Ok, I just spent the last 3 hours or so updating the roll call page. I Made it larger and put the pictures 3 across. Basically everyones picture got a little larger and the page itself is larger. I had to do this to fit all of our new people and to create room for all those to come!!!

I have decided I am going to make the website larger for all of the pages. That however is not going to be able to be done overnight! I will work on it over the next few days.

Ok back to work on the site.....:surfweb:

Thanks for the hard work.

Hi. We have today cancelled our 2010 Baltic cruise and transferred to this one instead. Hope we can overcome the airfare issue.

We know some of you, having been on the WB Panama Canal cruise last May.

Just me Marilyn and my husband John.

Welcome aboard!!!!

Yes, thanks for the hard work on the site. It's amazing! I have yet to take a photo to send for the rollcall but hopefully I'll get to it before we leave. For Marilyn and John- you mentioned overcoming the airfare issue...what was the issue? Did I miss something? I booked everything through DCL with their air, prenights at the Hilton, and insurance. I'm so looking forward to this fantasic cruise. :-)---Kathy

:woohoo: YEAH! Marilyn and John are joining us! :woohoo:

We are doing the dining plan too. We have never done it so I have been researching away on the DIS boards :surfweb: for all info, tips, tricks, etc! If anyone here has anything to share that would be great! :thumbsup2

We too are trying to pick our restaurants! I am trying to figure out if all those sit down meals will be worth it if we are staying in concerige?!?!?!? I just love the convience of it all, expecially the snack part.

BTW - Did you see the AMAZING thread tellinf you EVERY snack avaiable. I was in shock by all the cool stuff that was included! :scared1: I would have had no idea. I would have just been getting mickey ice cream bars the whole time not knowing there was more to chose from!!!

Whoa - That is the most i have had to say in a long time! I guess I am excited about this trip!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

The thread with the snacks is for 2008 and the same OP will be building one for 2009 as people start getting back and reporting in. Word has it that some of these goodies will NOT be available in 2009 OR some that were just under $4 and qualified have had the price raised to just over $4 and not be on the plan. Nevertheless, there are some good treats out there!

I did the dining plan in Dec 07 and back then it included appetizers (and tips)...and was really too much food. I just wish the 2009 plan gave you an either/or on dessert vs appetizer. Doing the DDP AND staying concierge will provide you with PLENTY to nosh on!

We ate at Citricos last Sept and it was excellent. DW, hotfudgesundae, had this for sweet,
DSC00470.jpg

It was the lemon cheesecake and she said it was the best dessert ever, I had the seasonal berry gratin which was also excellent. We can highly recommend Citricos :thumbsup2
We will also be at the world in Sept this year staying 2 weeks in a 1 bed at SSR using our DVC points, may see you there.

Oh, that looks and sounds fabulous! Between the DDP and then a week on the Magic.....:sad2: ....could be dietary trouble!

OH MY!!!! :yay: :woohoo: Dennis and I are SO happy to hear we will be sailing with you again!! :dance3: :cloud9: :grouphug:

Hi folks! You all are an active bunch! I booked this cruise while we were on the Magic Christmas cruise. I didn't expect to find the first thread closed and 80 pages of a second thread for this cruise meet.

Let me introduce myself...I'm Laurie and I'm travelling with DH Gregg. We have taken 5 DCL cruises with one more booked before this cruise (NYE 09) and one after (Thanksgiving - need to get in all of the major holidays; yes we have already done Easter). I wanted to take the canal cruise but couldn't talk DH into it. I think he felt bad (or maybe he thought I was crazy) when I spent our entire day off watching the Magic go through the canal. We were trying to decide what to do for our 25th wedding anniversary which is this year so I batted my eyelashes as asked so nicely to have this cruise as a late anniversary celebration. :cutie: And it worked....once DH heard the price. I didn't tell him the airfare would cost as much as the cruise. But we'll save that part for later

Now we just have to work on getting someone to watch the kids for two weeks. They will be 14 and 16, both girls. I need to find a really good bribe. WHo the heck wants to watch two teenage girls???!!! No one in their right mind. Their mine and I don't want to be with them for 2 weeks straight  I need to start saving a stash for a night time nanny to watch the kids just in case.

I look forward to getting to know all of you in the next year plus.

Hi everyone. We just booked today & I just happened upon this board, so I thought I would say Hi. :wave2:

Welcome Aboard!!!

If I remember correctly I read that you're in Westchester...we're just up the road from you a bit.

Lot's of Queens/former Queens residents in this bunch...I'm originally from LIC/Astoria/East Elmhurst area (and went to HS for a couple of years in College Point) so I'm a bit familiar with the Flushing area too...I also have to admit that I'm a fan of that other NY team (GO YANKEE'S).

Welcome aboard!

You can find airfare at a reasonable price out of Washington DC or Philly - as of right now we're planning on making the trip to JFK (3+ hours away) because the rates are so much cheaper than getting a puddle jumper from Albany (1 hour away). Also look into AerLingus - they seem to have some of the cheapest airfare out there - I've been checking them regularly as well as the other carrier's and they always come out less.

Welcome! Welcome! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: on the DD dilemma. We are also leaving DD16 and DD15 home for this cruise. There good kids, but your right- I'm not sure Gma can handle 2 weeks of teenage female hormones. I'm already thinking of a "plan B":scared: .

Welcome to ALL of the other newcomers!! This is a great group of people!

Things are good. Still no word on if it is "baby #3" yet. Only time will tell!!!

OK, I missed this when I was skimming all the pages I missed over the holidays! Congrats? Good Luck? Coming from one loving my 3 DD's:love: ! Going back to skim the back pages a bit more carefully and figure out what else I've missed:surfweb:

Oh, and thank you once again for the website. I don't know how you do it:worship: .

Where in Flushing? I grew up on Parsons Blvd near Roosevelt Ave. Its been a looong time since I was back, how are things there?

I grew up on 150th St. near 25th Ave. But we've lived in Virginia for the last 20 years and my mom sold her property there in 2006, so we haven't been there in a while. I can tell you Main Street now has a very large number of Korean immigrants and that area looks quite different than when I lived there (don't know if you remember RKO Keith's and Gloria Pizza--the best!).

Things are good. Still no word on if it is "baby #3" yet. Only time will tell!!!

On a side note I am so excited about the military special that Disney is doing this year!!! We took advantageof this in 2003 and are now planning our trip to go back to WDW this year. We were going to go before the cruise next year but can't pss up this offer!!!

So once again we are surpising our DDs with this trip for their birthdays!!! That is the good thing about having their birthdays on the same day. We can plan one BIG family vacation and say it is for both their birthdays!!!

WDW here we come!!!   Nothing better then 40% off Poly Club Level!!!!!

Wow! Good for you. I've never been club level (much less the Poly), so I don't know how much food is available to the guests, but if you're doing the DP, you probably don't want the DxDP; that is a LOT of food.

WELCOME to Marilyn and John and Laurie and Gregg. :flower3: This is going to be an amazing cruise, I think. We've got everything going for us: great ship, great itinerary, great group of DISers.

And Stephanie, you are amazing! :worship:

Hey guys. I have been working and packing like crazy and you have all been chatting up a storm. Here is my attempt to cathc up:
:wave2: Guys!

Finally back. We spent the NY in Vegas and spent some wonderful family time with the in-laws. .
Welcome back. I enjoyed your photos:goodvibes

Hi everyone. We just booked today & I just happened upon this board, so I thought I would say Hi. :wave2:

Hello and welcome. I am Hadly. DH is Dave and the kids are Marika (12 now--13 on cruise) and Rio (10 now--11 on cruise). This will be our 8th Disney Cruise (second transatlantic). We are currently involved in moving to Germany which is very exciting for us and taking all my time:eek:  My DISName will not maek much senes next month:rotfl2:

Well after all the flip flopping drama, seems I have to drop from this cruise. My BIL is having a big wedding thing that is going to cost us a bundle, so no cruise can be planned right now. Have a great time everyone@!

So sorry Katie. Maybe it will all work out in the end--and if not I am sure you and your family will have a wonderful time at the wedding.

Well, Amy came home around noon (EST) today and everything went well. Unfortunately she is still in a lot of pain but I'm sure that will lessen over the next couple of days. She's had the surgery before so she knew what to expect. !

Thanks for the update. AMY--I hope you are starting to feel better now:hug:

Hadley, hang in there with the packing and preparing for the move. It's going to be so exciting once you're on your way.

HI Marilyn and John and welcome aboard - great to have you sailing with us! We also have to overcome the airfare issue! The flight to Barcelona should be straightforward but booking the flight home is looking like a potential headache! I know we haven't cruised together before but I am sure I have chatted to you on threads before now so it will be great to meet you both in person! (I have a feeling I sent you a DCL planning CD once when I was sending it out to different people in the UK - but I am easily confused so it could have been someone completely different!)
