Jackie - I hope to check in periodically on the Tortola thread, as that is our next Disney cruise. We don't plan to buy an internet package onboard (Royal Caribbean is about as expensive as DCL), so it would be from a port.

I don't know if there is a celebration as we go around Cape Horn, but I heard there are celebrations each time we cross the equator.

Woody

Welcome:goodvibes
I'm Hadley and I do all of the posting for our family. I fill everyone in on interesting tid bits when I see them.
DH is Dave. He never reads the DIS but relies on me to keep him informed
DD(12 yesterday) occassioanlly reads but does not currently post.
DS(10 Monday) reads over my shoulder once in a while--doesn't post either.

We currently live in New Hampshire but are moving to Germany in 5 weeks. We have been on 6 Disney crusies thus far.

Welcome Brenda & Jason,
happy to have some more folks coming along. I am Kathy and do 99% of the posting. DH is Greg and he will post 2 or 3 times probably when the cruise is really close. He is a lurker.
I am looking forward to getting aquainted with you and everyone else too between now and the cruise:goodvibes

Good night all,

Kathy

Michelle - We are here, we are here!

I encourage you to outdo us. Really. That way we could cruise with you more.

BTW, we are packing for our cruise next week.

Woody

Hey Woody... I hear they dunk you when you cross the equator... bring your swimmies...

I heard there were eggs and flour involved with crossing the equator, lol

Woody... go for the Order of the Magellan... it's for round the world...BY BOAT... didn't you take at least 1 boat when you went around the world???

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
DH and I spend the day driving around visiting family.

I am so proud of myself! I got DH a Wii for Christmas that I ordered well before Thanksgiving and I kept it a secret! He was so suprised and we have been playing it like crazy since Friday morning.

Welcome to all the new cruisers!
Just a few more days until we can say our cruise is next year!

We got a wii for Christmas too (in addition to this cruise ... being DINKS can be so much fun sometimes ... ;) ) and we're both totally addicted.

Sad to say but we've basically spent our entire Saturday playing with the wii ... :lmao:

Woody there are certificates for crossing the equator from the place we got our Pan Can certificates.

I was hoping to get something like that when I went to Australia! No such luck though!

Wow Woody, that cruise is going to be amazing! Take lots of pictures and be sure to post them when you get home. Many days is the cruise?

Does your arm hurt from playing baseball? My arm is killing me and I really haven't had too many chances to play it yet!

I had to respond to this... we got the kids a Wii this year and I've been playing tennis and baseball for the past couple of days and BOY does my arm hurt..... (I only get to play once they go to bed- with 3 kids... taking turns... I wait till they are asleep and then I play to my heart's content or until my arm feels like it's gonna fall off- whichever comes first LOL)

I wonder if my right arm is gonna get buff and my left arm stay weak? LOL

My hubby done it with the navy, I hear there was more than eggs, lol

**... Pokes head into thread ... **

Hello! My husband and I gave ourselves this cruise as a Christmas giftie! It meant that we had to give up the cruise we had planned for October 2009 but since we've already sailed an Eastern Caribbean itinerary it didn't bother us too much.

We got a great quote from Dreams that included airfare and are sooooo excited to able to take such a unique trip. We've never been to Europe and while this will only be a very small taste at least it's a start.

My name is Brenda and my hubby is Jason - we've been on two Disney cruises (a Western in 2004 and an Eastern in 2005) and love visiting WDW in October for the Food and Wine Festival. We're DINKS who love to eat and drink and laugh ... we're both pretty silly but we like it that way.

I do most of the posting so most likely I'll be the one chatting with ya over the next 20 months or so. We're really looking forward to getting to know everyone and sailing in 2010!

Brenda :goodvibes

Welcome aboard Brenda and Jason - this will be our 2nd cruise and our 1st without our kids - great to have you on board. We were at the Food and Wine Festival in Epcot last October - I must try and read your trip reports as the titles sound really interesting!

Yes we did. Does that count?
