We got a wii for Christmas too (in addition to this cruise ... being DINKS can be so much fun sometimes ... ;) ) and we're both totally addicted.

Sad to say but we've basically spent our entire Saturday playing with the wii ... :lmao:

We got a Wii too! I am now a professional bowler ... whodathunk?! Are you sore from the Wii yet? Mike and I started out a little sore, but after 72 hours of play .. not so sore anymore.

We are interesting in going, however worry about taking our kids out of school. How many of you are taking your kids out of school for this?

How old are they?
We usually take DN(12 now)(stays with us every 2nd week) she is missing out on this one though as she has school,if she sniffs the wrong way her mum keeps her off school:headache: , Now, as kids we were NEVER off school except holidays and we were fine, but I would never encourage her to be off! I suppose it is a personal thing, if they are healthy and never usually miss school it would be an amazing experience for them!!:woohoo:

The Wii is GREAT! We were addicted, and sore from the start! We got Wii Fit for Christmas this year, and my waist was sore from hoola hooping!!!

We love our WII also. We bought one to bring in the RV with us. We too are bowling pros! :lmao: :rotfl2:

What other Wii games do you guys like?

The Wii is brand new to us, and we very much like the baseball and bowling.

But we rented a few games and either didn't get them or they didn't hold our interest. So we are looking for other really addictive games. Your recommendations are most welcome.

Holey moley, where did all of you get the Wiis from???? I can't find one to save my life (except on eBay, and I refuse to pay $400 for one). :confused3

They have been pretty readily available around here this year, but couldn't be found last Christmas.

The Wii Fit was very hard to find before Crhistmas this year, I lucked out on Black Friday. You should get lucky now that the holidays are over.

I have only really played the sports games that came with it. We also have the game that has ski ball and darts and others (I think it's called party games, or carnival games), which can be fun, but we are perfectly happy sticking to bolwing and tennis.

Renting them before hand is a good idea.

Wii's will be in the Best Buy ad on Jan 4. Stores will have at least the minimum quatities. The Fit will also be in the ad. You will want to get there really early to get one though. Several hours before the store opens.

Thanks for the algae photo- now I know what a Planky is, lol. My imagination was running wild. :-)

I'm working for NY too- I've never been much for celebrating NYE. I'll probably get the tree and decorations down this weekend and make a new door wreath or something to hang for spring which feels like it's already arrived here in Orlando. I have a bazillion scrapbooks to work on too. I can't go on another cruise w/o finishing the scrapbooks from my last ones ( NY resolution= finish my DCL scrapbooks!). What are everyone's NY resolutions? I have one other- learn another language- thinking of using the Rosetta Stone program from the library to learn Italian or French.---Kathy

We're trying to add some Spanish, Catalan, and Portuguese if possible (at least the polite words and necessary ones, you know, like "where's the restroom?" :rotfl: ). I'm impressed that your library has Rosetta Stone!

I can help a bit "Donde el bano?" and how about "Quantos mucho? (how much?)

Welcome to all the newbies!

Don't forget to check out the first post and have your info added to the roll call on the website.

Someone asked those of us who have children if we were taking our children out of school - we're actually leaving our DS home with his grandparents. He will be a sophmore in HS and there is just no way that he can miss this much school - I think that if he was younger (still in elementry school) we would definately take him with us.

Glad to hear that so many of us had great Christmases and congrats to everyone who snagged a WII - we got one not long after last Christmas and enjoy it very much. Santa was good to our family this year and brought us a PS3 - DH and DS have been playing it almost non-stop since Christmas night!

NY's resolution - to lose 30lbs, or better yet to go to the gym at least 3 times a week every week and eat healthier.

Ahem........

THIS IS ME....

IMG_0612-1.jpg

I'm the cute and fuzzy one...

BENDY... has PLANKTON... who is my evil twin - in more ways than I can count...

And as you can see...there are other green fuzzy under the sea microbes roaming the DCL ships... some choose to remain anonymous... the rest of us take up collections at shows in the Promenade Lounge to get PLANKTON out of foreign jails...

And now that I've awoken from my Couvossier laced Xmas cookie stupor... I do believe it is time I get my little green furry butt back in gear and continue on with my long.... VERY long overdue chapter to my TR... (see below for miracles...)

Lets see... where were we last... Tijuana????
