 at the latest. Can't wait to see you all there!

Anyone started packing????????:earseek:

Hi all. I'm not even sure if I'm putting this post up the right way but just wanted to say we'll be on the Sept 19 Wonder cruise also.
DH and I taking DS for his 5th birthday. It is first time to WDW and first cruise for DS and me. I can hardly wait!

Hi Everyone,

Our family of 4 will be going. DH & Myself (both 36), DD;11 & DS;8.

We are flying in the night before and stayiing at a hotel nearby (still have to book one - any suggestions?) Since we bought the transfer from Disney we will be using those the next morning, does anyone know the earliest we can get the buses? We plan to catch the earliest one to get to the Port early.

C-ya all soon!

Faith

I just called DCL and they said they sent my cruise docs yesterday. According to the tracking number they gave me I should receive them on Friday.

Also, I forgot to mention that we are doing the Land/Sea package with one pre-night added so that DS can wake up on the morning of his birthday in WDW. Anyone else doing Land/Sea?
