Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

We did the glass bottomed boat tour in Nassau and were Not impressed. We got off the ship and walked over to the Del Sol store (color changes). We went to the straw market and only stayed a few minutes. It was hot and crowded.
Our cruise missed CC because of high winds and the waves were too high. We woke up to the sound of motors grinding the morning of CC.
We are planning to do the parasailing at CC (hopefully we will get to dock).

Just looking in to see if our thread is still alive. We have been busy working. We did take a short trip to WDW the first part of May. We had a blast. My granddaughter loved the Living Statue over in EPCOT at Italy.

We are going back the end of June for her birthday. Then I think our next trip will be Down to the Cruise line... :bounce: :bounce:

We did a 3 night in March, just the day before my son's 3rd bday. We did NOT take him off in nassau. I personally did not like nassau and will not get off again this trip. My DH and DMIL are talking about going to atlantis, but not I! There is enough to do on board.

The kids clubs are great and the staff are wonderful. They give you a message writer pager when you sign the kids up after you board, and you keep it the whole cruise. If they need you, they beep you. ON Castaway Cay, they do activites there for the kids also. Not on the ship that day, just the Cay. We left Noah there for a couple of hours while we went to the adult beach, then picked him up to take him swimming.

They are open very late, like mn or 1 am, so we went and checked on him the last night out. He went in at 7pm, and was asleep by 830, so we left him until they closed. Usually I dont like leaving him anywhere, but HE WAS ASLEEP! as my husband remimded me!!! YOu get to know the staff and they are great.

Didn't mention, everything is very organized, every activity planned and you are given a schedule when you board and every day of what the are doing in the club, so you can see when DD would want to be there, like dancing with princesses! They will let you stay if you like also. We left him there about 3 hours a day, and he wasnt to excited to leave when we picked him up!

Thanks for the replies! I welcome any other tips/suggestions as this is our first cruise ever! Any suggestions on what to pack? Anyone else staying on deck 5?::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo princess:

We are going to be on deck 7 at the back of the ship. The same room we had last year. Not very far from the small "secret" verandah, I think it is called.

Surely we can't be the ONLY ones going this date! Guess we'll all have plenty of "elbow room"!:p

:bounce: :Pinkbounc  ~So glad to see the countdown FINALLY get under 100 days!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :hyper:

Yipee under 100 days to go! So is anyone going to do any excursions? I want to, but we will be taking a family 7 day cruise like 2 mnths after this cruise, so I amy be strapped for cash:rolleyes:

We are going to try and parasail at CC. Other than that I dont think we will do much else. My gd likes the characters more than anything, so it pretty much depends on her.

ohhh we did parasailing at CC this past October! It was amazing!!!!! AND I am scared of heights!

We cruised last Oct, but were unable to dock at CC so we missed it. boo hoo. Hopefully the weather will co-operate this year.

Just thought I wpuld check in here! Were are getting close you all!!!!! Less than 3 months now! The time is going by quickly. I havent even really given a serious thought to excursions. I think I would like to check out Atlantis, but I am not sure. Has anyone ever been to Atlantis? Was it worth it?

Myself, my dh, my dd 10 (turning 11 on the cruise, & my ds 7 will be on the boat too! My kids are a little nervous about finding friends and would like to meet any ahead of time that might be in their group. We did the Disney cruise May 2003 and they stayed with me the whole time, but now they are anxious to go to the clubs. We are so excited to sail and it is my dh's first cruise. We have made the paper chain and are counting down.

We are taking my 4 yo granddaughter with us. She has never been on a cruise, so it will be an adventure for her. She is a stay at home child, (never been to daycare) so she is looking forward to playing with all the "kids" there. Hopefully she will like it.

We spent from June 29-July2nd at WDW so she is always excited if we mention Mickey Mouse. Coming home today from my parents, She started talking about going on Mickey Mouse's "boat". She gets so excited she just wiggles. I cant wait to see her expression when she does see Mickey's "boat".

It's not too much longer.

Ladypoo,
Hope your granddaughter can meet my 3 yr old DD. I've been home with her for a little over a year now, but she used to go to daycare. It's just the 2 of us most days & she is also looking forward to playing with the other kids! We are hoping she just loves the clubs cause DH & I are looking forward to spending some adult time together:p .

So, who is driving/flying in the day of & who is coming in the day before? Those of you who are coming in a day early: where are you staying & how are you getting to the port?

We have had to change our plans (hadn't booked airfare yet, so it's ok). We were originally going to fly into West Palm & spend a couple of days with my sister, then they would take us up to port & pick us up on Thursday & then fly back out of West Palm on Sunday (Sept 26th). Looks like she may be moving up to North Carolina before then (not 100 % sure of date yet, but don't want to take any chances & wait too much longer to book airfare!), so I guess we are flying into Orlando on Sept 18th & renting a car to drive to port Sunday morning. I would love to hear what everyone else is doing & if you've done this before, any tips on where to stay (closer to airport or closer to port). This is our first cruise, so we are open to suggestions! Thanks, all!

We are driving down the day of the cruise. We both work night shift at our local hospital. I think, (as of right now), Misti is going to work Sat night before the cruise and I am taking off. I will be driving. We normally drive down the day before and stay off I-95 the night before. After the cruise, we are going ove to WDW for 2 nights.

Any time we even mention Mickey Mouse, Dominique starts squealing. She can hardly contain herself.

I hope she enjoys it. I plan on trying out the clubs for her. She does like to play with other kids, she just isnt real big on sharing. We are working on that.

I know on embarkment day she will be dressed in a lime green shorts outfit, I have a lime green shirt that I will be wearing, (has my DIS name embroidered on it) We shouldn't be hard to find. LOL...

Hope to see Ya'll there
