:thumbsup2going to need to look through my wardrobe see what i can find.

just searching for accomodation in barcelona just now, but struggling to find a room for 2 adults and 2 children even though one will only be 8 months old,
anyone in same position got any recommendations??

I am determined to underpack for this trip.....we always take way too much, half of it never gets worn and we end up washing & wearing the same clothes over again anyway.

Less is definately more. :thumbsup2

I know this sounds really sad but, in the past we've also packed way too many clothes, so I now make up an excel spreadsheet with the 14 days on it, listing port days, sea days and what the attire will be counting for 2 formals, one semi formal and cruise casual. I work out what can be mixed and matched and it certainly cuts down the volume of clothes and you don't put in the "just in case" bundle :thumbsup2

I've just treated myself to some neutral mushroom coloured shoes which go with lots of my dresses, which will cut down on the number of shoes I need to take, I am a bit of an Imedla Marcos and took about 10 pairs last times, yikes!! :rotfl2:

Mary...we are going to get along so well!!!!!! I  shoes (and of course handbags too) I usually pick out all the ones I want to take and then Lee makes me halve it and then halve it again. :headache: I got in so much trouble last summer as he counted all my shoes/boots/trainers/sandals etc and I had over a 100 pairs.......i'd better not tell him I just ordered two pairs of those lovely Birki's from a few pages ago, had I? :rolleyes1

The spreadsheet sounds like a great idea. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to let you know that I can't make this cruise but I hope u all have an awesome time!

I'm so sorry you won't be able to make it. :sad1: Maybe another time.

Imelda was an amateur. Waaaaay back when (when I had a really good job), I used to wear cute shoes to work. I had over 60 pairs of boots alone. :scared1: No clue how many pairs of shoes. Bit ridiculous, really, but I could never resist a shoe sale.

I've already started looking at my shoe collection to decide what I should take. Not only am I not giving up the formal dresses, I'm also not giving up the cute shoes! Thank goodness Dennis is a good sport about my obsession.

Claire & Mary......I'm hanging with you guys! Love my shoes! I start matching my shoes to my outfits and I swear I have more shoes packed than clothes! lol Ridiculous how many pairs you wind up taking. Why can't we be like men......1 pair of brown shoes, flip flops, and 1 pair tennis shoes!!! :confused3 It's a curse from the shoe gods!! :sad2:

Lol, we defefintely will :rotfl2: When we moved house a few years ago, Stevie was horrified that I had about 75 pairs and they have only increased since then, a girl can never have enough shoes  and handbags  the cruise is easy though, I only take my DCL Dooney & Burke handbag for travelling and also the little clutch purse with me that I use every night, perfect size for lippy, perfume and KTTW card :thumbsup2

Definately not! You can NEVER have too many of either.

Don't get me started on Disney Dooney & Bourke.....I am so in love with my new bag from the Dream. I have a couple of D&B's, what one do you have?

This is what I spent part of my day doing today. I got the cookie cutter just the other day in the mail and I couldn't wait to try it out! :yay:

They look so good :thumbsup2

That's a great idea Mary. I have excel lists for dining, park hours, even which room has what view at the BCV's, so why not clothes:)

I have a Dooney & Bourke...I have never used it though as I've just never got round to it. It's still in the wardrobe in the original packaging.

This is mine

I love this one! I've seen all the others but this is my favorite. Shame on you for not using this one yet! :upsidedow So cute! I can hear it screaming out now "Take me out shopping....show me off!" lol

Lovely bag Michelle, i've got the smaller version. :thumbsup2

That's for all the good luck wishes on my little souvenir. I definitely remember that commercial! I loved it. Here's hoping :goodvibes

Got our airfare booked for MCO to home today.
Still working on the Pittsburgh to BCN. DH actually okayed us flying in on Tuesday now so we'll have a few days in Barcelona. I can't wait even though we still have to make tons of plans.

Just figured out that DS and I can check 1 bag each (no more than 50 pounds) and can each take on a carry-on and 1 personal item. Sheesh....how am I gonna cram all our clothing requirements into that?:confused3

I believe that is going to limit our "dressy" attire to some slacks and sweaters (maybe 1, no more than 2 dresses for me) and his slacks and jacket. There goes my dream of a gown for formal night! I did think about just checking 1 more bag, but its $60 now

Must rethink the packing strategy now. FE items, SM items, scrapbook exchange items, shoes, toiletries....oh yes, and clothing!

Karen
I feel your pain. I rethink and repack SO many times. Flat small and smalller:rotfl2:

Here is my new Dream one.....

I know Deb. I was just looking at it today. I took it out of it's packaging and put it straight back in. I just can't bring myself to use it...:confused3

Great tastes Claire :)

Love them all Claire.

I don't know if I want a DCL one or a WDW parks one in September.

Ladies, your bags are fabulous!

And I've yet to meet a woman who doesn't love shoes and purses. I'm a sandal nut myself, so most of my shoes are sandals and flip flops!

Thanks. :)

I know what you mean, I quite fancy another one but not sure what......have you seen the 40th Anniversary ones? They had just been released when we were there last month and I quite liked the messenger style one but I had already spent way too much money. :lmao:

Thanks.

I think probably half of my shoe collection are sandals. :thumbsup2 I can't wear heels due to issues with my tendons being too short, I was born with it.
