Hello all, just checking in. I'm trying to keep up, but work is an absolute madhouse right now. I adore the beagle picks, what an gorgeous part of the world you live in.

I did get the fabric for our Fish Extenders and need to make that this weekend (hoping to do two, actually). If I fail miserably, I can take it down to my mother's next weekend and she can whip it up in 15 minutes.

Quick question - is anyone still planning on organizing a poker game? My DH would LOVE it.

We were talking about it last night at our mini DIS meet. I think there was mention that one of the DISer's husband was planning on organizing. My understanding is that you can't play with money, poker chips or even goldfish so not sure how you get around that except keep score.

Laura, I'm starting to be able to read your mind. I told Johanna at the meet last night that I thought April might be coming.

Good for you for arranging it with the school. I have not said one word to them yet. Figured I'll take care of that once the administration is back in after the Summer break. Not sure how they will react, but I'm going to ask for 2 weeks of independent study. If they won't grant it, well then he'll just be absent.

Attention all I just made my first FE gift ever

Well it was harder than I first thought it would be but after 4 hours of tweeking the first one I got it just the way I liked it. No worries the first one is going to me and my hubby

So now just 15 X 30 minutes each for the first part. Then I would say another 2 hours to design the wrapping rofl it has to be wrapped. Well maybe not, but just adds to the excitement of it all.

And yes it it a gift everyone in the room can use but it is only good if everyone partakes in the gift And if no one participates then you never went on vacation

My thoughts on the Mickey Mouse Club shirts, they look best on an Animator's Palate night. But I don't think that early and late are requesting the same rotation, so that's not an option. I would actually prefer to do it a little later in the cruise, but will go with the majority.

The first show is at 9:30 and runs every 30 minutes. I suggest we meet at 8:30 or 8:45 for the first show because I believe we have some munchkins going with us, so the earlier the better. Life is good: my son's band has a gig at a local club tonight and we just had a nice early dinner date, then went to see Angelina Jolie in "Salt." What a wild ride! Must admit, I like bad a** women!

Wow, I went to the gym this afternoon and to do some shopping and when I came home, my inbox was full with requests to join the jewellery making class. I did not have the heart to say no to anybody and I rather enjoy teaching so I have decided to run two workshops.

I had some more thoughts regarding the keychain/ bag charm and the cell phone charm. I was thinking in terms of doing a DIS theme for the keychain/ bag charm probably spelling out DIS with metal letter beads and adding lime green Mickey heads at either end and doing a pirate theme for the cell phone charm.

I have 18 people signed up so far so could take another two. Here is the list so far. If you have not let me know your preferences as to keychain or bag charm and for the colour-scheme for the necklace, can you do so please?

Would you all be OK if I send you the materials before the cruise and you bring them? It should only cost a few pence to send them even internationally as they are not that heavy, but bringing materials times 20 will take up quite a bit of luggage space.

Also could you let me know if you have Palo Tea booked and the date. I am hoping to schedule this for 3 to 4PM, but want to make sure that this does not clash with anybody's Palo reservation. We might have to slide the time depending on when the tastings take place, but we can sort this out nearer the time if we have to.

I looked at the map as we are also staying at Le Meridien. It is only 750 meters or almost .5 miles to the Praktik Rambla to walk. We are meeting at the Praktik Rambla so I did a Google map.

I don't think it is walking distance. In everything I have read, you either take a tour, taxi or walk into town and take a bus.

Here is a good website that gives more information about taking the bus from the coach park. Hope this helps clarify things.

DH is watching the History channel and they are showing the Top 10 Most Extreme Airports.....they have showed Madeira #9 and Gibraltar #5 and St. Maarten was #4........ 3 more to show. Exciting to see 3 places we will be visiting in just a few weeks!!

• Mickey Mouse Club night (on a casual dining night); If a date hasn't been determined, I suggest a Sea Day early in the cruise before it gets dirty! With that said, does Night 4 (between Gibraltar and Madeira) sound good?....

1) Do you prefer to wear the MMC shirt the night you are personally at AP or as an entire DIS group?
2) When? Week 1 or Week 2?

- Note that if we decide to wear the shirts only when we are personally in AP, then this equates to First Regular Rotation Menu in AP (Night 4, 5, or 6) or the following night in the dining room (Night 10, 11, or 12).​

3) In the event "survey says" majority of people want EVERYONE to wear them on the SAME NIGHT in ALL dining rooms, please vote for which night noted you would prefer to wear the shirts for EACH week. That way if your desired week is not chosen AND the votes dictate that we wear them all on the same night, you still have a voice as to when.

-Give Week 1 preferred Night
-Give Week 2 preferred Night​
