I just called DCL and they said they sent my cruise docs yesterday. According to the tracking number they gave me I should receive them on Friday.

Also, I forgot to mention that we are doing the Land/Sea package with one pre-night added so that DS can wake up on the morning of his birthday in WDW. Anyone else doing Land/Sea?

That's good news...

hopefully.. ours is on the way too...

This time it will just be me and DH. We are flying in the night before and will get a hotel near MCO. We plan to be at the terminal about 10 or 10:30. See everyone there. Only a short time left now!!!:Pinkbounc :hyper:

:yay: :wave2: HI all this is my very first post! :cool1: :woohoo:

We were in Indiapolis, a couple years ago, for the Star Wars celebration 2... It was a nice place. We flew for the day (since Dad works for Delta, we do 'day' trips at least once a year, nice, but LONG days..)

On our trip will be myself, Kristi, (31) dh, Sean, (31) dd, Justice, (turning 11 on Sept. 21) & ds, Jordan (7). We live in Florida however we just moved here 3 years ago from Alpharetta, GA. Its funny to see so many coming for Ga. I moved here to be closer to Disney. IM SO EXCITED!!!

My DH will be celebrating his birthday the same day as your DD. Did you arrange for her to get one of their little birthday cakes? All you have to do is call Disney Cruise line and they will set it up and deliver it to your table at supper. See everyone soon!!

Doin' the DOCS DANCE!!!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!!! Just had to share they were waiting for me when I got home!!!!!!

We're traveling from Indiana the HOOSIER state. I've read so much on these discussion boards that I think my bags will be overstuffed coming aboard instead of the other way around- LOL. Well, I hope more people will post about their traveling the same dates as us. I'll be checking this thread to read new replies-hint hint ;) . We're counting down the days 'til the Mickey boat! Take care!

Grandma's going to be on -->:cloud9:

Hello, there, fellow HOOSIER! Actually I'm a TEXAN now, but I was born in Fort Wayne & moved to TX when I was 10. I have not been back "home" since 1986 & doubt I would even recognize it now.

Anyway, just wanted to say "Welcome" to the Sept 19th Cruise thread! Can't wait to see you all there!

Hello All,

Just squeaked in! Called on Monday (23 Aug) and was able to get a booking. I'm going to be surprising my DW and 3 DD's (6, 4, 10mos) with the cruise. We'll be at the AKL from the 14th until the 19th and instead of taking a left on 95 to head home we'll head to Port Canaveral!

We've never been on a cruise and I'm having difficulty doing any research or planning. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag until the morning of the 19th. It's gonna be hard to do. My wife caught me looking at Disney Cruise Line books last night at Barnes and Noble. Hopefully she's not too suspicious!

Anyways, we'll be there on the 19th. We'll be the ones that don't know what to do or where to turn. We'll make it through though. I've been in the Navy now for ten years. I should be able to go to sea without too much trouble!!

See y'all there!!

Wow, you did just "squeak" in! I hope you are able to surprise your wife & kids! What a surprise it will be! I was quite surprised when my husband announced he wanted to take a "real vacation" this year, but the real surprise was when he agreed to go on the "Mickey Boat"! Wish we had decided to surprise my dd (3.4) instead of telling her about it as soon as we started planning.
So, who does the packing in your family? I imagine it will be you on this trip or what excuse will you give your DW to get her to pack clothes for the "extra" days? Please let us know how the "surprise" works out!

We share the packing duties but I'll have to hide the birth certificates and other cruise specific documentation. We're moving back to Jacksonville in February and we are going to be spending a couple of days in Jax doing house-hunting and I've told them we need to bring some nicer clothes so we can visit our old church. Fortunatelyy (or unfortunately) with the three DD's we always bring twice as many outfits as necessary so we should be ok for the extended trip.

BTW, looks like we'll be in Stateroom 8504. Anyone know anything about it? Good? Bad? Thanks!!!

:bounce:

My advice....

Go to all the 'Disney' shows... the broadstlye shows are ALWAYS excellent...

And whatever you do, don't miss dinner in the dining room. It's always better in the dining room...

other than that try to squeeze in as many 'activities' onboard as you can...

and the kids programs are excellent on any ship, encourage the kids to go at least once.

We'll see you onboard.

BTW... LOL you need 'nice' clothes to visit the old church huh? That's a good one. I was wondering how you were gonna fix in the dinner wear.

We'll be there for our first cruise! Had to wait till the last minute till we were sure of our kid sitting arragements. After all....for our anniversary we don't want the kids along!

JPD3 That is so awesome! I cant imagine the expression on your wife and children's faces. Hey maybe we will catch up with you on the cruise and you can give my dh some suprise ideas. Make sure you bring extra film cause your gonna have some happy campers.

Another kidless couple yay!!. I think that makes three of us. We're going without ours for the first time in 20 years.
I want my docs!! Haven't seen them yet. I feel left out. Oh well, maybe tomorrow, I hope!!
Just 3 short weeks to go!!:Pinkbounc :hyper:

Great some more Disers cruising with us! Can you believe that it is almost our turn? I am so torn about what to do in Nassau. When we have been there before we were very bored. ( Of course I didnt have a wonderful board like this one available to me!

Maybe us kidless couples can get 2gether....what age group is everyone in? My DH is 30 and I am 29.
